While family businesses are struggling with all the problems of any other business on one hand, they are also struggling to deal with problems arising from family dynamics on the other hand. The main challenge for the establishment and prevention of conflict, and organizational deviant behavior in these enterprises is the difficulty to separate family and business subsystems that are intertwined with each other without damaging them. This study focuses on organizational deviant behavior arising from probable negative relationship emotions after role ambiguity and conflict of family members in a family business. Furthermore, family effect (altruism) is also defined, which is another aspect affecting deviant behavior. Followed with the general concept of organizational deviations and conflicts and types of conflicts in family business, the last part covers deviation behavior reasons stemming from role conflict, role ambiguity, family altruism, and relationship conflict. The relationship between all these concepts are discussed with a conceptual literature review.

The present study aims at investigating the relationship of the deviant workplace behavior with the organizational justice and staff development in the universities of Tehran. The descriptive-correlational research method has been used, while the data analysis has relied on the correlation and regression analysis. The research population has comprised of the all staff of the selected universities in Tehran. Sampling has been conducted through stratified random method, which resulted in a sample with 326 participants. In order to measure the deviant workplace behavior and staff development, two researcher-made questionnaires have been used (reliability= 0.92 and 0.85, respectively), while the organizational justice has been measured using the Niehoff and Moorman (1996) (reliability= 0.87). The findings revealed that deviant workplace behavior has a negative relationship with the staff development (p=32) and organizational justice (p=22). The results of the regression analysis delineated that staff development has a mediating role in the relationship between organizational justice and deviant workplace behavior. That is, organizational justice sets grounds for staff development and in turn, staff development reduces the deviant workplace behaviors.

This study investigates the relationship between organizational commitment and workplace stressors, such as role ambiguity, role conflict, work-family conflict, and organizational injustice. A data of 150 respondents have been collected from the educational sector from university teachers of Faisalabad and analyzed through (SEM), using the least-squares method. The study included Pearson chi-square, correlation, and regression to verify determine how well theoretical distributions fit the empirical distributions. The study findings show the relationship between work-family conflict with organizational commitment, and the work-family conflict has a significant negative relationship with organizational commitment. The lack of commitment of teachers is due to their family responsibilities. The second purpose was to check the association between role ambiguity conflict and organizational commitment. Ambiguity/role conflict and organizational commitment have significant relations. Conflicts and ambiguity in the roles make them struggle to clear their role and prove themselves to the organization, which shows significant relation.

a number of business failures have not been reported in Nigeria arising from inability to payback nor does service debts .This paper empirically investigate the relationship between capital structure and firm performance in the Nigerian listed firms. A sample of 30listed firms out of a population of 173 were examined from 2005 to 2014 using multiple regression tools. Two hypotheses were formulated and tested using descriptive statistics and an econometric panel data technique to analyze the gathered data. An insignificantly negative correlation was found between financial leverage and ROA on one hand and a significantly negative relationship between debt/equity mix and ROE on the other hand. It is therefore recommended that firms should use long term liabilities to finance firm’s activities and mix debt/equity appropriately by ensuring that debt financing ratio is lower to enhance corporate performance and survival.

Deviant workplace behavior among employees is becoming a universal issue at various organizations, not excluding enforcement agencies. Deviant behavior need to be studied by scholars to prevent detrimental effects such as jobdissatisfaction, intention to quit, stress, decreased productivity, loss of work time, high turnover rate and financial costs among employees. The purpose of this paper is to explore the types of deviant workplace behavior in the government sector in Malaysia. Data collection for the research was carried out by interviewing 14 law enforcement officers in Malaysia. This study involves various departments. The study found that there are various types of misconduct existing at the organization e.g. bribery, uninformed polygamy, drugs, on-line gambling, absenteeism, and lateness. This research is an explanatory research, because it explaining about the relationship among the hypnotized variables. This research aims to knowing about the relationship and the influence between the accounts, location to the other bank, and loans to the net margin in Bank Jatim Madiun. The results are between accounts to net margin has positive relationship, between location to another bank to net margin has negative relationship, and between loans to net margin has positive relationship. Together, the variables have strong enough relationship to net margin, it showing by coefficient of determination value is 0,956, it means that the value close to 1. So, 4,4% of Profitability Net Margin influenced by the others variables. The method of research was by using field research that including observation, interview and library research. The analyzing data method was by using Multiple Regression Analysis, Correlation Analysis, and Coefficient of Determination Analysis.

One of the factors that influence turnover intention is job characteristic. This study is aimed to determine the relationship of job characteristic to employee turnover intention in PT. XY. Hypothesis that proposed in this research is that there is a relationship between job characteristic and turnover intention. 60 Workers from PT. XY participated in this study which obtained by total sampling technique. Data is obtained from the scale to measure job characteristic and turnover intention. A Product moment correlation test was used to analyze the data. The result of data analysis shown that the correlation coefficient is -0.524 with sig. of 0.000 (p <0.05). This study shows that there is a negative relationship between job characteristic to turnover intention and the effective correlation (contribution) that is given from turnover intention is 27.5% and the other 72.5% is affected by other factors. Base on the result ini this study, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a relationship between job characteristic and turnover intention.

The aim of the current study was to investigate students' mind wandering while reading different types of textual narrations (macroscopic and submicroscopic) in chemistry. Another goal was to determine the relationship between mind wandering and students' reading comprehension. The participants were 65 female ninth grade students in Oman. Using a computer screen, participants were required to read about sodium chloride. A probe-catch procedure was used to measure students' mind wandering. Half of the slides presented textual narrations at the macroscopic level and the other half presented narrations at the submicroscopic level. We gave the students a paper and pencil reading comprehension test at the conclusion of the reading task. The findings indicated that participants' mind wandering while reading submicroscopic textual narrations was significantly higher when compared to reading macroscopic textual narrations. Also, there was a significant negative relationship between mind wandering and reading comprehension for both macroscopic and submicroscopic textual narrations. Implications and future research are discussed.

Deviant workplace behavior has become a most costly phenomenon as it includes a wide range of negative acts performed by the employees to harm the organization and its members. The workplace is a forum where employees are seen behaving in different productive manners in order to achieve a common goal. As people spend a lot of time interacting with each other at the workplace, some of the employee behaviors are unpredictable. That is why managing the behavior of employees is a major concern of authorities. Thus, the organizations wish to have employees who do not bring harm to the workplace but instead carry out tasks, duties, and responsibilities of their position. Such behavior that causes harm to the organization is undesirable and is considered to be deviant. This chapter will focus upon the conceptual framework of the deviant behavior at the workplace by discussing the constructive and destructive workplace behavior, antecedents of negative deviant behavior, and which factors trigger deviant behavior.
