For the purpose of using three different types of painting materials for the inner protection of the transformer vats, their behavior was studied under actual conditions of operation in the transformer (thermal stress in electro-insulating fluid based on the natural ester in contact with copper for electro-technical use and electro-insulating paper). By comparing determination of the content in furans products (HPLC technique) and gases formed (by gas-chromatography) in the electro-insulating fluid (natural ester with high oleic content) thermally aged at 130 C to 1000 hours in closed glass vessels, it have been found that the presence the investigated painting materials lead to a change in the mechanism and kinetics of the thermo-oxidation processes. These changes are supported by oxygen dissolved in oil, what leads to decrease both to gases formation CO2, CO, H2, CH4, C2H4 and C2H6) and furans products (5-HMF, 2-FOL, 2 -FAL and 2-ACF). The painting materials investigated during the heat treatment applied did not suffer any remarkable structural changes affecting their functionality in the electro-insulating fluid based on vegetable esters.

Infrared spectra of the epithelial, the connective, the mucosa, and the malignant tissues of the human colon have been measured as a function of pressure. Infrared spectra of collagen proteins have also been measured and compared with the connective tissue. The infrared spectra of different types of colon tissues exhibit significantly different patterns. With these specific infrared patterns, the tissue types of the colon can be differentiated unambiguously. Many structural changes at the molecular level from normal epithelium to malignant tumor have been derived from the spectral features of these two related tissues. These structural changes in carcinogenesis of the colon are comparable with those in other human cancers. The present results suggest that determination of these infrared spectra may be applied to the rapid identification of normal tissue types of the colon and evaluation of colon cancer.

Knowledge of the mechanism and the kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is essential for tailoring new electrode materials with electrocatalytic activity towards HER. This review paper deals with some problems related to determination of the kinetics of multi-step reaction of HER, especially on porous electrodes. Theoretical background of HER has been briefly presented. The importance of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method for studies of the detailed mechanism and kinetics of HER and some problems in understanding of the interpretationacimpedance results, have been discussed.

Abstract. This article describes a model of structural changes in austenitic chromium-nickel steel during long-term thermal soakings. The time for reaching equilibrium content of Cr23C6 carbide at a temperature of 600 °C is calculated. The calculation results are compared with experimental data on the kinetics of thermal embrittlement of steel at a temperature of 600 °C after thermal holding for up to 15000 hours.

The article describes the properties of increased durability of concrete, concrete products, designs. It is noted that the composition of the concrete mix largely determines the permeability of concrete. In this case, the main indicators of the composition of the mixture are: water-cement ratio, cement consumption, the ratio of aggregates and cement, and coarse and fine aggregates. Consideration of problems of improvement of durability should be two aspects: study on the characteristics of the environment and identify the leading factors of the impact of the environment on the reinforcement and concrete, especially for reinforced concrete structures in General, the study of the mechanism and kinetics of corrosion processes and development on this basis of methods of increasing durability of concrete and reinforced concrete in aggressive environments. It is noted that one of the most important properties of concrete affecting its durability is permeability of concrete. Describes ways to improve the water resistance of concrete, reduce its water absorption. The calculated dependences for determination of properties of concrete.
