SUMMARY Lower fuel consumption with better driving performance, more comfort and driving safety without additional costs as well as the change to electromobility and autonomous driving: All these challenges keep the automotive industry constantly on the move. In addition to the technical implementation, the changes have an impact on generated noise and vibrations and thus on the comfort and well-being of all vehicle occupants. Vehicle manufacturers are therefore faced with several conflicting goals. This calls for new approaches in automotive vibration control technology in order to arrive comfortably, relaxed and safely in the electrified and autonomous future.

Abstract With older age, people experience declines in resources and face new challenges. The goal of this study was to understand how resource decline affects the oldest olds’ well-being, but also to learn who they trust and where they go for advice in areas such as health, finances, and technology. This sample of 30 participants between the ages of 85 and 95 was generally resource-rich, scoring highest on self-esteem and optimism and lowest on mastery. Self-esteem and optimism correlated with financial resources, indicating a significant role of finances in this rather wealthy sample. Well-being was predicted by self-esteem and physical health. Presumably, their high levels of self-esteem compensate for the loss of other resources among the oldest old. The majority of lifestyle leaders trust in other people, and while friends and family are very important sources of advice, searching online was equally often mentioned as a source when looking for advice.

Sensor technology and computer control technology are applied to automobile fuel consumption testing in the automobile industry developed countries, the function and precision of the test are developing and perfecting continually. In our country, automobile fuel consumption test mainly applies ordinary consumption test devices, that test item are single-chip, which is applied for testing the flow of time. The display of method mainly based on the pointer instrument and partially on circuit control, so the maintenance and reliability of the test does not excellent. We do research and develop the intelligent one which is called quick testing instrument for automobile fuel consumption, which applies sensor technology, computer control technology and advanced instrument technology, that can be applied for the testing for automobile fuel consumption and data show. It can improve the measurement precision of automobile fuel consumption and degree of automation, with the down cost as high cost-effective consequences. The test instrument can be used for testing instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption and accumulative total consumption of gasoline engine and diesel engine.

A review of research on the vibration control technology inspiration from the biological vibration damping mechanisms is described. First the important concept and background of the bionic vibration damping technology are briefly introduced. Then the basic theories and its applications in the engineering fields are elaborated from three aspects: vibration damping mechanisms of the creatures own the good ability to withstand the ambient vibrations, mechanical models of biological prototypes and its application progress in the practical occasions.

5G is a new universal wireless standard, a new form of mobile network engineered to bring everyone and everything virtually together. 5G is not only for mobile phones, but it is also the foundation for virtual reality (VR), the internet of things (IoT), and autonomous driving, connecting many electronic devices to the internet. Having good healthcare is very important as it affects all parts of human life and social well-being. Moreover, it is crucial to have a great healthcare system if we want economic growth, workforce productivity, and society to advance. Despite all the hard work done by scientists and medical professionals, today's healthcare is mainly inefficient, and a significant overhaul is required. This chapter discusses the primary advantages, including the 5G's main features in healthcare and their limitations and probable solutions and applications to the latest scenario.

Abstract Having systems that can adapt themselves in case of faults or changing environmental conditions is of growing interest for industry and especially for the automotive industry considering autonomous driving. In autonomous driving, it is vital to have a system that is able to cope with faults in order to enable the system to reach a safe state. In this paper, we present an adaptive control method that can be used for this purpose. The method selects alternative actions so that given goal states can be reached, providing the availability of a certain degree of redundancy. The action selection is based on weight models that are adapted over time, capturing the success rate of certain actions. Besides the method, we present a Java implementation and its validation based on two case studies motivated by the requirements of the autonomous driving domain. We show that the presented approach is applicable both in case of environmental changes but also in case of faults occurring during operation. In the latter case, the methods provide an adaptive behavior very much close to the optimal selection.
