scholarly journals An Empirical Analysis on Information Technology Adaptation in Nationalized and Private Sector Banks

Information technology adaptation in banking system is essential for facing challenges with competitors, smooth running and to meet requirement of the target customers by providing them best and fast services expected by them. Hence the objective of present research is to compare the adaptation of information technology in Nationalized and Private sector banks. This paper assesses the use of Information Technology and its services in Nationalized and Private banks. The present study was conducted in Nationalized and Private sector banks of Indore (M.P) division. While selecting the bank branch, care was taken to check whether that bank is using Information Technology for providing services to customers. The study shows that there is no major difference in level of Information Technology Adaptation, but Nationalized banks does not provide proper technical assistance and training programs as compared to Private banks. Data was collected from 298 employees of Nationalized and Private Banks from Indore division. T-test was used for data analysis

This study addresses the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4’s objective to increase the number of adults with relevant skills for employment and decent jobs by looking at the context of aged academics in the domain of digital academia. The literature review reveals that there is a scarcity of research studies related to aged second-career academics. Previous studies which have been carried out on second-career academics in business schools did not address the issue of information technology (IT) literacy. Therefore, this exploratory study aims to contribute to the conversation of increasing and sustaining the number of professionally and capably enriched aged second-career academics in digital academia. A hermeneutic interpretive approach is adopted, covering eight aged second-career academics from various types of higher education institutions across Malaysia. The findings from this study suggest that significant support, appropriate IT development and training programs in enhancing their information technology proficiency and literacy is crucial. The finding suggests that this is particularly pertinent for sustainability with respect to aged second-career academics. The study is expected to enhance the governance of universities with regard to introducing proper orientation and training for supporting and improving the information literacy of aged second-career academics in business schools especially for blended delivery of business education.

This Article was based on the research findings that attempted to describe the influence of education and training towards the improvement of the employee’s work capability at Parepare City Department Of Education. There were two types of data that had been used in this study, i.e quantitative and qualitative. The data analysis was done through descriptive and comparative methods. The findings indicated that education and training had greater influence towards the employee’s work capability at Parepare City Department Of Education, so that a greater number of education and training programs had beeb conducted. It was concluded that education and training programs for employee were very contributive for their work capability.

In present scenario, Indian banks are struggling with challenges related with NPA’s. Some years before these banks were in Flourishing heights.but health of these banks deteriorated because of non performing assets. Many Indian banks have been controlled their non performing assets up to a level, but some banks still have been failed to control their NPA’s status, as a result, NPA hitting the profitability of these banks. Through this research paper we have examined the trend of NPA’s over the past 8 years and the relationship between NPA’s and profitability of private sector banks. According to the Reserve bank of India priority sector lending must be promoted so that those sectors who can’t approach the organized market for lending purposes and can’t afford the higher commercial rate of interest, can get loans in an easy way. RBI specified the percentage of loans to priority sectors out of the total money lent by the banks.  This paper examines the NPA in Priority Sector Lending and the impact of priority sector lending on the gross NPA of private sector banks. The result showed the significant impact of priority sector lending on gross NPA of private Sector banks. This study revolves between the period 2005 and 2012.

The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the influence of the expertise of system users, education and training programs, information technology and top management support for SIMDA Finance in Village Office in Sub-District Jebres Surakarta. The population in this study is the District of Jebres District with a sample using purposive sampling obtained a sample of 30 respondents. The results showed that the variables of system user expertise, education and training programs as well as top management support had a significant effect on SIMDA Finance, while the information technology variable had no effect on SIMDA Finance.
