The article defines the essence of the concept of “civic engagement of university students” and the process of formation of civic engagement of university students in quarantine conditions. The structure of civic engagement of university students is characterized. Criteria are substantiated and indicators of the formation of civic engagement of university students are defined: incentive criterion (sustainable social motives for achieving socially significant goals, the student’s achievement motive, value attitude to future professional activities); epistemological criterion (knowledge about public organizations and their activities, awareness of knowledge of civic responsibility, the presence of civic consciousness) behavioral (leadership ability, responsibility for own decisions, actions and team actions) creatively developing criterion (the presence of self-knowledge skills, the ability to introspection , self-esteem, self-criticism of the results of one's own socially useful activity). The substantive characteristic of such levels of formation of civic engagement of university students as: insufficient, initial, sufficient, high is given. The use of such digital tools is shown, which allows to form effectively the civic engagement of university students in quarantine conditions: a) the creation of an author's blog (to display information about: the national identity of the Ukrainian people (history, traditions, language, culture, etc.), planned for the future and already organized events by the student self-government were held, video and photo reports of the events) b) use of Google applications (Google meet - for conferences, meetings, online consultations; Google Drive, Google forms - for online questionnaires with the aim of : predicting the relevance of the event, it is planned, determining the effectiveness of the activities, identifying the psychological atmosphere in the team, identifying the socio-psychological characteristics of students, student awareness; Google photos; Google calendar; Google video). The results of an experimental study on the formation of civic engagement of university students, carried out during 2019 at V.O. Sukhomlynskyi Mykolaiv National University, are presented, which proves the practical importance of using such digital tools in quarantine conditions.

The paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of tax initiatives on the introduction of an excise tax on carbonated sweet drinks and red meat products, a fee for the use of plastic utensils and a new special tax regime for self-employed. Based on the complexity and diversity of the issues and in order to ensure the reliability of the conclusions and proposals the paper analyzes the problem in various aspects using an interdisciplinary approach: 1) in the context of topical problems of social development; 2) from the point of view of solving systemic problems of taxation in the Russian Federation and improving its legal regulation; 3) for compliance with the principles of taxation and the economic and legal essence of taxes and fees; 4) in the light of ensuring budget profitability and reducing financial costs. When considering the development of effective mechanisms of legalization, the authors proceeded from the need to ensure the unconditional constitutional obligation to pay taxes and fees, the mandatory application of penalties against defaulters, the inadmissibility of replacing the principle of obligation with the principle of voluntariness: the performance of the constitutional duty cannot be made exclusively dependent on civic consciousness and social responsibility, on the availability of various preferences. The authors are convinced that when applying incentive mechanisms, it is necessary to distinguish between non-payers and payers, without allowing the latter to be put in a worse position. The study resultes in the conclusion on the strengthening of legal regulation in terms of ensuring the mandatory tax liability, about the increase of the responsibility of legislators in the implementation of the principles of taxation in order to avoid the adoption of legal norms that contradict them.

AbstractSome interesting methods of popularizing astronomy in various countries were reviewed, and may be divided into two types: active and passive methods. Active methods include: 1.Astronomy in the countryside. Astronomical camps for both children and grownups, who normally live in towns, to learn basic astronomical facts. (Italy)2.Astro-puppets. Visitors to an observatory are greeted by puppets (Copernicus, Galileo, etc.) who not only give talks, but also converse with the audience. (Argentina)3.Hand-operated devices. A simple orrery showing the movement of the Earth, and other devices that viewers operate for themselves. (India)4.Graphical calendars. Several popular observatories collaborate to produce a yearly calendar showing planetary rising and setting times, etc. (Czechoslovakia)5.Amateur clubs. High-school and university students became so interested in astronomy that they formed their own group and now produce a magazine and carry out observing, etc. in a country where there is no professional astronomical institution. (Paraguay)6.An interdisciplinary approach. Various meetings and workshops are arranged to bring together astronomy, physics, biology, geology, etc., leading to a better understanding of modern science. (Japan)7.Astronomical competitions. Everything from children’s drawings to special tests and papers, sometimes connected with special events. Also awards for the best work of popularization in a given year. (Worldwide)Passive methods are far more traditional, and include planetarium shows, including special ones for pilgrims (India); special exhibitions; radio and television programmes; public lectures; popular magazines usually edited for special groups of readers. Finally, what about humorous astronomical stories or pictures, is that active or passive?

We examined the relationships among gender, coping, and mental health in terms of probabilities. We selected a sample of university students (N = 131) aged between 18 and 32 years, and used the GHQ-28 and COPE instruments for analysis. The Bayesian network model that we constructed showed higher probabilities of symptoms of mental health problems for emotion-focused coping than for problem-focused coping. No differences were found regarding gender. This suggests that the use of problem-focused coping is more recommendable for both male and female university students, and it may also provide some benefits in terms of treatment of symptoms of mental health problems. However, to further verify our findings more research is necessary.

This work describes an experience conducted by a group of professors from different departments at the University of Girona (Catalonia, Spain) which arose from the need for interdisciplinary work in university classrooms in order to promote competences relevant to the professional sector. As part of this experience, students from different degree programs were challenged to work collaboratively and in an interdisciplinary manner on a project related to the management of a school cafeteria designed for a real educational center. The work promoted the development of competences that are otherwise difficult to attain through activities that lack an interdisciplinary approach, which are key in today's professional world, such as multi-professional teamwork. Based on this experience, the feasibility of students from different areas of study carrying out a final degree project (FDP) that meets real, contextualized needs and requires the contribution of knowledge from different disciplines is considered.

Abstract At The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) we treat many children requiring tracheostomy tube placement. With potential for a tracheostomy tube to be in place for an extended period of time, these children may be at risk for long-term disruption to normal speech development. As such, speaking valves that restore more normal phonation are often key tools in the effort to restore speech and promote more typical language development in this population. However, successful use of speaking valves is frequently more challenging with infant and pediatric patients than with adult patients. The purpose of this article is to review background information related to speaking valves, the indications for one-way valve use, criteria for candidacy, and the benefits of using speaking valves in the pediatric population. This review will emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration from the perspectives of speech-language pathology and respiratory therapy. Along with the background information, we will present current practices and a case study to illustrate a safe and systematic approach to speaking valve implementation based upon our experiences.
