This study aims to examine factors affecting the use of e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This survey study utilized a quantitative approach to understand the relationship variables by using SEM-PLS. An online questionnaire was distributed to collect information from respondents. A total of 250 questionnaires were gathered and 210 responses can be used for further analysis. The findings indicate that the students’ intention in using e-learning was determined by several variables, including perceived enjoyment, students experience, computer anxiety, and perceived self-efficacy. These findings also confirm that both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness can explain the students’ intention in utilizing e-learning. The results provide an implication toward the importance of understanding factors of adoption of e-learning and how students can perceive e-learning as the response of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A new paradigm emerged in the field of education along with the development of increasingly advanced technology, namely the emergence of an electronic learning system known as e-learning. One of the e-learning media that is currently popular in Indonesia is Ruangguru online learning application that can be accessed through smartphone. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence student’s acceptance of Ruangguru application using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) method. The 5 (five) constructs of the TAM research model were used, namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude Toward Using, Actual System Use, and Behavioral Intention of Use. The data collection used is an online questionnaire with purposive sampling technique. The results show that Attitude Towards Using did not have a significant effect on Behavioral Intention of Use, meaning that the students’ attitude towards using of did not affect students' intentions in using Ruangguru application. At the same time, the relationship of Perceived Ease of Use to Perceived Usefulness is the most significant influence where the ease in using Ruangguru application makes users feel that Ruangguru application is useful.

This paper examined the effect of theoretical and institutional factors that influenced the adoption of e-learning in Universities in Ghana. The study sought to improve understanding of the motivational factors behind the adoption of e-learning systems. This study extended the original Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to include institutional factors. A sample of 600 lecturers was drawn from both private and public universities in Ghana. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between e-learning and the theoretical factors as well as the relationship between e-learning adoption and institutional factors. Linear regression analysis was used to determine whether the theoretical factors predict e-learning adoption. The study revealed that e-learning was positively correlated to all the theoretical factors discussed. It was observed that significant relationship existed between Perceived Usefulness (PU) and e-learning, while the weakest relationship existed between e-learning and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU). The research concluded that a lecturer’s adoption of e-learning depended on PEOU as well as PU. However, a lecturer’s adoption of e-learning was more dependent on a lecturer’s PU, that is, the degree to which the lecturer believed that using a particular system would enhance his or her job performance.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors affecting mobile banking adoption among young Indian consumers. Design/methodology/approach The authors use a cross-sectional survey research design to empirically examine the factors affecting mobile banking adoption among young Indian consumers. The study sample consists of 269 respondents aged between 23 and 30 years from India. Findings The findings of the study suggest that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived credibility (PC) and structural assurance (SA) are strong determinants of user satisfaction (US) and behavioral intention (BI) to use the mobile banking service. US was found to partially mediate the relationship between PU, PEU, PC and SA and BI to use the service. Perceived risk was found to be statistically insignificant in terms of its relationship with BI to use the service. Research limitations/implications The results of this study provide good evidence for banks to further revamp their work practices in the area of mobile banking to enhance the overall penetration of mobile banking in India. Originality/value The study identifies factors influencing mobile banking adoption among young Indian consumers. Furthermore, this study suggests that US partially mediates the relationship between factor influencing mobile banking adoption and BI.

The aim of the study was to investigate Jordanian lecturers' attitudes towards the adoption of e-learning system. A number of hypotheses were formulated for this purpose.
There are several reasons why most of the universities implement E-learning. The extent of E-learning programs is being offered by the higher educational institutes in the UAE are evidently expanding. However, very few studies have been carried out to validate the process of how E-learning is being accepted and employed by university students. The study involved a sample of 365 university students. To describe the acceptance process, the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method was used. On the basis of the technology acceptance model (TAM), the standard structural model that involved E-learning Computer Self-Efficacy, Social Influence, Enjoyment, System Interactivity, Computer Anxiety, Technical support, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude, and Behavioral Intention to Use e-learning, was developed. The findings showed that TAM served as a suitable theoretical tool to comprehend the acceptance of e-learning by users. The most critical construct to explain the causal process employed in the model was E-learning Computer Self-Efficacy, Social Influence, Enjoyment, System Interactivity, Computer Anxiety, Technical support, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude, followed by Behavioral Intention to Use e-learning. Practical implications are offered by the outcomes for decision makers, professionals and developers in how effective E-learning systems can be implemented properly.

In models to study technology acceptance, the empirically validated path from perceived ease of use (PEOU) to perceived usefulness (PU) is usually rationalized by the argument that the less effort it is required to use a technology, the more useful the technology is. This argument is rather generic to fully account for the relationship between PEOU and PU. In this study we examine the effects of the common antecedents of PEOU and PU on their relationship. We first extensively reviewed the literature to identify the common antecedents of PEOU and PU. We then conducted a survey of users’ acceptance of some common e-learning forums such as ICQ, WebCT, and MSN. Based on variance analysis we found that user-interface design (UID) explains 43% of the relationship between PEOU and PU, and that learners consider UID very important in deciding whether to accept an e-learning forum for their learning and communication. This chapter contributes to research by identifying the factors that account for the relationship between PEOU and PU, and provides e-learning developers with managerial insights on how to leverage UID for business success.

AbstractThe purpose of this article is to present a study that considered the factors that university students have in the real use of e-learning systems to promote self-directed and collaborative learning in the context of their university courses. Google classroom can work in unidirectional process as it can serve the teachers’ strategies and styles on one hand and students’ perception, understanding, and effective participation in different classroom skills on the other hand. The ac-ceptance of Google classroom is affected by different factors. Some of them are still not clearly specified and discussed in previous research; therefore, they need further investigation. Based on the previous assumption, this study is an attempt to examine the factors that affect the students’ acceptance of Google classroom at Al Buraimi University College (BUC) in Oman. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was adopted to formulate the hypotheses of the current study. The data was collected through an online questionnaire with 337 respondents. The Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) approach was used to assess both the measurement and structural models. The results of the study prove that both the perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU) positively influence the behavioral intention, which in turn influence the actual usage of Google classrooms. This study helps the decision makers of the higher educational institutions to have a better understanding of the effectiveness of us-ing Google classroom by their students. It is assumed that it helps in measuring the level of students’ acceptance to the previously mentioned technology.

E-learning is a method of delivering knowledge using information technology and electronic media for the remote users. The advantages of e-learning method can be fully achieved with the postgraduate studies as majority of the postgraduate students are engaged in learning while they are working and also geographically dispersed due to the family and work life thus physically appearing for the lecture sessions are difficult to them. This paper attempts to develop a framework to measure the postgraduate students’ perceived technology acceptance by developing a modified version of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which replaces perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use in the original model of TAM with relative advantage and complexity and incorporate other variables of trialability, observability, compatibility, psychological wellbeing and social influence of the students. The developed model is validated using 30 postgraduate students from Sri Lanka and thus this model can be used in future researchers to measure the perceived e-learning acceptance of postgraduate students.
