Throughout the world, mathematics plays a vital role for the educational and developmental aspirations of any country. The quest to teach mathematical knowledge in a viable and effective way so as to induce creativity and applicability among learners is an ongoing challenge, especially for developing countries. A better understanding of how students learn mathematics coupled with effective application of mathematical e-learning can enhance meaningful learning of mathematics and make the subject more exciting. In this note, we introduce a mathematical e-learning model suitable for the modern digital era based on the learning theories of social constructivism, social realism, and connectivity. We then discuss the feasibility of implementing the model on an open source e-learning platform. Our findings reveal that the platform offers a developer’s tool for coding and customizing templates to attain higher levels of usage and interactivity in which learners can create and control learning objects while they observe the results.

Emerging information and communication technologies and learning models have triggered a new wave of educational innovation: electronic learning (E-learning). This study employs a hypercube innovation model to analyze the differences in technology and learning models in conventional (face-to-face) classroom learning and E-learning environments. The results of the analyses indicate that the innovation from traditional classroom learning to E-learning is radical for both the learner and instructor, leading to drastic changes in the technology and learning model. For education institutions, the technology is a fundamental change, while the learning model is reinforced. From the dynamic capability perspectives, a set of core capabilities needed for successfully exploiting E-learning is identified. These results provide insight for learners, instructors, and education institutions for enhancing their understanding of E-learning innovation and provide guidelines to help E-learning stakeholders adapt from conventional classrooms to E-learning environments.

The current COVID-19 pandemic requires everyone to limit their activities outside home. This situation also affects the learning process, which requires students and teachers to do their work from home without having to meet face to face following the government policies in schools. Therefore, they must use electronic learning (e-learning) to solve these problems. However, this e-learning model has not been well responded by teachers for learning activities. The research examines the readiness of Learning Object Materials (LOM) during the pandemic at two vocational schools in Magelang. To assess the teachers’ readiness, a mixed-method is used, namely qualitative and quantitative methods. Interview and technical assistance are also done in the research. The results show how the material can be completed using the available time so that the teachers can focus on deepening the material and increasing correspondence. The use of free software using a computer can answer the e-learning model. Moreover, after mentoring, there is a 27% increase in understanding about LOM materials. However, it is also found that teachers are not ready and do not understand how to start online learning and use elearning. There are problems in knowledge, the Internet, the LOM process, facilities and infrastructures, as well as the combination of theory and practice.

The Electronic Learning (e-Learning) is one of trend education in Indonesia. Mobile learning is a part of electronic learning or better known as e-learning. Regarding the number of users of mobile devices in Indonesia, mobile learning can be used as an alternative to solve problems. The purpose of the mobile learning program is to facilitate student learning wherever and whenever. Because it has characteristics that are pre-practically carried everywhere, mobile learning has its own interests. Therefore, the researchers develop effectiveness mobile-based learning for student problems as the answer to the challenges of the curriculum in Indonesia and to the development of the contemporary model to help students and educators to learn more easily at least to provide student learning motivation. The T-Mobile Learning Model aims to provide a practical knowledge in conducting problem-based learning model on a listening subject that is relevant to the current problems, especially for a new student of the education faculty at Universitas Islam Kadiri. The result shows that the Model can improve the learning in a listening subject which its implementation has been integrated into the special theme from the test scores and students' result.

Educational technology is developing rapidly, making education more accessible, affordable, adaptable, and equitable. Students now have the option to choose a campus that can provide excellent blended learning curriculum with minimal geographical restraints. We proactively explore ways to maximize the power of educational technologies to increase enrollment, reduce failure rates, improve teaching efficiency, and cut costs without sacrificing high quality or placing extra burden on faculty. This mission is accomplished through open source learning content design and development. We developed scalable, shareable, and sustainable e-learning modules as book chapters that can be distributed through both computers and mobile devices. The resulting e-learning building blocks can automate the assessment processes, provide just-in-time feedback, and adjust the teaching material dynamically based upon each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Once built, these self-contained learning modules can be easily maintained, shared, and re-purposed, thus cutting costs in the long run. This will encourage faculty from different disciplines to share their best teaching practices online. The end result of the project is a sustainable knowledge base that can grow over time, benefit all the discipline, and promote learning.
