scholarly journals Modeling and Networked Control of Two-rigid link Robot Arm

A networked control system (NCS) is one in which controller(s), actuator(s),and sensor(s)exchange command signals and data through a limited-bandwidth communication network that may be used by other applications, devices, and control systems. Compared to classical wired controlled systems, NCSs possess many advantages. In this paper, we propose the modeling and networked control of two-rigid link robot arm. To deal with the time delays that may occur during communication between the components of the system through the network, a model of the system was first determined, and second, PID controllers were designed based on the obtained model and using the stability region boundary locus technique. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach, numerical simulations were conducted using TrueTime, Simscape, SimMechanics, and Simulink with the MATLAB environment

The stability problem of networked control system (NCS) with cyberattacks and processing delay is considered under an event-triggered scheme. An improved distributed event-triggered mechanism is proposed, which optimizes the performance of system dynamics and decreases the network transmission load simultaneously. By means of Bessel–Legendre inequality method and constructing an active Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, a series of larger upper bounds of delay are obtained corresponding to the order of N. It is worth mentioning that the upper bound increases with N, which means that the conservatism of the stability criterion lowers. Finally, a distributed event-triggered controller is designed. The validity of the results is verified by numerical examples.

This paper considers the stability andH∞control problem of networked control systems with time delay. Taking into account the influence of network with delay, unknown input disturbance, and uncertainties of the system modeling, meanwhile we establish a precise, closed-loop model for networked control systems with time delay. By selecting a proper Lyapunov-Krasovskii function and using Lyapunov theorem, a sufficient condition for stability of the system in the form of LMI is demonstrated, corresponding controller parameters are acquired, and the convergence of the control algorithm is proved. The simulation example shows that the construction of the network robust control system with time delay indeed improves the stability performance of the system, which indicates the effectiveness of the design.

It is well known that stability of information transmission is very important. In this paper, we study the stability of Networked control systems. Networked control problem(NCSs) have received plentiful attention in recent two decades. A lot of researcher study the stability for NCSs. In this paper, we consider a class of interval linear system’s networked control problem with time delays and packet dropout. A stability result is obtained with the discrete-time method which is based on the Information Science.

For the networked control system with limited bandwidth and flexible workload, a dynamic intelligent feedback scheduling strategy is proposed. Firstly, a monitor is used to acquire the current available network bandwidth. Then, the new available bandwidth in the next interval is predicted by using LS_SVM approach. At the same time, the dynamic performance indices of all control loops are obtained with a two-dimensional fuzzy logic modulator. Finally, the predicted network bandwidth is dynamically allocated by the bandwidth manager and the priority allocator in terms of the loops' dynamic performance indices. Simulation results show that the sampling periods and priorities of control loops are adjusted timely according to the network workload condition and the dynamic performance of control loops, which make the system running in the optimal state all the time.

Networked Control System (NCS) is a method composed of physically shared smart devices that can observe the surroundings, work on it, and converse with one another by means of a communication system to attain a widespread purpose. Characteristic examples that fall into this section are Wireless Sensors and Actuators Networks (WSANs) for ecological analyzing and checking, multi-vehicle systems for composed investigation, camera systems for observation, multicamera facilitated movement catch, shrewd lattices for vitality circulation and the executives, and so forth. NCSs changes from increasingly customary control systems as a result of their interdisciplinary which needs the combination of control hypothesis, correspondences, software engineering and programming designing. Plenty of communication modes are available from telephone lines, cell phone networks, satellite networks and most widely used is internet. The choice of network depends upon the application to be served. Internet is the most suitable and inexpensive choice for many applications where the plant and the controller are far from each other. The troubles present in the structure of control systems that are solid to correspondence parameters like transfer speed, arbitrary deferral and packet loss, to computational parameters in light of the tremendous amount of information to be handled or to the mutual idea of the detecting and control to ongoing execution on limited resources and due to the unpredictability to the huge number of untrustworthy agent present. With the limited measure of data transmission accessible, it is improved to use it ideally and proficiently. This further raises the requirement for need choices issue for controlling a series of actuators for a progression of tasks. The proposed methodology deals broadly made in two distinct directions. The first direction aims at a control theoretical analysis while considering the network as a constant parameter like special controllers and altering the sampling rate. The second direction aims the design of new communication network infrastructures, algorithms or protocols like designing static and dynamic message scheduling algorithms. This method combines both directions and depends on the well- recognized results in both communication networks and control theory

Networked control system is a closed loop system in which information or data travel through the communication network. The presence of communication network will increase time delay and information losses. Due to these losses and delay the performance of the system decreases. This paper represents an analysis to find the stability of the networked control system with the varying time hindrances present in the network. In this research, it has been assumed that the delay in time is less than the sampling period. The stability conditions for NCS have been procured with the use of the Lyapunov function approach and has been described in terms of LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality). This examination confirm the adequate state of stability through MATLAB simulation and the numerical case demonstrates the outcome.

The stability guarantee of wireless networked control systems is still challenging due to the complex interaction among the layers and the vulnerability to network faults, such as link and node failures. In this paper, we propose a robust wireless sensor and actuator network (R-WSAN) to maintain the control stability of multiple plants over the spatial-temporal changes of wireless networks. The proposed joint design protocol combines the distributed controller of control systems and the clustering, resource scheduling, and control task sharing scheme of wireless networks over a hierarchical cluster-based network. In particular, R-WSAN decouples the tasks from the inherently unreliable nodes and allows control tasks to share between nodes of wireless networks. Our simulations demonstrate that R-WSAN provides the enhanced resilience to the network faults for sensing and actuation without significantly disrupting the control performance.

This note focuses on the stability and stabilization problem of nonlinear networked control system with time delay. To alleviate the burden of transformation channel and shorten the dynamic process simultaneously, an improved event-triggered scheme is proposed. This paper employs an improved time delay method to enhance the performance and reduce the delay upper bound conservatism. Less conservative stability criteria related to the order N are derived by establishing an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional manufactured for the use of Bessel-Legendre inequality. In addition, an event-triggered controller is designed for nonlinear networked control system with time delay. At last, numerical examples are proposed to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

In this paper, control problem of networked control system with multi-rate input sampling is considered. By lifting technique, the system is transformed into a single-rate sampling system. Channel transmission strategies for both output and input channel are presented in view of the limited communication capacity. Such strategies lead to a switched system configuration. Then, switched control strategy is implemented and control algorithm that guarantees the stability of the systems is presented.
