We carried out the analysis of the situation with the combined disposal of solid municipal waste (SMW). Due to the fact that the designs of waste chutes used today are not intended for selective (separate) collection of SMW, the article examines the possibility of renovation and modernization of the waste chute and waste collection chamber for selective collection of SMW in the existing apartment buildings. The authors offer a variant of modernization of the waste collection chamber, which consists in the following: in the waste collection chamber there are several containers, instead of a branch pipe and a gate, a single apron is arranged for all containers, equipped with flaps that open for the desired type of waste when the corresponding button is pressed on the control unit. The possibility of organizing street container platform for selective collection of SMW was considered for the apartment buildings which do not have waste chutes. To calculate the size of the required containers, we conducted a study to determine the mass and volume of different SMW fractions per person. According to the results of the study, a calculation was made for the selection of container sizes for all types of waste for the waste collection chamber and for the street container site, with the determination of the frequency of SMW removal. An algorithm for selective collection of SMW in existing residential buildings has been developed.

Most of the residential multi-apartment buildings in use in our country do not meet modern regulatory requirements for the level of thermal protection of external enclosing structures. Such buildings require renovation. The objects of the research are residential buildings of KPD-4570 series, which are a typical series of buildings for military towns. The options for improving the energy efficiency of residential construction with the help of selection of heaters that meet the requirements for thermal protection of buildings are proposed. The method of calculating the discounted payback period for insulation costs is presented.

East Java is the province with the second largest industry in Indonesia. Data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia in 2016 showed that approximately 549,750 ton of hazardous waste produced by industry in East Java and about 58% or about 320,499 ton is treated. Currently, treatment of hazardous waste is still conducted outside of East Java Province. Meanwhile, untreated hazardous waste needs to be kept in a suitable place in order not to pollute the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to collect hazardous waste in East Java. The objective of this research is to determine the site of hazardous waste collection location in East Java. The method used to select the location is Centre of Gravity method based on minimal transportation cost. Following the selection of the best location, the warehouse design and risk identification are conducted. The analysis results showed the suitable location is situated at coordinates (-7.34962;112.68251) with total transportation costs of Rp. 170,370,268,038. The storage area was 4.94784 hectares. Based on risk Identification, there were 5 risks: Fire, explosion, reactivity, health problems, and environmental pollution.

Selection of locations for collecting end of life goods is a multi-dimensional problem. In this study, the objective is to propose a hybrid multi-criteria decision model for e-waste collection center location selection problem employing an integrated Pythagorean fuzzy AHP (analytical hierarchy process)-VIKOR (multi-criteria optimization and compromise solution) methodology. A case study from Turkish e-waste recycling industry is conducted in order to verify the success of the proposed methodology. Thirty-nine alternative collection center districts are evaluated and ranked by employing Pythagorean fuzzy VIKOR based on “cost, logistics, environment, socio-culture, and population” and 11 sub-criteria. The study involves 39 e-waste collection location centers, and the model was solved for 50 times for 10 scenarios for each criterion. The results of sensitivity analysis indicate that the evaluation of criteria and determination of their weights have critical effects on the results.

Determination of the basic methodological provisions for the formation of the design service enterprises' entrance groups built-in into the residential buildings. Consideration of design features of the entrance groups of built-in objects in accordance with the hierarchical levels of formation of their architectural environment. The research is based on a systematic approach that allows us to consider the architectural environment of entertaining institutions as hierarchically subordinate to the integrity. Also are used methods of historical, comparative and typological analysis, experimental design. The article comprehensively examines the various factors and conditions that influence on the organization of the architectural environment of the service enterprises' entrance groups located on the first floors of residential buildings. The main stages of designing and the corresponding hierarchical levels of formation of the design of the service objects' entrance groups, are revealed.  The proposed method of designing of service enterprises' entrance groups of built-in into the apartment houses is proposed. The peculiarities of the design of entrance groups in accordance with the revealed hierarchical levels of formation and development of their architectural environment are presented. The given methodological provisions regarding the formation of the design of service enterprises' entrance groups of built-in into the apartment houses will be useful for the current practice of designing, rehabilitating, modernizing and exploiting the built-in service objects and will contribute to solving the problem of aesthetic expressiveness of residential development.

Selection of the appropriate composition desalination units can be done with a variety of method approaches, one of the method is the Analytic Hierarchy Process. In determining the desalination unit with AHP method to consider is setting a goal, an alternative criteria and pairwise comparison. Research for the determination of the exact composition of the desalination unit in order to achieve sustainable drinking water suppy in coastal areas and small islands has been conducted. The results of the study are as follows, the energy demand of 50.83%, operator costs of 26.64%, maintenance costs of 14.13% and chemical requirement 8.4%. For an alternative composition desalination unit of RO 10 m3 / day is the best alternative composition with value of 59.61%, the composition of the next alternative is RO 20 m3/ day of 30.40% and the last alternative of the desalination unit composition is RO 120 m3/ day of 09.99%.Key words : Desalination, Mukti Stage Flash Composition, AHP

The paper assesses the carcinogenic risks from emissions of solid municipal waste landfill for the case when the residential development zone potentially falls within the boundaries of the sanitary protection zone, as well as for the normal situation when the employee of the landfill is on its territory for 8-hour shift.
