A novel WSNS (wireless sensor network sniffer) is used to analyze and evaluate the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) effectively, which is designed to monitor IEEE 802.15.4 protocol frame of the Ethernet. Unlike the existed monitoring system, this design has higher efficiency and needs less resource. It is analyzed in this paper that the monitor network framework, time synchronization, and analysis program design. The results show that WSNS can real time display the monitored frame and dynamic changes of WSN topology.

In wireless sensor networks, for improving the time synchronization perfromance of online monitoring and application of ZigBee protocol, a scheme is designed. For this objective, first of all, the ZigBee protocol specification is summarized, a profound analysis of the hardware abstraction architecture of TinyOS operating system is made; the advantages of the ZigBee protocol compared with the traditional radio technology are comparatively analyzed. At the same time, the node design block diagram based on CC2430 and related development system is provided. In the TinyOS2.x operating system, we analyze CC2430 application program abstract architecture, and on this basis, give the realization process of program design. The research results showed that we achieve an on-line monitoring system based on ZigBee protocol, which has realistic significance of applying ZigBee protocol in wireless sensor network of electrical equipment online monitoring. Based on the above research, it is concluded that the online monitoring system can collect the temperature parameters of the monitored object in real time that it can be widely applied in wireless sensor networks.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) has been paid more and more attention to by the international academic and industrial fields. What’s more, it has become a hot research topic with great attention and expectations. There are a lot of technical problems involved in wireless sensor networks, among which, time synchronization technology is one of the supporting technologies in wireless sensor networks. And it is rather essential for the application of wireless sensor network. Two classical time synchronization algorithms are introduced and their advantages and disadvantages are compared. Based on the existing algorithms, an improved time synchronization algorithm is put forward. The improved algorithm was simulated by NS2. The results showed that the proposed algorithm had better time synchronization accuracy and lower network cost than RBS and TPSN algorithm. In summary, the improved time synchronization algorithm has a rather good performance.

Among the classes of wireless personal area networks, a wireless sensor network typically refers to a versatile and densely distributed sensing platform that enables the support of a wide variety of application domains. Among the various technical challenges addressed by more than one decade of research in wireless sensor networks, security across wireless links is by far one of the most critical ones and relates to the need of guaranteeing reliability and trustiness of the collected data. This article deals with the cryptographic aspects involved in securing wireless sensor networks, in terms of confidentiality and authentication. In particular, moving from some results previously achieved in our research activity, this article extends a cryptography scheme in order to better comply with the security requirements that arise from real-world wireless sensor network installations. The proposed scheme, called topology-authenticated key scheme 2, takes advantage of hybrid cryptography to provide security in the presence of resource-constrained sensor nodes using topology-authenticated keys to provide increased robustness to the scheme itself. The proposed extensions provide full practical support to star-topology wireless sensor networks and the article presents also some experimental results obtained by implementing the scheme on two different wireless sensor network platforms available for protocol stacks compliant with the IEEE 802.15.4 standard.
