While many existing Agile product development methodologies like SCRUM, Extreme Programming (XP), Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), Feature Driven Development (FDD) etc. cover aspects related to developing & delivering a product solution, they are not meant to provide an end to end framework for an organization to transition / embrace and adopt agile way of software development. For an organization's agile journey to be successful we should consider several organizational elements like how to do a business case for agile, how to build agile leadership qualities for staff at all levels (especially Managers), how to setup & govern an agile organization, how to assess an agile organization etc.

Poverty is one continuing social issue which is hard to solve. Dealing with this problem, Islam has already had the alternative solution that is tithe (Zakat). Zakat is implemented to decrease economy imbalanced appeared in the society. While in fact, not all the Moslem pay Zakat. There are five factors as the reason why Moslem didn’t do that. First, some Muzakki wants to deliver his zakat directly.Seconde, not all Muzakki know how much Zakat must be paid. The other factors are Limited information about Mustahik home, limited time that Muzakki have to deliver his Zakat directly and the easiness to report Mustahik data. Dealing with those factors, it is required to have an information system which can make Muzakki meets Mustahik. In this research, information system application used Extreme Programming (XP) development method. XP method is required to program a system which will be made by accomodating the users’ needs and expectations.

Manufacturing Execution System (MES) links plan management and workshop control in an enterprise, which is an integrative management and control system of workshop production oriented to manufacturing process. To overcome the difficulties of traditional software development method, development of MES based on component is adopted to prompt development efficiency and performance of MES, which can be more reconstructing, reuse, expansion and integration, and MES domain analysis driven by ontology is investigated in detail. MES domain analysis driven by ontology is feasible and efficient through developing a pharmaceutics MES which applied in a pharmaceutics manufacturing factory.

Abstract It is well-known that so-called Concurrent Engineering is a desirable alternative to the largely sequential methods which tend to dominate most product development methods. However, the proper implementation of a concurrent engineering method is still relatively rare. In order to facilitate the development of a reliable concurrent engineering product development method, we start with a careful definition of concurrent engineering and, after an extensive study of all of product development, we propose three criteria which ideal concurrent engineering must satisfy. However, for labor, time, and overall cost considerations, ideal concurrent engineering is infeasible. Instead, we propose a computer-based environment which, by being constructed in accordance with the three criteria, attempts to approach ideal concurrent engineering. The result is the Virtual Concurrent Engineering method and computer implementation environment. This product development method and computer-based implementation system provide the detailed, structured information and data needed to optimally balance the product with respect to the main product development parameters (e.g., manufacturing costs, assembly, reliability). This important information includes re-design suggestions to improve the existing design. The designer can directly apply these re-design suggestions for design optimization, or he can use the results as input into a more complex design optimization or design parameterization function of his own. To demonstrate Virtual Concurrent Engineering, we use it to refine earlier work done by the authors in the Design for Producibility of stamped products. We discuss, in some detail, the results of applying Design for Producibility to complex stampings, including process plans and product producibility computations.

This study extends the new product development (NPD) to a new field; Market Driving Digital New Product Development Method is addressed in this paper, which is based on reverse engineering and rapid prototyping technology. This study finds that the higher the effort on marketing-R&D process, the less possible it might encounter risk. Thus, a better NPD performance can be achieved by market driving Digital NPD method (MDDNPD).A case study of All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) is used to illustrate the new method. We believe that the proposed methodology will have a positive impact on the future new product development.

With the gradual maturity of component oriented software development method, component-based software evolution technology has become hot research in academia and industry. Although many evolution rules are designed, they rarely consider component type-mismatched problem in evolution rules. This has led to evolution rules that often run error in software evolution execution. Hence, focusing on the mismatch problem of component type in software evolution, this paper addresses various evolution rules with condition constrains to support component type matching. First, we use the bigraph theory to model the software architecture and employ bigraph term language to describe the basic component evolution operations. Second, we join type system into the term language and use the type term language to express the condition constraints on position and connection for component evolution rules. These condition constraints can guarantee the type-matched among components that participate in software evolution. Furthermore, we show that the component type-matched still kept during a number of different evolution rules are used in the whole software evolution reaction system. Finally, two cases study of evolution progress of ATM system and tourism information system are presented. Two cases illustrate the effectiveness of our approach.
