Many indexes concerned with measuring the quality of the scientific scholars’ output have appeared with the beginning of the internet due to several reasons such as: the diversity of the internet applications (or web applications), the increase in the digital publishing of open access sources, and the multiplicity of websites. These indexes take the network measurements as an application hub. This study, tries to diagnose the strength and weakness points of the approved indexes. It also suggests new index that combines all the traditional indexes’ characteristics and overcomes their weakness points. This unified index is used to evaluate the scientific outcomes of scientists and scholars. After applying and comparing the unified index, the researcher concluded that the value of the new index was more accurate and objective than the values of other traditional indexes. Moreover, the possibility to overcome some negatives points of the other indexes was shown, as well.

With the beginning of the Internet and the diversity of its applications, And the increase in the digital publishing of open access sources, and the multiplicity of sites, which take the network measurements as an application axis. For this reason, many indicators have appeared, which are concerned with measuring the quality of the scientific scholar output. This study, tries to diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of the approved indexes, and overcome them by designing a new index that combines all indexes characteristics and exceeds the negatives of, some of them as a Standardized index used to evaluate the scientific outcomes of scientists scholar output. After applying and comparing the Standardized index, we reached the value that was more accurate and objective than the benefits of other indexes and the possibility of overcoming some of the negatives accompanying the other indexes.

<p class="ArticleTitle">In recent years, the increasingly innovative and diverse mobile devices have significantly promoted the mobile device-based shopping. What factors influence this kind of shopping? Will consumers purchase things with mobile devices? These are two topics that need to be explored. Through the literature analysis and the empirical research, this study aims to analyze the quality of information, system, service and mobile devices on the mobile device-based shopping platform. Moreover, it studies the attitude of consumers towards mobile device-based shopping, their willingness to adopt the shopping method and the behavioral relationship model in the actual mobile device-based shopping as well as compares the groups of different frequencies of the Internet use in terms of the relationship model.</p>  With the convenient sampling, this study made an investigation among some of those who had experienced shopping on such mobile devices as tablets or smart phones. The 765 retrieved valid copies of questionnaire were divided into three groups—“often”, “average” and “seldom” according to the frequency consumers undertook mobile device-based shopping and were then compared. The results showed that there were significant differences among the three groups in four relationship paths, including: 1) the information quality of the mobile device-based shopping platform has more significant positive influence on consumers’ attitude path of mobile device-based shopping in the “average” group than in the other two; 2) the service quality of the mobile device-based shopping platform has more significant positive influence on consumers’ attitude path of mobile device-based shopping in the “seldom” group than in the other two; 3) the preference for mobile device-based shopping has much significant positive influence on the behavior path of mobile device-based shopping in the “often” group. According to the research results, different groups have different behavior models. These results can serve as reference information in the decision-making of those who establish mobile device-based shopping platforms and manufacture mobile devices.

This study explores the impact of mobility of qualified and experienced engineering and technology lecturers on the quality of engineering and technology education. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from students, lecturers, Heads of Departments and Academic Deans at Chinhoyi University of Technology, Zimbabwe. The findings from this study indicate that the absence of experienced and qualified professionals has a negative effect on the quality of engineering and technology education. The lecturer’s experience is considered a rich legitimate source of quality. Findings also reveal that the use of teaching assistants and part time lecturers as an alternative to experienced professionals, coupled with lack of resources, adversely impacted on the quality of graduates from the institution. Essentially, lectures conducted were characterized by poor instructional delivery, rushing through courses and over burdened lecturers. Scientific research output was significantly low and productive time was being wasted on human resource issues.

For solving the negative impact of the human evolution in earth, water, pollution and quality of feed. A system of aquaponic is proposed to manage gardening and recover up to 90% of water used for plants. Aquaponic is a system that combines two names: aquaculture which is the farming of fish and hydroponic which is the cultivation of plants (off-soil). On the other hand, the possibility of using the phytotron system. The objective of this solution is to collect performance measures, to control the watering conditions of plants (water level, temperature, humidity, ...) With a cloud support and other possibilities offered by the internet of things (IoT). The paper at hand aim to provide a smart solution integrates the phytotron solution in order to control the first part wish is the hydroponic and the second part concerning the aquaculture in order to offer a smart environment for the cycle of fish’s life.

