This chapter focuses on entrepreneurship having students as actors. Students were engaged in the development of a business project. They turned ideas into action in a creative and innovative process. The academic study was conducted at a Polytechnic Health school. They used the management common tools to develop the idea and they experienced the role of an entrepreneur. Conversely, one of the aspects that contributed to the motivation for this work lies into the existing gap concerning project management applied to entrepreneurship. The current literature focuses on the definition of the business plan, a static component of entrepreneurship, which is fundamental for financing domains, but it neglects the dynamic component essential for the development of a business idea. The student majors' rewards were related with the teamwork environment: collaboration, communication, and creativity. This chapter provides to entrepreneurship educators, valuable insights on how to improve the effectiveness of the business project requirements in entrepreneurship education curriculum.

By examining the history of what was earlier considered project management, this chapter not only points out lessons from past practices but also justifies the selected definition of VLITP. It also explains the role of project management in a fast business environment. The author has demonstrated such importance by representing VLITP in the form of a major initiative that contains a series of relevant processes in the host organization.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to understand the philosophical changes which underpin research and practices in project management. This study is an attempt to challenge previous studies that have tried to explain this change in order to provide a better explanation.Design/methodology/approachThe authors adopt a critical review research method to challenge previous explanations of the paradigm change and definition of communication. For this purpose, philosophical and social theories and concepts have been used.FindingsThis paper proposed changing the paradigm from modernism to postmodernism and the paradigm shift, which happens from postmodernism to participation, as a better explanation for the paradigmatic change in project management. Furthermore, the important role of communication has been illustrated in the participation paradigm.Originality/valueFor the first time in project management, the authors attempt to clarify the role of power in this paradigmatic shift, especially because this concept is an axial concept in postmodern philosophy and a neglected concept in project management literature. In addition, communicative action theory has been used with the aim of pursuing the influence of informal power in the participation paradigm and paving the way for confronting its emerging challenges in future studies.

The growth of undergraduate entrepreneurship education programs and research, both within and outside of business programs, has led to a diverse array of academic literature on this topic. The diversity of perspectives has led to many conceptual and educational challenges that remain unresolved within the literature. The following conceptual paper offers a critical perspective on challenges that have been identified. A narrative-style literature review was conducted to explore challenges emerging from both (a) the practice of teaching entrepreneurship and (b) the definitions and assessment of entrepreneurial mindsets and skills that result from those education processes in entrepreneurship education, particularly within an undergraduate engineering education context. We achieve this objective by discussing previously dispersed sources of literature from disciplines that have critically discussed and explored entrepreneurial themes, such as business education, sociology, psychology, and philosophy. Contemporary debates within multiple disciplines are integrated and organized as challenges to inspire new theoretical discussions among scholars, educators, and other practitioners that can inform a more comprehensive way to conceive and assess entrepreneurship in engineering education. Seven challenges were identified ranging from the definition of entrepreneurship in education to the role of ethics in the teaching and assessment of entrepreneurship. We use these seven challenges and research questions as a starting point for the disambiguation of the working definition of entrepreneurship in the context of engineering education.

In the article, the author considers project management as a socio-economic system, which has characteristics that are different from other projects. The definition of project management and its essence as a socio-economic system are revealed. The main problems that arise in project management are highlighted, and solutions are proposed that will effectively implement this process. The article provides an overview of the role of educational programs in the development of the competence of professionals in the field of project management. The problems facing project management training and possible solutions are considered, and current trends in project management training are considered.

Research shows that entrepreneurial activities significantly promote economic development, which enhances the importance of the innovative entrepreneurial potential of college students. This study analyzes the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention from the perspective of planned behavior theory. By examining the significant role of entrepreneurship education at colleges and universities on economic and social development, we established a conceptual model. To understand the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, the hypotheses propose the intermediary role of entrepreneurial ability, and the study provides evidence from China the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. Improving entrepreneurial intention and encouraging college students to establish businesses through entrepreneurship education in universities is crucial. This study proposes a hypothetical model of the relationship between entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial intention in entrepreneurship education at universities. Using a questionnaire survey of college students with practical experience in the Yangtze River Delta of China, the bootstrap method in the SPSS macro program process software verifies the hypotheses. The results show that entrepreneurial teaching, business plan competition, and entrepreneurial practice support positively affect entrepreneurial competence. In addition, entrepreneurial competence plays an intermediary role in the relationship between entrepreneurial teaching, business plan competition, entrepreneurship practice support, and entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurship education improves the ability to establish a business in the present and in entrepreneurial activities in the future. Entrepreneurial competence obtained through entrepreneurship education continuously affects entrepreneurial intention.

