The family Megophryidae is one of the most poorly known groups of amphibians in Son La Province, Vietnam. In the herpetofaunal list of Vietnam in 2009 only two species of megophryids were recorded from this province and recent studies have documented five additional species of Megophryidae from Son La Province. Based on recent field work in northern Vietnam, we report six new provincial records of the family Megophryidae from Son La Province, namely Leptobrachium ailaonicum, Leptobrachella sungi, Megophrys feae, M. jingdongensis, M. microstoma and M. parva. In addition, morphological data were provided for each species, based on newly collected specimens. Our findings bring the species number of the family Megophryidae to 13 in Son La Province.

Recent collecting in northern Vietnam yielded specimens of several new leafhopper species, two of which represent new monotypic genera, and several additional species not previously recorded from Vietnam. The two new genera (Hochiminus n. gen. and Pseudocestius n. gen.) and 15 new species (Abrus digitatus n. sp., Aeternus ninhbinhensis n. sp., Drabescoides bispinosa n. sp., Tenompoella vietnamensis n. sp., Uzelina (Uzelina) vietnamensis sp. n., Hochiminhus tamdaoensis n. sp., Pseudocestius cucphuongensis n. sp., Phlogothamnus pseudorugosus n. sp., Scaphoidella albopunctata n. sp., Bundera onukiiformis n. sp., Carinata arcuata n. sp., Traiguma hamocauda n. sp., Signoretia tamdaoensis n. sp., Amrasca (Quartasca) curvata n. sp., Amrasca (Quartasca) excavata n. sp.) are described and illustrated and comparative notes are provided. An additional 28 species representing 20 genera are newly recorded from Vietnam. Most of the latter were previously recorded only from southern China. The enigmatic species, Tardrabassus pakneunensis Dai & Dietrich, previously known from two males collected in Laos in 1918, is newly recorded from Vietnam based on recently collected female specimens. The ovipositor structure of the female confirms placement of Tardrabassus in Iassinae. The female pregenital sternite and ovipositor of Hamulotettix ungulatus Dai & Zhang are also illustrated for the first time. A new synonymy is also proposed: Ujna consors Distant, 1908 equals Mileewa puerana Yang & Meng, 2010, n. syn.

The bushfrog genus Gracixalus Delorme, Dubois, Grosjean & Ohler, 2005 is found in southern and south-western China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. It is presently comprised of 17 species. In Thailand, only two species have been recorded, namely G. carinensis (Boulenger) and G. seesom (Massui, Khonsue, Panha & Eto). The latter of these two species is currently known to be endemic to the country. Based on recent field work conducted in 2019 in Doi Phu Kha National Park, Nan Province of northern Thailand, we are reporting two new records of the genus Gracixalus, G. quangi and G. yunnanensis, from Thailand, based on morphological and molecular evidence. In addition, this is the first study to report on the identification of a female specimen of G. yunnanensis. Furthermore, morphological data and natural history notes of the aforementioned species in Thailand have been provided, along with updated locations for the distribution of both species.

Mauritius is one of the three main islands constituting Mascareignes Archipelago, with La Réunion and Rodrigues. So far, fourteen mite species of the family Phytoseiidae had been reported from this island. We report in this paper the results of a survey conducted at the end of 2018 in Mauritius Island, in which 12 additional species were firstly recorded.

Terebellomorph polychaetes are reported from hydrothermal vents and cold seeps collected in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Two new species of Terebellidae,Neoamphitrite hydrothermalissp. nov. andStreblosoma kaiasp. nov., are described from hydrothermal vents of the western Pacific. These are the first terebellid species described from hydrothermal vents. New records from hydrothermal vents and cold seeps and new geographical records are presented for nine additional species belonging to Ampharetidae, Alvinellidae, Terebellidae and Trichobranchidae. A synoptic table with diagnostic characters for all species of the genusStreblosomaSars, 1872 is provided. Keys for all terebellomorph species currently known from hydrothermal vents and cold seeps, respectively, are included. Additionally the new combinationNeoamphitrite pachyderma(Hutchings & Glasby, 1988) comb. nov. is proposed.

