The use of local currency has been spreading gradually since the 1990s. It has been introduced by nonprofit organizations (NPOs) and similar groups in some countries around the world. Welfare, nursing and nonpaying work, such as childrearing, are among the most popular reasons for introducing local currency. Recently, one local currency has appeared related to preventing environmental problems and protective and nursing industries. In some countries, local currencies have supported expectations for economic recovery. Promoting the spread of local currency is thought to be important. Information technology (IT) has contributed to the spread of local currency and may create new areas of usage and value. Various problems accompany the spreading use of local currencies. Local currency will not create major obstacles to economic activity as long as the sizes of transactions do not increase greatly, so governments and financial authorities have little reason to prohibit its use unless the currency issue authority in the country is seriously threatened. The exchange of digital value through IT (e.g., IC cards and the diffusion of the local currency) has significant value but also increases risks. To promote efficiency and convenience in local currency by introducing IT, governments, public administrations and municipalities should cooperate with a strategy for the information and communication technology (ICT) development. Alliances among many institutions should be considered.

The financial system is one of the primary users of information technology, which in recent decades has experienced phenomenal progress. This chapter discusses how information and communication technology has changed the financial system, and what policy challenges arise from the interactions of information technology progress and financial innovation. I focus on the asset management and banking industries. In the case of asset management, progress in information technology has partially transformed the industry, and potentially made it more efficient. In the case of banking, the industry has been changed profoundly, has grown significantly, but at the same time it has become more fragile. The chapter discusses the implications of these phenomena for policymaking.

Computer-based information and communication technologies continue to transform the delivery of health care and the conception and scientific understanding of the human body and the diseases that afflict it. While information technology has the potential to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care, it also raises important ethical and social issues. This IRIE theme issue seeks to provide a forum to identify, analyse and discuss the ethical and social issues raised by various applications of information and communication technology in medicine and health care. The contributions give a flavour of the extraordinarily broad landscape shaped by the intersection of medicine, computing and ethics. In fact, their diversity suggests that much more work is needed to clarify issues and approaches, and to provide practical tools for clinicians.

The rapid development of information and communication technology is currently having an impact on changes in various fields, one of which is changes in people's lifestyles, including consumption in society. The development of information and communication technology has resulted in easier access for people in the world to access the internet and use it to buying and selling transactions online via the internet. The report Global Web Index notes that Indonesia has a high level of users e-commerce highest in the world and as many as 96% of internet users looking for a product or service to make purchases online. This has resulted in the development of e-commerce in Indonesia and throughout the world which is increasing as a consequence of which the competition is getting harder service providers are e-commerce required to provide the best service in order to increase customer satisfaction and trust so that customers will be loyal to using these services. This can be achieved by paying attention to customer value and corrective actions in an effort to restore service to customers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of customer perceived value and e-service recovery on e-loyalty with e-satisfaction and e-trust as intervening variables. This study uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to ecommerce Shopee Indonesia customers in Medan City with a total sample of 328 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used non-probability sampling. Data analysis was carried out through SEM-PLS using the SmartPLS program. The results of this study indicate that customer perceived value has a significant effect on e-satisfaction and also e-loyalty. However, customer perceived value has no significant effect on e-trust. The variable e-service recovery directly has a significant effect on e-satisfaction, e-trust, and e-loyalty. E-satisfaction and e-trust cannot mediate the relationship between customer perceived value and e-loyalty, but they are able to mediate the relationship between e-service recovery and e-loyalty. Keywords: Customer perceived value, E-Service Recovery, E-Satisfaction, ETrust, E-Loyalty.

Nowadays technology is developing very fast, including information and communication technology. For that we need fast steps in following it. Information and communication technology has entered all aspects of life, including the business world. This is because the work assisted by information technology can minimize errors and even losses that will occur. Warna Print is a company engaged in the printing sector, which serves banner designs and banner printing and is currently facing problems in the field of ordering. The banner ordering system used in Warna Print is still done conventionally. For example, in recording orders, making order invoices to taking orders and transaction reports, they still rely on recording on notes. This of course can cause loss or damage to the order data and sales transactions. With the design of this application will be able to help expedite the transaction process on Color Print. The design of this application uses the Netbeans IDE with the Java programming language and the MySQL database program. This application has guaranteed security, because only owners and employees who have a username and password can access this application. In addition, the error rate in recording orders is very small, because each customer receives a different transaction number, so as to minimize errors on the transaction report.

Introduction: In the field of health, information and communication technology plays an important role, the world is experiencing the era of communication, the field of health is not asymmetrical. According to the study, Iran is one of the countries that is at high risk of diabetes, and continues to increase in Iran and in most countries. The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on the effectiveness of Information and Communication Technology (ICTs) in the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes.Material and Methods: This study was conducted as a review and through a search of valid information databases such as PubMed, Science direct, and Google Scholar. After the final extraction from the 106 papers in the cellular field 37% and 36% in telemedicine and 27% in the Internet topic from 2010 to 2018, were finalized. Results: The findings of the study showed that the recent developments in information technology combined with services for cost optimization have increased and the current use of information technology (IT) offers unique opportunities for patients with diabetes. Internet, mobile phone and telemedicine services can facilitate and improve communication between patients and healthcare professionals and play an important role in managing diabetes. The growing challenge is the proper management of diabetes to play an important role by employing innovative approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing the incidence of adverse healthcare systems. Conclusion: This study is an overview of information and communication technology research in diabetes management and can help researchers measure the effectiveness of information and communication technology in diabetes self-care and therapeutic systems in different areas and motivate self-management. Typically, designers of ICT based initiatives tend to consider the emerging trends of information and communication technology (ICT) as the starting point for designing an e-initiative rather than first inculcating a clarity on what services are to be delivered by such e-initiatives. ‘Technology first' or ‘Citizens First' is a conflict all designers have been confronted with, especially in the wake of all technology trends infesting the world now. To resolve this dichotomy, the present study proposes a citizen-centric framework, christened by author as G2C2G framework, which advocates combining technology in equal measures with the respective ‘socio-cultural issues' of the local populace.

Research in information and communication technologies (ICTs) has proven to be a major driver for innovation and growth in many countries around the world and is therefore the focus of policies to strengthen research, collaboration and application of research results. This chapter represents a detailed policy analysis of ICT research policies from the European region. The analysis follows a four step pattern: (1) Introduction: the situation of ICT R&D (Information and communication Technology Research and Development) and in Europe, (2) The main actors and programmes funding ICT R&D, (3) The main actors and projects active in ICT R&D and (4) The main ICT R&D themes.
