Modelling Propagation of Public Opinions on Microblogging Big Data Using Sentiment Analysis and Compartmental Models

Compartmental models have been used to model information diffusion on social media. However, there have been few studies on modelling positive and negative public opinions using compartmental models. This study aimed for using sentiment analysis and compartmental model to model the propagation of positive and negative opinions on microblogging big media. The authors studied the news propagation of seven popular social topics on China's Sina Weibo microblogging platform. Natural language processing and sentiment analysis were used to identify public opinions from microblogging big data. Then two existing (SIZ and SEIZ) models and a newly developed (SE2IZ) model were implemented to model the news propagation and evaluate the trends of public opinions on selected social topics. Simulation study was used to check model fitting performance. The results show that the new SE2IZ model has a better model fitting performance than existing models. This study sheds some new light on using social media for public opinion estimation and prediction.

The main objective of this paper is Analyze the reviews of Social Media Big Data of E-Commerce product’s. And provides helpful result to online shopping customers about the product quality and also provides helpful decision making idea to the business about the customer’s mostly liking and buying products. This covers all features or opinion words, like capitalized words, sequence of repeated letters, emoji, slang words, exclamatory words, intensifiers, modifiers, conjunction words and negation words etc available in tweets. The existing work has considered only two or three features to perform Sentiment Analysis with the machine learning technique Natural Language Processing (NLP). In this proposed work familiar Machine Learning classification models namely Multinomial Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree Classifier, and, Random Forest Classifier are used for sentiment classification. The sentiment classification is used as a decision support system for the customers and also for the business.


Various fields like Text Mining, Linguistics, Decision Making and Natural Language Processing together form the basis for Opinion Mining or Sentiment Analysis. People share their feelings, observations and thoughts on social media, which has emerged as a powerful tool for rapidly growing enormous repository of real time discussions and thoughts shared by people. In this paper, we aim to decipher the current popular opinions or emotions from various sources, hence, contributing to sentiment analysis domain. Text from social media, blogs and product reviews are classified according to the sentiment they project. We re-examine the traditional processes of sentiment extraction, to incorporate the increase in complexity and number of the data sources and relevant topics, while re-populating the meaning of sentiment. Working across and within numerous streams of social media, expression of sentiment and classification of polarity is re-examined, thereby redefining and enhancing the realm of sentiment. Numerous social media streams are analyzed to build datasets that are topical for each stream and are later polarized according to their sentiment expression. In conclusion, defining a sentiment and developing tools for its analysis in real time of human idea exchange is the motive.

Posts with defamatory content or hate speech are constantly foundon social media. The results for readers are numerous, not restrictedonly to the psychological impact, but also to the growth of thissocial phenomenon. With the General Law on the Protection ofPersonal Data and the Marco Civil da Internet, service providersbecame responsible for the content in their platforms. Consideringthe importance of this issue, this paper aims to analyze the contentpublished (news and comments) on the G1 News Portal with techniquesbased on data visualization and Natural Language Processing,such as sentiment analysis and topic modeling. The results showthat even with most of the comments being neutral or negative andclassified or not as hate speech, the majority of them were acceptedby the users.

Sentiments is the term of opinion or views about any topic expressed by the people through a source of communication. Nowadays social media is an effective platform for people to communicate and it generates huge amount of unstructured details every day. It is essential for any business organization in the current era to process and analyse the sentiments by using machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) strategies. Even though in recent times the deep learning strategies are becoming more familiar due to higher capabilities of performance. This paper represents an empirical study of an application of deep learning techniques in Sentiment Analysis (SA) for sarcastic messages and their increasing scope in real time. Taxonomy of the sentiment analysis in recent times and their key terms are also been highlighted in the manuscript. The survey concludes the recent datasets considered, their key contributions and the performance of deep learning model applied with its primary purpose like sarcasm detection in order to describe the efficiency of deep learning frameworks in the domain of sentimental analysis.

In recent years, digital technology and research methods have developed natural language processing for better understanding consumers and what they share in social media. There are hardly any studies in transportation analysis with TripAdvisor, and moreover, there is not a complete analysis from the point of view of sentiment analysis. The aim of study is to investigate and discover the presence of sustainable transport modes underlying in non-categorized TripAdvisor texts, such as walking mobility in order to impact positively in public services and businesses. The methodology follows a quantitative and qualitative approach based on knowledge discovery techniques. Thus, data gathering, normalization, classification, polarity analysis, and labelling tasks have been carried out to obtain sentiment labelled training data set in the transport domain as a valuable contribution for predictive analytics. This research has allowed the authors to discover sustainable transport modes underlying the texts, focused on walking mobility but extensible to other means of transport and social media sources.

One prominent dark side of online information behavior is the spreading of rumors. The feature analysis and crowd identification of social media rumor refuters based on machine learning methods can shed light on the rumor refutation process. This paper analyzed the association between user features and rumor refuting behavior in five main rumor categories: economics, society, disaster, politics, and military. Natural language processing (NLP) techniques are applied to quantify the user’s sentiment tendency and recent interests. Then, those results were combined with other personalized features to train an XGBoost classification model, and potential refuters can be identified. Information from 58,807 Sina Weibo users (including their 646,877 microblogs) for the five anti-rumor microblog categories was collected for model training and feature analysis. The results revealed that there were significant differences between rumor stiflers and refuters, as well as between refuters for different categories. Refuters tended to be more active on social media and a large proportion of them gathered in more developed regions. Tweeting history was a vital reference as well, and refuters showed higher interest in topics related with the rumor refuting message. Meanwhile, features such as gender, age, user labels and sentiment tendency also varied between refuters considering categories.

Contemporary research in Multimodal Sentiment Analysis (MSA) using deep learning is becoming popular in Natural Language Processing. Enormous amount of data are obtainable from social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Twitter and microblogs every day. In order to deal with these large multimodal data, it is difficult to identify the relevant information from social media websites. Hence, there is a need to improve an intellectual MSA. Here, Deep Learning is used to improve the understanding and performance of MSA better. Deep Learning delivers automatic feature extraction and supports to achieve the best performance to enhance the combined model that integrates Linguistic, Acoustic and Video information extraction method. This paper focuses on the various techniques used for classifying the given portion of natural language text, audio and video according to the thoughts, feelings or opinions expressed in it, i.e., whether the general attitude is Neutral, Positive or Negative. From the results, it is perceived that Deep Learning classification algorithm gives better results compared to other machine learning classifiers such as KNN, Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Random Tree and Neural Net model. The proposed MSA in deep learning is to identify sentiment in web videos which conduct the poof-of-concept experiments that proved, in preliminary experiments using the ICT-YouTube dataset, our proposed multimodal system achieves an accuracy of 96.07%.

Based on big data, this paper starts from the behavior data of users on social media, and studies and explores the core issues of user modeling under personalized services. Focusing on the goal of user interest modeling, this paper proposes corresponding improvement measures for the existing interest model, which has great difference in interest description among different users and it is difficult to find the user interest change in time. For the above problems, this paper takes user-generated content and user behavior information as the analysis object, and uses natural language processing, knowledge warehouse, data fusion and other methods and techniques to numerically analyze user interest mining based on text mining and multi-source data fusion. We propose a user interest label space mapping method to avoid data sparse problem caused by too many dimensions in interest analysis. At the same time, we propose a method to extract and blend the long-term and short-term interests, and realize the comprehensive evaluation of interests. In the analysis of the big data phase, the user preference social property application preference value law, it is expected to achieve user Internet social media application preference data mining from the perspective of big data.
