The article is a monitoring of the main events concerning the Muslim community of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2020 based on content analysis of text materials from government reports, press releases, websites and social media pages of Islamic organizations. The pandemic that began at the end of 2019 and the lockdown introduced in Russia demanded that Islamic communities adapt to new conditions. The danger of the spread of COVID-19 has reduced the internal confl ict in the Islamic environment and the public’s attention to the problems of radicalism. The drop in mosques attendance was off set by the development and use of digital resources in religious activities. At the same time, limited contacts, reduced offl ine events and meetings contributed to strengthening the new course of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Bashkortostan towards decentralization and regionalisation. The activities of the Central Spiritual Administration of Russia, located in Ufa, remained without change on a national scale.

The paper attempts to estimate, in monetary terms, the volume of free digital services in GDP while assessing the contribution of digitalization to changes in welfare and economic growth. Approaches to such an estimation are analyzed and criticized. In particular, the calculation of the added value created in the digital sector does not properly reflect the economic effect of digitalization. Alternative auxiliary methods for estimating the contribution of digitalization to GDP growth are considered: the creation of satellite accounts of the digital economy within the SNA; the categorization and calculation of “purely” digital goods. The paper analyzes the methodology of calculating GDP which takes into account consumer surpluses from the use of free digital goods. The advantages of this methodology are outlined, including the consideration of a significant part of the digital sector of the economy in the calculation of GDP, as well as the relative ease of its use. This methodology was tested by drawing on the example of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is an inherited disease of bone characterized by increased bone fragility. Here, we report the results of the molecular architecture of osteogenesis imperfecta research in patients from Bashkortostan Republic, Russia. In total, 16 mutations in COL1A1, 11 mutations in COL1A2, and 1 mutation in P3H1 and IFIMT5 genes were found in isolated states; 11 of them were not previously reported in literature. We found mutations in CLCN7, ALOX12B, PLEKHM1, ERCC4, ARSB, PTH1R, and TGFB1 that were not associated with OI pathogenesis in patients with increased bone fragility. Additionally, we found combined mutations (c.2869C>T, p. Gln957* in COL1A1 and c.1197+5G>A in COL1A2; c.579delT, p. Gly194fs in COL1A1 and c.1197+5G>A in COL1A2; c.2971G>C, p. Gly991Arg in COL1A2 and с.212G>C, p.Ser71Thr in FGF23; c.-14C>T in IFITM5 and c.1903C>T, p. Arg635* in LAMB3) in 4 patients with typical OI clinic phenotypes.

Introduction. Over the past two decades, a large amount of data has been accumulated that show the significant impact of social factors on the health of the population. The Republic of Bashkortostan is a large industrial centre and one of the most promising subjects of the Russian Federation. Purpose of the study. Ranking the territories of the Republic of Bashkortostan by priority socioeconomic indices, as well as determining their impact on the health of the child population. Material and methods. As the initial data, the materials of the socioeconomic state of the Republic of Bashkortostan, data on the number and morbidity of the child population for the period 2014-2018 were used. Correlation-regression analysis was carried out, and qualitative assessments of the results obtained were given. The principle of dividing the territory into seven socio-economic zones, taking into account climatic and geographical features, the development of industrial potential and the existing socio-economic ties, was chosen as the basis for the study. Results. The ranking of territories by socio-economic indices in the Republic of Bashkortostan showed that most of the municipalities (over 60%) have a low level of socio-economic development. The most favourable conditions in terms of social comfort for children were found in the southern, central and northwestern economic zones. So, as socio-economic indices improve by 2018, the incidence of the population tends to decrease. Conclusion. Thanks to the data obtained, a number of the most disadvantaged areas in socio-economic development and morbidity in the child population have been identified. In these territories, it is recommended to develop a set of measures to improve and stabilise socio-economic indices.

The article presents the results of a study of the climatic characteristics of the cold period in the city of Ufa of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the modern period. For the analysis, the authors used traditional processing methods. To identify climate changes, different base periods were considered (1961-1990, 1981-2010, 1991-2020). In some cases, time series of long-term observations were available only since 1973, so in these cases two base periods were distinguished. The statistical characteristics and changes in air temperature and its amplitude, the dates of the beginning/end and duration of the cold period, the amount of precipitation, relative humidity, the height of the snow cover and its moisture reserves, the dates of establishment/destruction and the duration of the snow cover are analyzed. Correlations between climatic indicators are shown. The study revealed that in all months of the cold period there is a tendency to increase air temperature, while the greatest contribution is made by an increase in minimum temperatures. A steady reduction in the duration of the cold period was found due to the shift of the start date to a later date, and the end date to an earlier one. The amount of precipitation tends to increase. Due to the reduction of the cold period, the duration of the snow cover in the city of Ufa decreases.

Currently, there is a steady trend in the world aimed at finding new raw protein sources and their industrial processing into functional food products. The modern food market is represented among other things by non-alcoholic beverages from plant raw materials (vegetable "milk", fermented plant drinks), combined fermented milk products of complex raw materials, which are becoming popular among consumers and are in high demand among the population. The study shows the possibility of using pea grains of Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture BashSC RAS (BRIA, Republic of Bashkortostan) varieties in the technology of obtaining fermented products. Consumer qualities, the chemical composition of pea varieties of the BRIA selection (Chishminsky 95, Chishminsky 229, Pamyati Khangildin, Yuldash) and their ability to germinate have been investigated. The possibility of their use for obtaining a plant dispersion intended for manufacturing fermented products from plant raw materials has been established.
