In this paper, C80B car body is the research object to study the load-stress transfer relationship that has great influence on the car body structure. First of all, through the test data of line DaTong to Qin Huangdao, the load-time history of C80B car body’s load on center plate, load on draw gear, roll load and torsional load have been obtained, as well as the stress-time history of the body fatigue key parts have been obtained. And the load spectrum and stress spectrum have been made up. Then the finite element analysis of the car body is made. The load-stress transfer coefficient of fatigue key parts on car body could be obtained. Last the load and stress transfer relationship in detail considering the measured data has been analyzed.

The finite element analysis method was used to analyze the seismic response of two oil pipelines, which have corrosion defects and no defects correspondingly. The velocity, displacement and acceleration time history of the two pipelines and the contrastive analysis of the maximum stress of two pipelines were obtained. The results show that the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the pipeline with corrosion defects are larger than those of the pipeline without corrosion defects, the corrosion has great influence on the bottom of the pipeline, and the influence also has certain wide, the farther away from the corrosion, the smaller the influence is.

In recent years, frequent earthquakes have caused great casualties and economic losses in China. And in the earthquake, damage of buildings and the collapse is the main reason causing casualties. Therefore, in the design of constructional engineering, a seismicity of architectural structure is the pressing task at issue. Through time history analysis method, this paper analyzes the time history of building structural response and then it predicts the peak response of mode by response spectrum analysis. Based on this, this paper constructs a numerical simulation model for the architecture by using finite element analysis software SATWE. At the same time, this paper also calculates the structure seismic so as to determine the design of each function structure in architectural engineering design and then provides reference for the realization of earthquake-resistant building.

Transient dynamic analysis (sometimes called time-history analysis) is a technique used to determine the dynamic response of a structure under the action of any general time-dependent loads. The time scale of the loading is such that the inertia or damping effects are considered to be important. Present work is focused on performing the time history analysis of a typical locomotive coach using finite element analysis in Indian railroad conditions. Track surface irregularity in the form of an ellipsoidal bump is modelled with assumptions that the vehicle passes over the bump in 0.144 seconds, variation in displacement at different key locations of the truck and car body models is plotted against time under standard loading conditions. The response pattern of the front and rear portions of the locomotive truck and car body indicate that these locations are more susceptible to wheel excitations compared to that of the centre portions of it as they are away from the centre of gravity of the vehicle due to unbalanced mass distribution.

The conclusion draws together ideas from the book, suggesting a few key points. First, it draws attention to the cultural agency of ‘exemplars’, or what folklorists have sometimes called ‘star performers’. Singers and storytellers like Henri Vidal, Marie Bouzats, or Catherine Gentes are not just important because they were typical, but because they played leading roles in local cultures. The conclusion argues that such exemplars allow historians to perceive changing cultures of the body which cannot be reduced to the simple advent of a ‘modern’ body. The example of the moorlands of Gascony suggests broader patterns in the history of the body during the period of modernization.

This chapter situates the book as an intervention in discussions of the history of the body, suggesting that the experiences of the working population have often been absent from discussions of changing bodily cultures, which have instead tended to focus on elite discourses. The chapter suggests that the moorlands of Gascony in south-western France make a particularly powerful example, because of the scale and speed of top-down reforms of the landscape following a national law passed in 1857, which encouraged the forestation of the moorlands. The region also boasts one of the most impressive ethnographic archives, thanks to the work of the folklorist Félix Arnaudin (1844–1921). The chapter finishes with an outline of key methodologies drawn from folklore studies, including the study of performance, variation, and traceability.

The history of emotions has become a thriving focus within the discipline of history, but it has in the process gained a critical purchase that makes it relevant for other disciplines concerned with emotion research. The history of emotions is entangled with the history of the body and brain, and with cultural and political history. It is interested in the how and why of emotion change; with the questions of power and authority behind cultural scripts of expression, conceptual usages, and emotional practices. This work has reached a level of maturity and sophistication in its theoretical and methodological orientation, and in its sheer quantity of empirical research, that it contributes to emotion knowledge within the broad framework of emotion research.