The heterogeneous network environment that Internet provides to real time applications as well as the lack of sufficient QoS (Quality of Service) guarantees, many times forces applications to embody adaptation schemes in order to work efficiently. In addition, any application that transmits data over the Internet should have a friendly behaviour towards the other flows that coexist in today’s Internet and especially towards the TCP flows that comprise the majority of flows. We define as TCP friendly flow, a flow that consumes no more bandwidth than a TCP connection, which is traversing the same path with that flow (Pandhye 1999).

When we call someone over the internet using a service such as Skype or Google talk, we may experience certain undesirable problems. For instance, we may not be able to hear the other person very well, or even worse, the call may be dropped. In order to eliminate these problems, the underlying IP network has to be able to provide quality of service guarantees. Several schemes have been developed that enable the IP network to provide such guarantees. Of these schemes, the multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) and the differentiated services (DiffServ) are the most widely used. In this chapter, some of the salient features of MPLS and DiffServ are reviewed.


An unbiased and reasonable research evaluation should reflect the diversity and impact of research productivity. The evaluation of scientific research is essential to determine its achievement, reputation, growth, and progress of an individual or an institution. In this context, production and quality of scholarly content offer a strong foundation for its rational evaluation. The citations along with the number of scientific publications are predominantly used to evaluate research content. The use of scientometric indicators is of great use in the measurement and evaluation of the scientific research output, but at the same instant, it requires a great carefulness in use.

Luxury management can be considered the management of paradoxes between intangibility and functionality, rationality and emotion, modern technology with traditional craftsmanship, showing that luxury comes from creation, timelessness, emotion, excellence, heritage, and authenticity. This chapter results from two methods, a qualitative analysis, which presents an analysis grid with the most varied characteristics; these are divided into six groups: identification, content, product page, utility, entertainment and complementary relationship, speed and other presences visible on three websites of luxury furniture brands. The other method is the quantitative one, which was a questionnaire with the understanding the perceived quality of the website using the WebQual scale, as well as understanding the purchase intention and the importance of the internet in the purchase decision process.

The complication of the logic of educational web applications raises the issue of the effectiveness of the organization of their implementation. At the same time, efficiency, including pedagogical one, is connected among other factors with the technology of implementation of programs. When using as the main browser program, it is necessary to take into account its features, in particular, one-flow mode of execution of programs (scripts). Implementation of more complex algorithms in web applications delays the response of the application interface to user actions. This creates a discomfort for the user and, as a result, reduces the effectiveness of his work. Expanding the range of devices from which users access the Internet leads to the fact that mobile devices are more and more often used for learning as well. Therefore, another side of the problem is the impact on the quality of connection to the server. It is necessary to ensure the work of the program in case of interruptions in connection or reduce their impact. A solution to the problem may be the implementation of part of the calculations in the background. The article deals with the use of calculations in the background streams of the browser and caching control for educational web applications. Various ways of creating such streams and the peculiarities of their use are analyzed.

Purpose: to analyze the impact of the use of digital technology in judging to correctly identify the winner in judo competitions. Material and methods. The following methods were used during the research: theoretical analysis and generalization of literature sources and data of the Internet, analysis of video recording, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: based on the recordings of 42 fights of the final block of the European Championship and the Ukrainian Junior Judo Championship on video hosting (You Tube), the analysis of the impact of video replays on the referee's decision was conducted to correctly identify the winner in the competition. In 22 bouts of the European Championship and in 24 bouts of the Ukrainian Championship, the referees made decisions that did not require revision or change. In the other 20 fights of the European Championship and in 18 fights of the Ukrainian Championship, video replays were used. A comparison of the average rates of fights in which digital replays were used or not used with the help of digital technologies showed a statistically significant difference in the performance of refereeing at the European Championship and the Ukrainian Judo Championship among juniors (<0,05). Since t (0,051) < tgr (1,98) the analysis of the refereeing of the European Championship and the Ukrainian Junior Judo Championship can be considered statistically significant. As a percentage of the total number of 42 fights, of which 20 fights – 47,6 % of international judges use video replays and 22 fights – 52,3 % of international judges did not use video replays. Analyzing the championship of Ukraine with a total of 42 fights, of which 18 fights – 42,8 % of judges use video replays and 24 fights – 57,1 % of judges did not use video replays. Conclusions. Analysis of existing digital technologies used in judo refereeing has revealed a set of programs that assist in the competition. The use of digital technologies provides an opportunity to improve the quality of refereeing at various ranks of the competition. The percentage of using video views and the percentage without video views at the European Championship and the Ukrainian Championship is almost the same. This speaks to the quality of judging at these events. This is because the refereeing of the final block allows more qualified judges who did not make mistakes during the refereeing or these mistakes were minimal.
