For the elderly special physiological needs, used of building energy evaluation software named Autodesk Vasari to simulate the wind environment of the planning area. Explored the impact of the wind environment on choosing the location of Diao Bingshan Sun city endowment community. And used software to simulate and contrast, optimized local wind environment from layout view. Finally, use the conclusions to guide this project design and summarize the factors affecting the outdoor wind environment in order to guide the design of similar projects.

The paper will establish the appropriate model to the impact of the shape coefficient of Commercial building energy consumption in cold regions, validity analysis used the building energy evaluation software named Autodesk Ecotect to provide adequate theoretical basis of energy conservation design strategies.

Building Energy Efficiency is one of the most important goals for green architectural design. Natural ventilation is a building energy efficiency technique adapting to the environment. Compared with air conditioning, natural ventilation can reduce the energy consumption and bring new air to indoor space. However, air environment, as an important aspect of building optimal design, can be ignored easily in traditional research, the quantitative analysis aiming at the energy efficiency of natural ventilation is less. In this paper, we use Fluent Air-pak software and Wenyuan Building of TongJi University as an example, to analyze the air flow field of indoor natural ventilation and provide the method and theory of air-environment design.

Context: Insomnia is prevalent among elderly individuals and has become a public health problem receiving increasing concern. Low sleep quality is related to a number of negative health outcomes. Objective: This research aims to investigate the sleep status of community-dwelling elderly individuals (aged 60 years or older) in Shanghai, China, to explore the impact factors affecting sleep quality. Methods: One street in Shanghai city was randomly selected, and 50% of the elderly residents were randomly selected as participants for a total number of 9,616 people. Investigations were conducted by indoor surveys through home doctors and paper questionnaires. For statistical analysis, univariate and multivariate regression analysis and the Spearman correlation model were performed using SAS 9.4 to analyze the effects of the impact factors on the sleep quality of elderly individuals. Results: Sleep quality is greatly affected by physical pain in both the elderly individual and the individual’s spouse. Healthy elderly people tend to have better sleep quality, and the more chronic diseases an elderly individual suffers, the worse their sleep quality is. In addition, the physical pain of a cohabiting spouse is one of the most significant impact factors influencing sleep quality. Conclusion: We suggest that community-dwelling elderly people maintain moderate outdoor activities and a healthy mental state, which will improve their sleep quality.

Objective: There are many factors that can affect appetite in the older adult. Physiological factors affecting appetite can include cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, renal disease, mental health issues, and even side effects of medications. Decreased ability to ambulate due to joint issues or pain can also negatively impact an older adult’s appetite. But perhaps one significant factor that is commonly overlooked is the ill fitting partial or complete denture. According to the American Dental Association, there are approximately 57% of people ages 65 to 74 wearing some form of denture. Due to this large number of denture wearers, it becomes imperative that health care providers learn to incorporate an oral assessment into their plan of care each time an older adult patient is examined. This assessment can assist providers to identify and differentiate unintentional weight loss and loss of appetite as being either part of a disease process or as a symptom of denture issues. Only then can the overall health of the elderly be holistically viewed and treated. The aim of this paper is to provide a summary of published data expressing the nutritional issues that occur in the elderly due to either being edentulous or from wearing improperly fitting dentures.

Aim: The study of the impact of socio-economic, demographic factors and polymorbidity on the quality of life associated with health (HRQoL) in elderly people from Japan and Russia. Background: Factors affecting the quality of life of the elderly in both countries are poorly understood. Objective: Make a comparative analysis of factors affecting the quality of life of the elderly of both sexes in Japan and Russia. Methods: The age range in this study is 65-95 years old. For the study of HRQoL, a questionnaire Health Status Survey-Short Form 36v2 was used, including two main domains: physical and mental health. The level of polymorbidity was studied using CIRS-G. The linear regression model of the influence of variables upon HRQoL was calculated for SES, demographic characteristics, and morbidity. Results: Strong associations with HRQoL in the combined sample had a living together with relatives (r=6.94 (5.17-8.72) p<0,05), the incidence rate (r=8.50 (5.51-11.49), p<0.01) and the older age (r=5.39 (2.63-8.16), p<0,01.). The elderly inhabitants of Japan had a higher self-assessment for physical health in the age ranges 65-74 and over 85 years old (p<0.05), and a higher selfassessment of mental health at the age of 75-84 years old. Sixty-eight elderly Japanese and 48% Russians estimated their physical health as normal. Conclusion: The effect of living together, morbidity and age upon HRQoL is manifested equally strongly both among the inhabitants of Japan and among the Russians. The elderly Japanese estimate the state of physical and mental health as a whole higher than their Russian peers.

Background: Containment of the coronavirus pandemic relied extensively on the combination of early implementation of quarantine and massive behavioral changes to ensure effectiveness. Decision-makers need to constantly monitor the outbreak situation and the impact of the measures implemented. Yet little is known about the factors influencing adherence and understanding of lockdown measures among the Palestinian community. This study aimed to assess the impact and factors affecting these early public health interventions.Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional web-based questionnaire was distributed throughout social media (Facebook and Instagram). We used a snowball recruiting technique to target Palestinian adult citizens during the coronavirus pandemic quarantine between 6 and 16 April 2020, which corresponded to almost the middle interval of the strict massive lockdown measures in Palestine that lasted from 22 March to 5 May 2020. Multivariate logistic regression models were developed for the outcome variables (staying home adherence, in-home precautions adherence, and quarantine understanding).Results: Our questionnaire was completed by 2,819 participants. The mean (range) age was 29.47 (18–71) years. Of them, 1,144 (40.6%), 1,261 (44.7%), and 1,283 (45.5%) reported low levels of staying home adherence, in-home precautions adherence, and quarantine understanding, respectively. Females, city residents, those with higher educational levels, and those informed by official government sources were associated significantly with higher levels of both staying home adherence and quarantine understanding. Adequate food supply was associated with a higher level of staying home adherence. Higher levels of in-home precautions adherence were noticed in the elderly and those with a high-risk group living at home. Higher monthly income was inversely associated with higher levels of in-home precautions adherence and lower levels of quarantine understanding (P &lt; 0.05).Conclusions: The socio-economic and financial status of the general population and coordination between the major information resources (official government), social media, and the press were the major factors affecting the community in regard to quarantine adherence. For maximum effectiveness and commitment levels amongst the people to decrease the spread of infection, policymakers need to address all those factors. In addition, clear communication between policymakers and the population is essential for reassuring the people and minimizing their fears regarding the unknown future.

