Nowadays, the concept of brand community is tied with media. So, the new concept of social media based brand community without constraint of geography is built. In this chapter, we investigate the effects of social media based brand community on elements of the customer centric model, brand loyalty and brand equity through its antecedents (i.e., brand loyalty, brand trust, perceived quality, brand awareness/ association). An online survey with 170 users of brand community of Cinere Company on Facebook was conducted and path analysis technique was applied for data analysis. The results show that brand community of Cinere on social media has positive effects on all elements of the customer centric model. customer/ other customer and customer/ brand relationships have positive effects on brand loyalty with mediating role of brand trust; and loyalty, perceived quality, brand awareness/association have positive effects on brand equity. Interestingly, brand trust contributes only indirectly to brand equity. Finally, implications for practice and future research opportunities are discussed.

This study examines consumer-based brand equity of Cap Kaki Tiga-label branding and relative significance of brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand association on brand loyalty. As additional, this study aims to test the role of brand loyalty as a mediator on the relationship of its predictors on brand equity. A survey instrument was developed, scale measures were pretested, and the final survey was administered directly to 210 respondents. Based on Aaker’s conceptual framework, a structural equation model (SEM) was designed to analyse the proposed relationships. A causal order between brand equity dimensions was established. The results suggest that the positive effects of brand awareness, perceived quality and brand association on brand loyalty, and overall brand equity are mediated by brand loyalty. Marketing managers should focus on brand loyalty in order to increase overall brand equity, and should give special attention to brand awareness, since it is the factor with the strongest impact on brand loyalty.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate social media communication and its impact on customer-based brand equity. Compare two social media communication tools that are firm created content and user generated content. A total of 114 data sets developed through a standard online survey to investigate the impact of firm created content and user-generated content evaluation in social media on brand awareness / association, perceived quality and brand loyalty to the cosmetics industry in Indonesia. A mini survey was conducted to find out the types of cosmetic brands that do not perform ad campaigns in traditional media such as television to see clearly the influence of brand communication in social media against brand awareness and association. The author applies Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques to investigate the effect of communication on social media on customer-based brand equity. The findings of this study indicate that evaluation of firm created content has a positive and significant impact on brand association / awareness, perceived quality and brand loyalty. Meanwhile, evaluation of user-generated content has significant effect only on brand awareness / association and perceived quality. In the dimensions of customer-based brand equity, only perceived quality is significantly influenced by brand awareness / association. This research is relevant for marketers for the development of corporate strategy, especially in the cosmetics industry that uses social media as a medium of communication to customers.  Keywords : Marketing, Firm created content, User generated content, Customer based brand equity, SEM

This research presents the model regarding core factors of social media marketing effect on brand loyalty. The conceptual model was defined based on the five hypotheses. It was conducted a reliability analysis based on the internal consistency of measurements, using Cronbach Alpha and composite reliability coefficients. The model shows that the characteristics of social media marketing communications have a direct effect on brand trust and brand affect. It also demonstrates that brand trust has a direct effect on brand affect and on brand loyalty. Brand affect has also a direct effect on brand loyalty. The research demonstrated that social media marketing communication has the capacity to influence brand trust and brand affect, the two main determinants of brand loyalty. The model shows that the characteristics of social media marketing communications have a direct effect on brand trust and brand affect. It also demonstrates that brand trust has a direct effect on brand affect and on brand loyalty. Brand affect has also a direct effect on brand loyalty. Therefore, all five research hypotheses were validated. The implications for marketing theory and practice are discussed, and avenues for future research are proposed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the inter-relationship of dimensions for consumer-based brand equity and brand loyalty with customer satisfaction as a mediator for oral care segment with special reference to Delhi and connecting areas. Design/methodology/approach For achieving the objective of this study, the theoretical model was tested through structural equation modelling. Research scales from the literature were modified for suitability. Data were collected from 250 respondents. Findings The results indicate that for the oral care segment, customer satisfaction is significantly related to the perceived quality, brand trust, perceived value of cost and lifestyle congruence. Moreover, customer satisfaction partially mediates the relationship of perceived quality and perceived value of cost with brand loyalty, whereas it fully mediates the relationship of lifestyle congruence and brand trust with brand loyalty. Thus, even for low-involvement products, consumer purchases are based on the attributes of the brand rather than being merely habitual. Originality/value The literature supports the direct influence of brand equity on brand loyalty. However, no other study has investigated the mediating role of customer satisfaction on the relationship between brand equity and brand loyalty for low-involvement products.