Most Japanese records and descriptions of the family Lumbriculidae are from the work of H. Yamaguchi, who described 6 endemic species and one genus, in addition to reporting the cosmopolitan Lumbriculus variegatus (Müller, 1774). Yamaguchi's work focused largely on the northern island of Hokkaido; since then, only one new Japanese lumbriculid genus and species has been described, also from Hokkaido. Recent collections from Honshu Island include several species not recorded in earlier literature, and here we report 4 new species of Lumbriculidae, plus a range extension of the Korean Lamprortus orientalis Rodriguez, 1994. Of the new species, only Styloscolex (Styloscolex) tazawaensis can be confidently assigned to an accepted genus using current morphological diagnoses. Styloscolex (Neoscolex) tatsukoae n. sp. is provisionally assigned to that Asian genus and subgenus based on the prosoporous male duct, spermathecae in the preatrial segment, and penial sheath—despite differing from congeners in having a single, median atrium in X, and single spermatheca in IX. Two additional species are here attributed to a new genus, Honshudrilus, which is distinguished by a combination of characters: spermathecae 2 or more segments anterior to the male pores, non-functional anterior male ducts (with loss of anterior testes), elongate-petiolate atria, penes formed by extruding the atrial duct lining, and spermathecal ducts with vestibules.

We herein report three new provincial records of the family Rhacophoridae from northeastern Vietnam: Rhacophorus orlovi from Ha Giang province, and Theloderma rhododiscus and Zhangixalus puerensis from Cao Bang province. Additional morphological data and natural history of the aforementioned species are also provided based on newly collected specimens.

Abstract Most freshwater species of Cymothoidae are distributed in South America. They have mainly been recorded in the eastern and western regions of the Amazon River basin. However, in this ecosystem, the biodiversity of this group may be greater if the entire Amazon basin is considered. In this regard, the aim of the present study was to provide an updated list of isopod species of the family Cymothoidae that are found in fish in the Brazilian Amazon region and to report on new fish host occurrences and expanded geographical distributions for cymothoid isopods that parasitize fish in the southwestern Brazilian Amazon region. The parasites found in fish specimens were collected, fixed and identified later. We found eight species of Cymothoidae parasitizing different host fish species in the southwestern Amazon region. However, we found 14 species of Cymothoidae throughout the Brazilian Amazon region. Three additional species are thus reported here, which increases the number of species of Cymothoidae in this region to 17. These additional species are also new records for Brazil. Therefore, this study has contribute to expand the knowledge about the distribution and diversity of Cymothoidae in the Amazon basin.

An account on 35 species in the family Vespidae (subfamilies Masarinae, Eumeninae s. str., and Raphiglossinae) is presented. Genera Jugurtia de Saussure, 1854, Quartinia André, 1884, Brachypipona Gusenleitner, 1967, and Cyrtolabulus van der Vecht, 1969, as well as 17 species and one subspecies are new to Azerbaijan. Three additional species are new to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic; the records of nine species confirm previous doubtful reports from the territory of the autonomy. One species is excluded from the fauna of Azerbaijan. New synonymies are proposed: Antepipona orbitalis (Herrich-Schäffer, 1839) = A. orbitalis ballioni (Morawitz, 1867), syn. nov.; A. varentzowi (Morawitz, 1895) = A. laevigata (Blüthgen, 1951), syn. nov.; Euodynerus disconotatus (Lichtenstein, 1884) = E. disconotatus sulfuripes (Morawitz, 1885), syn. nov. = E. disconotatus laniensis Giordani Soika, 1979, syn. nov.; E. semisaecularis (von Dalla Torre, 1889) = E. semisaecularis macedonicus (Blüthgen, 1951), syn. nov.; Gymnomerus laevipes (Shuckard, 1837) = G. laevipes scandinavus (de Saussure, 1856), syn. nov.; Odynerus albopictus de Saussure, 1856 = O. albopictus calcaratus (Morawitz, 1885), syn. nov. = O. albopictus kazakhstanicus Kurzenko, 1977, syn. nov. Hitherto unknown males of Brachyodynerus kusdasi Gusenleitner, 1967 and Brachypipona orientalis Gusenleitner, 2004 are described. The number of species of solitary Vespidae known from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan is increased to 91, with one additional subspecies which requires a revision. A preliminary list of these wasps of the whole Azerbaijan is presented; it contains 107 identified species and one additional subspecies.

We report in this paper the results of a brief survey recently conducted on Mauritius Island, in which four additional species were found, namely Paraphytoseius orientalis, Phytoseiulus persimilis, Scapulaseius reptans and Typhlodromips culmulus.

Three rare species of discomycetes in the family Hyaloscyphaceae are reported from Central Russia (Oryol and Bryansk Regions). Proliferodiscus tricolor is recorded for the first time in Russia. Comments are made on Aeruginoscyphus sericeus and Eriopezia caesia previously reported only from Moscow Region and North Caucasus respectively.
