The growing incidence of outsourcing and offshoring of professional applications is motivating increasing interest in the use of grid computing and grid topologies for meeting the infrastructure requirements. A Wireless Grid facilitates the exchange of information and the interaction between heterogeneous wireless and wired devices. Depending on the nature of the interactions among the constituencies served by the wireless grid, various layouts can be envisaged to provide ubiquitous services. A wireless grid is similar to the wired grid in terms of its distributed nature, the requirement for standards and protocols, and the need for adequate Quality of Service. In addition, a Wireless Grid has to deal with the complexities of the limited power of the mobile devices, the limited bandwidth, and the increased dynamic nature of the interactions involved. The ability of the grid models to address outsourcing needs is contingent upon the efficient resolution of multiple technical challenges.

A Wireless Grid is an augmentation of a wired grid that facilitates the exchange of information and the interaction between heterogeneous wireless devices. While similar to the wired grid in terms of its distributed nature, the requirement for standards and protocols, and the need for adequate Quality of Service; a Wireless Grid has to deal with the added complexities of the limited power of the mobile devices, the limited bandwidth, and the increased dynamic nature of the interactions involved. This complexity becomes important in designing the services for mobile computing. A grid topology and naming service is proposed which can allow self-configuration and self-administration of various possible wireless grid layouts.

<p>The goal of the present paper is to analyze the effect of personnel's education and psychological competence on<br />quality of service. The mediation role of organizational competence in Ministry of the Interior is of<br />descriptive-correlational method. To do that, the standard questionnaire psychological competence by Spriters<br />(1995), personnel education and quality of service by Deher (2015) and organizational commitment by Alen and<br />Mier (1990) were used. The statistical population of the research includes all personnel of Ministry of the<br />Interior which are 1600 subjects. Based on Cochran's formula, 3100 subjects were selected randomly. In order to<br />analyze data the Pearson's correlation test and structural equation of data analysis were used by SPSS and AMOS<br />software. The findings of the research indicate that personnel's education has a positive effect on organizational<br />competence and quality of service (with Alpha level of 0.05). Moreover, the psychological competence is<br />positively affect the quality of service (with Alpha level of 0.05) and organizational commitment affect the<br />quality of service. Finally, it was revealed that the personnel training through organizational commitment affect<br />the quality of service. But, psychological competence does not affect the quality of service through<br />organizational commitment. Moreover, psychological competence does not affect the organizational commitment.<br />The significance levelof the model turned out to be more than the first type error (0.05). This shows that the<br />significant adaption of the estimated model with the present research model. Furthermore, the AGFI and GFI<br />indicators are more than the estimated value (0.9). These indicators show that the model has a capability in<br />estimating the ratio of each factor.</p>

This chapter discusses the state of the art in dealing with the resource optimization problem for smooth delivery of video across a peer to peer (P2P) network. It further discusses the properties of using different video coding techniques such as Scalable Video Coding (SVC) and Multiple Descriptive Coding (MDC) to overcome the playback latency in multimedia streaming and maintains an adequate quality of service (QoS) among the users. The problem can be summarized as follows; Given that a video is requested by a peer in the network, what properties of SVC and MDC can be exploited to deliver the video with the highest quality, least upload bandwidth and least delay from all participating peers. However, the solution to these problems is known to be NP hard. Hence, this chapter presents the state of the art in approximation algorithms or techniques that have been proposed to overcome these issues.

Today, technologies are providing mobile terminals with much more powerful computational abilities. Such improvement has made it possible to run many complex applications on mobile devices. However, many of these new applications are also resource demanding. Lacking sufficient resources would cause performance failures and impact negatively on the users’ quality of experience. In order to improve this, it is important to provide the users with an easy access to specifying their requirements. It is also crucial to monitor the system resources and make corresponding adaptation immediately according to the user’s specifications. In this paper, the authors propose adaptation strategies that flexibly combine the process of monitoring and adaptation, which provides an easy way to specify user’s requirements. By tuning the quality of service, the applications’ demand on system resources is reduced, thus decreasing the chances of performance failures and improving the users’ quality of experience.

Grid computing environments are dynamic and heterogeneous in nature. In order to realize application- specific Quality of Service agreements within a grid, specifications at the level of an application are required. This chapter introduces an XML-based schema language (called the Application Specification Language, ASL) and a corresponding modeling tool that can be used to describe applications in grid computing environments. Such application descriptions allow derivation of guided and autonomic service developments for installation and invocation routines throughout the grid. In order to promote the language and ease the application description process, a domain-specific tool is also introduced. Based on our experience, the ASL in combination with higher level models improves, simplifies and promotes the grid application deployment process while simultaneously minimizing tedious and error-prone tasks such as manual application description composition.

This study aims to explain the effect of service quality on store image, the influence of service quality on repurchase intention, the influence of store image on repurchase intention, and the role of store image mediate the influence of service quality on repurchase intention in Carrefour Bali Province. Repurchase intention is one of the company's goals because the repurchae intention is the action of the consumer to be faithful to the company. This research was conducted in the area of ??Bali Province using 100 respondents. Data collection method used is purposive sampling method with path analysis technique. The results showed that service quality had positive and significant effect to store image. Quality of service has a positive and significant impact on the repurchase intention. The store image has a positive and significant impact on the repurchase intention. Store image as a variable of mediation have an indirectly significant influence to repurchase intention through service quality variable.

Computer networks are now part of every human activity. The use of computer networks is currently experiencing a significant increase due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, there are still many problems with computer networks, such as what often happens is the slow pace of computer networks in transferring data caused by limited bandwidth or maximum limits. owned by the computer network. For that, we need a computer network bandwidth management method called the QoS (Quality of Service) method. In this method, a tool called the Mikrotik Router-board RB951Ui-2HnD is used to conduct this research. In implementing this system the steps are taken starting from data collection, requirements analysis, system design with flowcharts and system depiction using a star topology, then implementation and unit testing on the user or Client, and testing the computer network system on the Mikrotik Router-board. The results of this study will be explained using statistical tables obtained from testing using the Wireshark application
