Late-model vehicles inevitably will replace the automobiles due to the non-renewable characteristic of the automobile fuel. This paper has analysed the development trend of the novel vehicles that are driven by wheel hub motor, and proposed the necessity and the research direction of the single electric vehicle.

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is an important part of the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which aims to improve the user’s driving experience by reducing their manual operation and optimizing the vehicles’ performance such as economy, comfort, and safety. With the gradual maturity of research on ACC, it presents various development trends. Among them, ecological adaptive cruise control (EACC) has great development potential in reducing emissions and improving driving range in internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and electric vehicles (EVs). This paper firstly reviews the components of classic ACC. Then the main design methods, research hotspots, and development trends of EACC for HEVs and EVs are introduced in detail. This paper not only provides a comprehensive analysis of EACC design and application in different type of vehicles but also forecasts the future research direction and trend, expecting to promote the further development of EACC efficiently.

Background: In machine vision, the 3D reconstruction is widely used in medical system, autonomous navigation, aviation and remote sensing measurement, industrial automation and other fields, and the demand for reconstruction precision is significantly highlighted. Therefore, the 3D reconstruction is of great research value and will be an important research direction in the future. Objective: By reviewing the latest development and patent of 3D reconstruction, this paper provides references to researchers in related fields. Methods: Machine vision-based 3D reconstruction patents and literatures were analyzed from the aspects of the algorithm, innovation and application. Among them, there are more than 30 patents and nearly 30 literatures in the past ten years. Results: Researches on machine vision-based 3D reconstruction in recent 10 years are reviewed, and the typical characteristics were concluded. The main problems in its development were analyzed, the development trend was foreseen, and the current and future research on the productions and patents related to machine vision-based 3D reconstruction is discussed. Conclusion: The reconstruction result of binocular vision and multi-vision is better than monocular vision in most cases. Current researches of 3D reconstruction focus on robot vision navigation, intelligent vehicle environment sensing system and virtual reality. The aspects that need to be improved in the future include: improving robustness, reducing computational complexity, and reducing operating equipment requirements, and so on. Furthermore, more patents on machine vision-based 3D reconstruction also should be invented.

Background: Bearing has been widely used in automotive, aerospace, electronics industry, and other fields.Its pre-tightening technology is one of the most critical technologies. It has an important influence on the accuracy, speed, stiffness, and temperature rise of the spindle. Proper pre-tightening force can eliminate bearing clearance and improve machining accuracy and efficiency of machine tools. Therefore, the development trend of bearing pre-tightening mechanism has been paid more and more attention. Objective: In order to improve the processing efficiency and processing accuracy of the bearing system, the structure and function of the bearing pre-tensioning device are continuously enhanced. Methods: This paper retraces various current representative patents relative to the mechanism of bearing pre-tightening. Results: Through the investigation of several patents of bearing pre-tightening devices, the principles and effects of different bearing pre-tightening devices are classified and reviewed. Besides, the future development trend of bearing pre-tightening devices is discussed. Conclusion: The optimization of the bearing pre-tightening device is conducive to improving processing efficiency and quality. A controllable pre-tightening force is the research direction, and more related patents will be invented in the future.

Permanent magnet synchronous motors are the main power output components of electric vehicles. Once a failure occurs, it will affect the vehicle’s power, stability, and safety. While as a complex field-circuit coupling system composed of machine-electric-magnetic-thermal, the permanent magnet synchronous motor of electric vehicle has various operating conditions and complicated condition environment. There are various forms of failure, and the signs of failure are crossed or overlapped. Randomness, secondary, concurrency, and communication characteristics make it difficult to diagnose faults. Based on the research of a list of related references, this article reviews the methods of intelligent fault diagnosis for electric vehicle permanent magnet synchronous motors. The research status and development trend of fault diagnosis are analyzed. It provides theoretical basis for motor fault diagnosis and health management in multi-variable working conditions and multi-physics environment.

Electric vehicle is an important developing trend of the vehicle industry and the power and technique field. But nowadays, there still exist some problems in this field which cant be solved with mature solutions, such as long time of charging, high cost of replacing and charging station and large areas it covers, low efficiency and so on. By building an effective model, this paper brings up a conceptual design of an automatic system of replacing and charging batteries for electric vehicles with the late-model design of the multi-station device. By observing the effect of the experimental device, it can solve the problems mentioned above, but more should be done to improve it. This design, the demo system, mainly includes electric vehicle model system, replacing and charging station system and GPS navigation system, and it performs excellent in experiment.

In view of the massive transmission lines suffered disaster of ice coating at the beginning of 2008 in south China. In this paper, several typical schemes for the prevention and treatment of ice coating occurred in power networks home and abroad are analyzed. Common melting ice methods can be divided into three kinds: thermal ice-melting, mechanical de-icing and new de-icing. This paper describes a 500 kV transmission line and analyses each of these measures briefly. At the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of various measures and their applications were summarized. At last, the development trend and the research direction were pointed out.

In recent years, artificial intelligence supported by big data has gradually become more dependent on deep reinforcement learning. However, the application of deep reinforcement learning in artificial intelligence is limited by prior knowledge and model selection, which further affects the efficiency and accuracy of prediction, and also fails to realize the learning ability of autonomous learning and prediction. Metalearning came into being because of this. Through learning the information metaknowledge, the ability to autonomously judge and select the appropriate model can be formed, and the parameters can be adjusted independently to achieve further optimization. It is a novel method to solve big data problems in the current neural network model, and it adapts to the development trend of artificial intelligence. This article first briefly introduces the research process and basic theory of metalearning and discusses the differences between metalearning and machine learning and the research direction of metalearning in big data. Then, four typical applications of metalearning in the field of artificial intelligence are summarized: few-shot learning, robot learning, unsupervised learning, and intelligent medicine. Then, the challenges and solutions of metalearning are analyzed. Finally, a systematic summary of the full text is made, and the future development prospect of this field is assessed.

Energy plays an important role in human society. With the development of science and technology, the increasing demand for new energy like electric energy cannot be ignored. The battery is the key component of electric vehicles which are the centers of future development. Lithium-ion batteries have great advantages in electric vehicle applications for their excellent performance. We need to find ways to improve lithium-ion batteries to promote the development of electric vehicles fundamentally. The high specific energy, low self-discharge, good cycling performance, no memory effect, and other advantages lead to the excellent performance of lithium-ion batteries. This paper reviews the unique merits of lithium-ion batteries compared with other important battery technologies in electric vehicle application in three main aspects and describes some methods to enhance the performance of lithium-ion batteries by improving the anode, cathode, and electrolyte, respectively. For instance, we can use LiNi1-x-yCoxMnyO2 (NCM) materials as cathode, silicon-based materials as anode with composite materials like FeOOH@rGO and SiNP@NC add more silicon in the composite anode structure and silicon nanowire anode to improve its mechanical stability. Also, with an example of their employment in the BMW i3 94 Ah vehicles, the application outlook of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles and their development trend in the future have been prospected. Although electric vehicles are becoming the ideal next-generation vehicles with the increasing environmental friendliness, the battery technology, such as its safety problem and the manufacturing cost, etc., remains a big challenge in the development of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles.
