The main purpose of the study was to assess the water coming to the consumer from the sources of centralized and non-centralized water supply in different parts of the Peninsula and used by the population of the Republic of Crimea for drinking purposes, in terms of their physiological value, with the identification of possible risks to public health. Outdated equipment and methods of treatment of water treatment plants do not provide the necessary level of quality of drinking water. Residents of many settlements are forced to use water from underground sources, especially in the steppe and Northern Crimea, with increased mineralization (up to 2 g/dm3 and more) and hardness. To achieve this goal, water samples were taken from different water sources (tap water, wells, wells) covering the South-Eastern part of the Peninsula, their chemical composition was determined, as well as a comparative analysis of the obtained salt composition of water to assess their physiological usefulness and compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards. The discrepancy of physiological fullness and sanitary and hygienic standards on mineral composition was established. The content of calcium, potassium and sodium in the test waters are acceptable. To ensure the full value of water it is necessary to conduct additional water treatment, as water of inadequate quality has a negative impact on human health.

The settlement of Volna 12 was excavated in 2013– 2015, on the Taman Peninsula. The settlement is located on the south-western coast of the Taman Peninsula, 5.8 km north-west of the outskirts of the Volna village and 1.8 km north of Cape Panagia. The period of the settlement's existence falls on the late 17th (possibly the beginning of the 18th) – early 19th centuries. The settlement with an area of 31 hectares has been fully explored, so we have the opportunity to work with its materials in full. The previously unpublished ceramic material of the settlement - dishes and ceramic household items – is considered in the article by groups and categories. Particular attention is paid to non-glazed ceramics, which for a long time remained outside the interests of researchers. The article considers such categories of ceramic vessels as Aquarius, jugs, bowls, household vessels, braziers. The settlement did not exist for a very long period of time (about 100– 150 years), therefore, chronological differences in the ceramic material cannot be found. Obviously, it mainly comes from one or several centres of the South-Eastern Crimea, but the question of the centre of production of these vessels remains unresolved.

Designated foreign and domestic experience in the field of territorial marketing and branding. The problems and prospects of applying the tools of territorial marketing and branding in relation to the Uchalinsky municipal district – one of the south-eastern regions of the Republic of Bashkortostan – are analyzed in detail. The conclusion is made about the need to diversify the economy of the region and the feasibility of developing a comprehensive program – the “Marketing Concept of Uchaly District of the Republic of Bashkortostan”, aimed at increasing its investment attractiveness and competitiveness. A number of territorial brands for the Uchalinsky district of the Republic of Belarus are proposed – “Uchalinskaya Jasper”, “Uchalinsk Gold”, “Uchalinsky Silver”, “Uchalinsky Kumys” and others. The necessity of introducing in the Department of Economic Development, Investments and Entrepreneurship of the District Administration additional staff units of specialists in the field of territorial marketing and branding, which would supervise more clearly the issues of patenting, branding of local products, is substantiated. As a result of the study, the authors prove the necessity of organizing in the future in the Republic of Bashkortostan a tourism and recreation zone with a preferential taxation for subjects of ethnic business, including agricultural and ethnic tourism, primarily in the south-eastern regions. It was concluded that the integrated application of the marketing approach in the regional and municipal management will contribute to increasing the investment and tourist attractiveness of rural areas, more efficient development of the rural economy, growth of employment, incomes and quality of life of villagers.

The results of the study of anthropization of valuable natural territorial complexes of the subalpine and alpine highlands of Chornohora under the influence of recreational and tourist activities in the vicinity of Brebeneskul Lake (Ukrainian Carpathians) are presented. Anthropization is caused by continuous cutting of bushes, clogging and trampling. The study is based on the results of expeditionary field research. A map of degradation centers of natural territorial complexes of the subalpine and alpine highlands of Chornohora in the vicinity of Brebeneskul Lake on a scale of 1 : 10 000 at the level of simple tracts and subtracts with the use of modern mapping methods is made. Peculiarities of formation, area and configuration, as well as landscape differentiation of centers of development of degradation processes of high-mountain landscape complexes in the vicinity of Brebeneskul Lake are analyzed. It is established that the most recreational load is experienced by the complex tract of my-boulder moraine-scree bottom of the Brebeneskul Cirque of the south-eastern exposition. The cutting of mountain pine (Pinus mugo Turra) and littering on the area of about 0,8 ha, trampling of the soil and vegetation cover on the area of 1,0 ha were recorded here. The deterioration of the ecological situation in the vicinity of Brebeneskul Lake is the result of unorganized recreational and tourist activities. Recommendations for reducing the negative impact of recreational activities and reducing the degradation of natural territorial complexes subalpine and alpine highlands of Chornohora in the vicinity of Brebeneskul Lake are outlined.

The South China Sea is a maritime space where States have overlapping claims and unsettled maritime boundaries. While driven by territorial competition for ownership of some of the islands, the core contradictions are more related to freedom of navigation. This sea is one of the world’s most important shipping, trade and energy routes, a rich potential source of sub-sea oil and gas and a major fisheries area. The Republic of the Philippines v The People’s Republic of China Arbitral Tribunal Decision of 12 July 2016 1 (the arbitral ruling) under the United Nations Convention for the Law of the Sea 1982 heightened the tensions in the area but they had previously been long standing and it merely escalated the concern that the tensions would impede or even halt regional and global commerce. This article focuses on the importance of the South China Sea and argues that if the South China Sea issue is not handled properly, it would be damaging to the exporting and the importing countries in this region in particular and worldwide trade in general. There has already been a negative impact on economic cooperation and the long term development in Southeast Asia and further tensions could be highly damaging for all of the countries concerned.

The results of research of green areas in localities Malorechenskoye and Rybachye (South-Eastern Crimea) are presented. Large-scale landscaping of the studied territory was carried out in the 60-80-ies of the XX century. Modern structure of green spaces is typical for coastal settlements – basically, these are parks of recreational complexes, with high concentration of diversity of trees and shrubs species. A historical park (the oldest one) in the South-Eastern Crimea (late 50s – early 60s of the XIXth century) is also located in Malorechenskoye. The researches made taxonomic, botanical-geographical and biomorphological analysis of dendroflora. The frequency of occurrence of species, the condition of plants, as well as the degree of their drought and frost were assessed. The studied dendroflora includes 106 species belonging to 75 genera from 43 families. The species diversity of trees and shrubs in Rybachye is higher than in Malorechenskoye (89 and 67, respectively). At the same time, 13 species are widely distributed in both settlements, the most numerous of which is Cupressus sempervirens. It was revealed that species of the Mediterranean floristic region predominate (31.1 %), and representatives of native Crimean flora take a significant place (34.9 %). The leading position in the biomorphological structure of the dendroflora belongs to deciduous trees (25.5 %), followed by deciduous and evergreen deciduous shrubs (19.8 % each), and coniferous trees (17.0 %). The species diversity of deciduous shrubs and coniferous trees is significantly higher in Rybachye than in Malorechenskoye. Most plants are adapted to local climatic conditions: 57.5 % of species are not damaged by drought, the rest suffer from it in different degrees; 78.3% of species are frost-resistant, others are periodically damaged by low temperatures and need better protected from frost and cold winds planting sites. The absolute majority of species (95.3 %) are in good condition. Plants Aesculus hippocastanum, Buxus balearica, B. sempervirens, Euonimus japonica are more or less affected by pests and diseases. Special attention should be paid to the preserve the historical park in Malorechenskoye and to give it a protected status.
