In this paper, through dealing with the leakage protection of underground engineering,do the research in leakage protection problems of groundwater seepage caused by concrete cracks and foundation settlement in underground concrete engineering,for the structure with different crack leakage protection in different methods, is discussed in aspects of material selection, construction process.Especially for the water leakage problem of the concrete structure,the settlement of the structure caused by the settlement joint and the stretching of expansion joint caused by the air shrinkage and temperature change of concrete.Change the past with rigid material plugging, by reasonable selection of material, the comprehensive application of the rigid and flexible materials,to solve the problem of water leakage caused by structure settlement joint and expansion joint, so as to solve deformation instability problem on the structure of settlement joint and expansion joint after leakage.

The need for environmentally compliant processes and materials in the Painting Industry grows more pressing every day. As the need for these processes grows, so grows the confusion regarding the selection and implementation of these new methods and materials. In the past, price and traditional procedure were the only criteria by which a material was procured. Speed and compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturer specification governed how things were done on the shop floor. With the advent of the environmental regulations, processes are being examined all across the globe. In many of the larger companies, the chief environmental officer has as important a role as the comptroller or Chief Financial Officer. Environmental managers are often not chemists or line painters, and typically, the environmental manager is skilled only in the policies of waste disposal, spill clean up, or remediation. The methods whereby a company can minimize the generation of hazardous waste remain less familiar. Often the examination of possible alternate techniques and materials are left for the last minute, or are conducted by personnel who are unfamiliar with how to make changes work. This is usually a recipe for failure in the implementing of anything new. This paper will suggest methods for selection of alternative products and processes in a clear and organized manner. Salient discussion points will be: 1. Process Examination 2. Material Selection 3. Steps For Successful Implementation 4. Possible Impediments 5. How to Avoid Risky Alternatives It will focus on procedures that will assist in the decision making process, and hopefully be of use in the choosing of environmentally sound equipment, chemicals, and methodologies.

Combined with canopy structure design of a old-man university, this paper introduces the selection of scheme, material selection and Load value of fan-shape variable height four pyramid grid structure. Using the software ANSYS, finite element model of grid structure is established, and internal force and deformation of the members are got, the bearing capacity of the members and structural deformation are checked, finally design and construction for the node of members and the detail of structure are given, these can provide references for the design of similar engineering.

Abstract Stainless steel expansion joint, as the connecting part of GIS equipment, has the function of compensating the deformation of GIS caused by cold and hot stress. And it should at least meet the requirements of anti-corrosion and non-magnetic according to the working environment. This work investigate the performance of 304, 316L and 825 austenitic stainless steel expansion joints by metallographic analysis, hardness test, XRD analysis and magnetic analysis, and suggestions on material selection of expansion joint for power grid equipment are put forward.

In the past few decades, there has been lot of focus on the issue of sustainability. This has occurred due to the growing concerns related to climate change and the growing awareness about environmental concerns. Also, the competition at global level has led to the search for the most sustainable route in the industries. The current research work deals with the selection of green supplier in a Nickle coating industry based on certain weighted green attributes. For this purpose, a hybrid tool comprising of Fuzzy AHP (Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy) and VIKOR (VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) is used. The Fuzzy AHP is used for assigning proper weights to the selected criteria for supplier evaluation, while VIKOR is used for final supplier selection based on the weighted criteria. The three criterions for green supplier selection are, Ecological packaging, Corporate socio-environmental responsibility and Staff Training. The outcome of the integrated model may serve as a steppingstone to other SMEs in different sectors for selecting the most suitable supplier for addressing the sustainability issue.

Evidence-based assessment relies on research and theory to inform the selection of constructs to be assessed for a specific assessment purpose, the methods and measures to be used in the assessment, and the manner in which the assessment process unfolds. An evidence-based approach to clinical assessment necessitates the recognition that, even when evidence-based instruments are used, the assessment process is a decision-making task in which hypotheses must be iteratively formulated and tested. In this chapter, we review (a) the progress that has been made in developing an evidence-based approach to clinical assessment in the past decade and (b) the many challenges that lie ahead if clinical assessment is to be truly evidence-based.

AbstractUsing brain atlases to localize regions of interest is a requirement for making neuroscientifically valid statistical inferences. These atlases, represented in volumetric or surface coordinate spaces, can describe brain topology from a variety of perspectives. Although many human brain atlases have circulated the field over the past fifty years, limited effort has been devoted to their standardization. Standardization can facilitate consistency and transparency with respect to orientation, resolution, labeling scheme, file storage format, and coordinate space designation. Our group has worked to consolidate an extensive selection of popular human brain atlases into a single, curated, open-source library, where they are stored following a standardized protocol with accompanying metadata, which can serve as the basis for future atlases. The need to develop an in vitro method to simulate ruminal digestion of protein foods has long been recognized. An in vitro method must be more rapid, consistent and convenient than in sacco methods. Purified enzymes have been examined in the past to estimate in vitro degradability of protein foods (Poos-Floyd et al., 1985; Aufrere et al., 1991; Luchini et al., 1996) or their fractions (Chaudhry and Webster, 1994). However, the selection of an appropriate enzyme for a range of foodstuffs remains to be realized. This study examined the potential of two enzymes and a centrifuged rumen fluid (CRF) to estimate proteolysis of food proteins.