Background: Elderly trauma patients present unique challenges and face  more  significant obstacles in  recovery  than  their younger  counterparts. They usually experience higher morbidity and mortality and slower recovery trajectories and have, on average, worse functional, cognitive, and psychosocial outcomes months or years post-injury than do younger patients.Methods: Authors conducted a study of elderly head injury patients to understand the epidemiology of geriatric TBI, the impact of comorbidities and management issues and  outcomes in such patients. Authors had a total of 110 patients who presented with traumatic brain injury and were admitted in this hospital over 2 years. Authors also reviewed the literatures to study the factors affecting outcome after geriatric TBI and studied the role of aggressive neurosurgical management in geriatric TBI.Results: Among 68%(n=75) of the patients were male and 32% females. Age group of 60-65 years was the highest with 60.9% patients. Patients with GCS of 8 and below had the highest mortality rates of 68 %. Overall  mortality  rate  was  32.72%  and  9.09 %  of  the patients survived in a vegetative condition. The proportion of injury secondary to fall was the largest single group in 50.9% patients, and Chronic SDH was the most common pathology seen in 36.45 % patients. Highest mortality was seen in patients with Diffuse Axonal Injury (69.23 %). Out of the 110 patients , 57 patients underwent surgery for various pathologies. Chronic SDH were the most common operated pathology followed by acute SDH. Glassgow outcome scale was used as the measure of outcome in these series of patients.  32.72 % patients had a GOS score of 1 and 9.09 % had a score of 2. 18.18 % patients remained severely disabled with a score of 3 and nine patients (8.18 %) had a score of 4 and thirty five patients had good recovery (GOS-5).Conclusions: Due to the better treatment options there is an increase in the number of elderly around the world. Thus, the number of eldery individuals presenting with TBI to the emergency department is also on the rise more commonly due to falls than road traffic accidents. There is a need for specific prognostic and management guidelines for the elderly which can lead to better diagnosis, care and recovery and eventual short- and long-term outcomes in the elderly.

Energy exchanges between buildings is affected by urban fabric. As a matter of fact, heat exchange between adjacent buildings is due to convective and radiative heat flows. The main parameters which influence these heat exchange mechanisms are due to climate conditions such as air temperatures/humidity, wind speed/direction and solar irradiance. Most building energy simulations are done on an independent single building with typical meteorological year (TMY). These TMY meteorological data cannot represent the state of the urban microclimate and rather ignores the microclimate influence on buildings adjacent to street canyons. However, solar radiation shading and reflection of the environment within the street canyons are important factors affecting the energy consumption of buildings. In this work, a building energy simulation tool is used to study the impact of multiple shortwave inter-reflections in an urban environment. A street canyon model validated in a previous work was modeled in TRNSYS in order to simulate the effects of the urban radiative trapping. An urban canyon with aspect ratio H/W=1 was chosen, with South-North orientation, with transparent/opaque surfaces ratio Atr/Aop=0.5 and 4 values (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) of reflectance factor of the envelope surfaces. The goal is to characterize how solar absorption influence the urban energy requirements. The analysis was conducted for 3 cities in different climatic zones: Rome, Palermo and Krakow.

This study aims to: (1) Knowing the dynamics of fiscal policy and the performance of the agricultural sector, (2) Analyze the factors that influence fiscal policy and the performance                   of the agricultural sector, and (3) Analyzing the impact of fiscal policy on the performance of the agricultural sector. The data used in this study were pooled 2005-2013 data in the aggregate. Econometric model the impact of fiscal policy on the performance of the agricultural sector is built in the form of simultaneous equations, consisting of 7 equations with 25 total variables in the model, 7 endogenous variables, 12 exogenous variables, and 6 variables lag. The model is estimated by 2SLS method SYSLIN procedures and historical simulation with SIMNLIN procedure.The results showed that: (1) The development of fiscal policy in Southeast Sulawesi from year to year tends to increase, (2) The performance of the agricultural sector from the aspect of GDP has decreased, from the aspect of labor is still consistent, in terms of investment to grow positively, and assign roles which means to decrease the number of poor people, (3) factors affecting fiscal policy is local revenues, equalization funds, other revenues, as well as the lag fiscal policy, (4) the factors that affect the performance of the agricultural sector from the aspect GDP is labor, direct expenditure and GDP lag; from the aspect of labor is the total labor force, investment, land area, direct expenditure, as well as the lag of labor; from the aspect of investment is influenced by GDP per capita, land area, interest rates and investment lag; as well as from the aspect of poor people, are affected by population, investments, direct expenditure and poverty lag, (5). Fiscal policy impact on the agricultural sector GDP increase, a decrease in the number of poor, declining agricultural laborers, and a decrease in the amount of investment in the agricultural sector.Keywords: Fiscal policy, the performance of the agricultural sector, the simultaneous equations
