scholarly journals A Review on Hardware Accelerator Design and Implementation of CORDIC Algorithm for a Gaming Application

Co-ordinate Digital rotation computer is the full form of CORDIC.CORDIC is a process for finding functions using less hardware like shifts, subs/adds and then compares. It's the algorithm used for some elementary functions which are calculated in real-time and many conversions like from rectangular to polar co-ordinate and vice versa. Rectangular to polar and polar to rectangular is an important operation in CORDIC which are generally used in ALUs, wireless communications, DSP processors etc. This paper proposes the implementation of physical design for CORDIC algorithm for polar to rectangular and rectangular to polar conversions, by the use of RTL code in written in Verilog and fed to pre-processor, cordic core and post processor. This type of implementation results with greater efficiency, throughput by reducing power consumption and implanting it with high frequency. Hence due to great efficiency with low power it can be used for gaming applications.

The present study investigated processing of morphologically complex words in three different frequency ranges in monolingual Finnish speakers and Finnish-Swedish bilinguals. By employing a visual lexical decision task, we found a differential pattern of results in monolinguals vs. bilinguals. Monolingual Finns seemed to process low frequency and medium frequency inflected Finnish nouns mostly by morpheme-based recognition but high frequency inflected nouns through full-form representations. In contrast, bilinguals demonstrated a processing delay for all inflections throughout the whole frequency range, suggesting decomposition for all inflected targets. This may reflect different amounts of exposure to the word forms in the two groups. Inflected word forms that are encountered very frequently will acquire full-form representations, which saves processing time. However, with the lower rates of exposure, which characterize bilingual individuals, full-form representations do not start to develop.

Interleaved Boost Full Bridge integrated LLC resonant (IBFB- LLC) is an isolated DC/DC converter with directional power flow, which can cope with a wide input voltage range of PV applications. The main losses of the converter are switching losses of the power switches and transformers losses. This paper proposes a method to improve the efficiency of the IBFB converter due to zero voltage switching technique, in combination with employing new SiC MOSFET technology instead of the conventional Si MOSFET. In addition, Litz wire is also adopted to reduce the losses on the high frequency isolation transformer. Both numerical simulations and experiments with a prototype 2.5kW converter are implemented to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed solution.
