The 3D model of machine tool column of NC gear shaper is created in Pro/E. This model is imported into the HyperWorks by STEP file. The column structural static stress and deformation, the five-step modal natural frequencies and mode of vibration are obtained by Hyper Works static and dynamic analysis. Based on the analysis results, this study offers a kind of reference comments for the design and improvement of machine tool column of the gear shaper.

The modal analysis and harmonic response analysis of the machine tool table with periodic truss-core structures are analyzed and calculated by finite element analysis software-ANSYS Workbench, then we get the finite element analysis results. After comparing the results with finite element analysis results of the original machine tool table, we come to the conclusion that the dynamic properties of the machine tool table with periodic truss-core structures are better than the original machine tool table’s. It makes a base for optimized design and remanufacturing.

This paper studies natural frequencies and mode shapes of a glide head with a piezoelectric transducer (PZT) through calibrated experiments and a finite element analysis. In the experiments, the PZT transducer served as an actuator exciting the glide head from 100 kHz to 1.3 MHz, and a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) measured displacement of the glide head at the inner or outer rail. The natural frequencies were measured through PZT impedance and frequency response functions from PZT to LDV. In the finite element analysis, the glide head was meshed by brick elements. The finite element results show that there are two types of vibration modes: slider modes and PZT modes. Only the slider modes are important to glide head applications. Moreover, natural frequencies predicted from the finite element analysis agree well with the experimental results within 5% of error. Finally, the finite element analysis identifies four critical slider dimensions whose tolerance will significantly vary the natural frequencies: PZT bonding length, wing thickness, slider thickness, and air bearing recess depth.

In this study, the change of the natural frequencies in mouse femurs with osteoporosis was investigated based on a vibration test and a finite element. Three groups of the femurs include the osteoporotic group, the treated group and the normal group. In the vibration test, the natural frequencies were measured by the mobility test. For the finite element analysis, the micro finite element model of the femur was reconstructed using the Micro-CT images and the Voxel mesh generation algorithm. From the results, the averaged natural frequencies in the osteoporotic group were the highest, followed by those in the treated group. The finite element models were validated within 15% errors by comparing the natural frequencies in the finite element analysis with those in the vibration test. The developed Micro-CT system, the Voxel mesh generation algorithm, the presented finite element analysis, and vibration test could be useful for the investigation of the structural change of the bone tissue, and the diagnosis and the treatment in the osteoporosis.

The linear rolling guideway is one of the most essential parts of the machine tool. So it is very important to analyze the dynamic-static characteristic of the machine tool consider rolling guideway and to study the effect on machinery function. The paper’s research is based on a NC machine tool produced by a certain plant of machine tools. Methods of simulating the rolling guideway support are studied, and the configuration of the spring damper elements of the bearing supports are also studied, and the finite element analysis on the CKS6125 machine tool has been made to confirm its dynamic characteristics. Then the finite element analysis models are validated by some experiments.

This paper primarily simulates the heat exchange part’s stress and strain situation under the load of temperature and gravity and their coupling impact aiming at obtaining the stress and deformation distribution. The authors took advantage of the method of the finite element analysis to study the stress and strain situation. Through the analysis, each part of the transfer’s stress and strain can be calculated. The conclusion of this paper provides the basis for the further enhancement of the machine life and optimization of the structure design.

The study aims to explore the preparation of aviation mechanical carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) and the properties of CFRP composites. Taking the aero box body as an example, the mechanical properties of CFRP are studied. The preparation of CFRP is analyzed by searching the data. CFRP plates are explored according to the stress analysis of composite materials. The finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench and UG software are adopted to build the 3D model of the aero box body. After adding materials in ANSYS Workbench and simplifying the UG model, the finite element analysis of the model is carried out by computer. The 3D model of the aero box is constructed, the finite element analysis of the aero box is carried out, and the mechanical properties of CFRP are explored. In this study, the possibility of the practical application of CFRP in the aviation box body lightweight is clarified, which gives a direction for the subsequent actual molding and guides the application of CFRP in aviation field.

The finite element model of the combined vibrating screen was established by using ANSYS. Modal characteristic analysis and static analysis on the whole unit of screen box were done, and natural frequencies and modal shapes in the top 15 orders were obtained, distribution regularities of stress and deformation of each part of the screen box under the static load were revealed, providing the necessary basis for the improvement design and research on screen box.

A large flexible vibration isolation structure is presented in this thesis, and experimental modal test based on the finite element analysis is carried out in order to find out the vibration characteristics of it. Results show that the natural frequencies and mode shapes calculated by finite element method basically conform to those measured from experimental modal test. Some suggestion to vibration active control in further research is also provided.

First a 3D model for frictional roller of endless-rope winch was established with Pro/E software. And then the model was imported into finite element software named ANSYS Workbench, by which, the stress and deformation distribution of frictional roller could be acquired after meshing and loading. Next by making use of the Design Explorer module of ANSYS Workbench software, the paper analyzed the sensitivity of the major structure parameters which influence the roller strength. On the foundation of sensitivity analysis, these parameters were optimized to make the structure of the frictional roller more reasonable and meeting the design requirements.