The analysis of scientific and practical approaches concerning the identification and classification of stakeholders, the definition of centers of influence on projects were carried out. It has been shown that there is insufficient attention paid to the aspects of proactive interaction with the stakeholders in the project management, the specificity of the projects for the ensuring of municipal energy efficiency is not taken into account. This article proposes to introduce the concept of the proactivity basis, identify the role of stakeholders of the municipal energy efficiency projects and the strength of their influence on the adoption of management decisions. The model of stakeholders of such projects is suggested taking into account the proactive influence on them. The model identifies stakeholders, their roles in municipal energy efficiency projects, and proposes appropriate proactive basis. The principles of proactive communication of the project of ensuring the municipal energy efficiency projects with stakeholders are formulated: the principle of common values, the principle of priority, the principle of continuous monitoring, the principle of feedback effectiveness, and the principle of strategic partnership. The method of proactive communication of the project management system is also developed, which will allow for proactive management of projects to ensure municipal energy efficiency.

Purpose Women are underrepresented in most university entrepreneurship education (EE) programmes and less likely than men to pursue business venturing as a career. One reason may be the “entrepreneurial identity gap”, whereby female students do not see themselves as successful entrepreneurs. This paper aims to explore the nature of this identity gap and its relationship to entrepreneurial intent and entrepreneurship education. Design/methodology/approach A set of contemporary, gender-inclusive entrepreneurial attributes was developed using entrepreneurial subject matter experts and tested with 591 university students to explore the nature of the gendered entrepreneurial identity gap. Findings While masculine stereotypes persist and the entrepreneurial identity gap is larger for female students, results suggest that a more gender-inclusive vocabulary of entrepreneurship is emerging among the student population and an androgynous perception of the idealized entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship education had a positive influence on entrepreneurial intent. Research limitations/implications Study findings advance the conversation about entrepreneurial identity, the nature of the gendered identity gap and the role of education in closing that gap. The questionnaire and set of gender-inclusive attributes should continue to be tested beyond student samples. Practical implications Based on this study, entrepreneurship education could benefit from more gender-inclusive instructional practices and vocabulary and a broadened definition of what it means to be entrepreneurial. More students – both men and women – will see themselves as entrepreneurs and be inspired to participate in the innovation economy. Originality/value This study takes a novel approach to the study of entrepreneurial identity, developing a new set of attributes and contemporary vocabulary around business venturing.

The authors showed the role of project categorization in solving the problems of project management. Based on the systematic approach and the application of logical analysis, it is argued that the definition of the project category already at the stage of its initiation allows to determine the main attributes of the management process and formulate the requirements to the composition of the project team competencies. The classification feature of international business projects is revealed. It is shown that the classification attribute reflecting the nature of relations between the project participants and taking into account the spatial localization of national legal systems, is the only acceptable for the definition of projects of this type. The author’s definition of the concept of «international project» is given. The subject composition of the international project, as well as the necessary and sufficient components of the conditions of attributing the project to the category of international.

This study discusses how Pyisical Education Teachers Educator (PETE) adopt Physical Literacy (PL). Knowledge is the foundation of PL to know what to do and when is the right time to do it. The research has a goal, so that PETE understands the definition of PL. This research study contains 3 stages, the first is determining the objectives of the PL, the second is curriculum planning and the third is the learning approach. The method used is a literature review of several opinions about PL in Physical Education (PE). The national PE curriculum is structured and developed to achieve national education goals that are adapted to current conditions and future needs in order to live regularly and actively, through Physical Activity (PA). For this reason, efforts should be made to create a healthy lifestyle and maintain physical fitness (PF). PL is a potential that can be optimally developed for children from an early age. The role of PE is very important in the formation of PL in children, where cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects are in the goal of PE which can provide motivation, confidence and enthusiasm to continue doing PA.
