With the emergence and development of BIM (Building Information Modeling), traditional architectural design pattern have had great changes. By analyzing the trend and technical content of BIM and taking the Step Vision for example, this paper presents the application of BIM as a new concept in the design and further discusses the advantages and disadvantages in architecture design.

Improving the competitiveness of Russian industrial enterprises (including the construction industry) is a priority task at the current stage of development of the country’s economy. The purpose of this study is to develop methodological tools that would allow building strategic plans for the development of a construction company using a dynamic method for assessing its competitiveness. The hypothesis is that the target parameters of the development of a construction company, which take into account the influence of competitive factors, inevitably increase its level. This article provides an analytical review of existing methods for assessing the competitiveness of enterprises, identifies their advantages and disadvantages. The authors have chosen the dynamic approach to assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise; they propose certain aspects of its modernization, taking into account the specifics of construction production; the main indicators and algorithms used in this approach are presented. The competitiveness of the PIK group, Russia’s largest construction company, was evaluated in comparison with the Swedish development company Skanska Group, which is successful on the world market. The most problematic performance indicators of the Russian company that have a negative impact on its competitiveness are identified. Modeling of the dependence of the company’s competitiveness level on these indicators is performed. The results show that the key tool for eliminating these shortcomings can be the introduction of integrated information modeling based on big data for the entire development cycle: building information modeling — BIM (Building Information Modeling), augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies, and customer relationship management systems (CRM), among some others. The authors show how the key performance indicators of the company change after the introduction of integrated information modeling of the entire development cycle and what the forecast level of the company’s competitiveness can be expected at the end of 2020.

The Computer Models Of Buildings That Contain All The Information About Future Facilities, Which Is Called BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technologies, Took An Important Place In Architectural Offices And Architectural Design. By Means Of BIM Technologies, The Main Groups Of Specialists Had A Chance To Collaborate From The Very Beginning Of The Creation Of The Building Model And Its Use Up To The End Of The Design Of The Building. Since The 1960s, Computer Programs Were Mainly For Drawing, But With BIM Technologies, It Is Possible To Present A Virtual Reality Of A Building Process. Since It Is Extremely Important To Select Suitable Software To Perform The Analysis And Design In Building Tasks, With The Existence Of Much-Specialized Software In These Domains, In This Paper, Based On The Investigations Performed Especially For The Last Decade Developments And Added Capabilities, A Guideline For Architects And Engineers Is Presented. In This Regard Many Software Were Evaluated And The Most Useful Used Ones Such As Graphisoft Archicad, Autodesk Revit Architecture, Gehry Tech., Nemetschek Allplan Architecture, TAD, Nemetschek Vectorworks Architect, Digital Project Designer, Microstation, Dynamo Studio, Freecad Architecture, Sketchup Software Are Recommended To Be Employed In Analysis And Design Of Buildings. Employing The Recommended Software, Not Only Facilitate The Teamwork In Design But Also Increase The Performance Of The Design

Civil engineering is considered to be the area with the highest occurrence of occupational injuries. Workers perform plenty of activities that endanger their health and put them at risk of occupational injuries and diseases. There are many convincing proves that dangerous risk situations appear already in the early stages of project proposals. On the basis of this fact we can estimate that one of the most effective methods of preventing and reducing occupational injuries is elimination of potential risk at the very beginning, i.e. already in the architectural design. Information models BIM enable us to simulate the overall situation of the project both structurally and visually. Thanks to this fact we can prevent multiple problems occurring not only during the realisation phase, but during the usage of buildings as well.

Building information modeling (BIM) has long been utilized in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) education. Learning and teaching (L & T) research has revealed a range of shortcomings in using BIM such as unfamiliarity of students and graduates with real-world field operations and decision making processes. Better visualization of BIM via augmented reality (AR) is an innovative educational approach that can address the aforementioned problems. This paper, proposes AR-powered BIM as a robust platform to be adopted in the AEC education with the aim of improving student experience and learning. After discussing advantages and disadvantages of BIM and AR as two separate platforms, opportunities and challenges to combine the two are investigated. This work contributes to the body of knowledge in the field of AEC education by investigating the dynamics of using AR-powered BIM in curriculum design.

This study is devoted to the problem of digital transformation in the construction industry. To solve the proposed emerging approach for integrating information flows based on Building information modeling (BIM). This research describes the advanced methodology for creating a unified information model in construction, which combines architectural, design, engineering, cost and depreciation models of a construction object, raises a number of problems of reorganizing business processes at enterprises. The novelty of the research lies in the model of adapted common data environment based on life cycle of a construction project by stages of implementation and emergence of information. The proposed architecture is a platform for intelligent parametric modeling as intelligent CAD, which allows linking all elements of the model "Digital Enterprise".The result of the study is a conceptual mechanism for improving the efficiency of enterprise management processes based on the architectural approach in terms of digitalization of construction. Emerging technology in the study is the architecture of the intelligent decision support system in construction based on 5D BIMtechnology and Digital Enterprise. The main advantage of the proposed approach is the possibility of multiple reuse of information by all participants in the development and implementation of an investment and construction project without changes and distortions of data about the construction object. Keywords — Building Information Modeling, BIM, Digital Enterprise, Common Data Environment, life cycle of construction project, digitalization of construction
