This study is devoted to the problem of digital transformation in the construction industry. To solve the proposed emerging approach for integrating information flows based on Building information modeling (BIM). This research describes the advanced methodology for creating a unified information model in construction, which combines architectural, design, engineering, cost and depreciation models of a construction object, raises a number of problems of reorganizing business processes at enterprises. The novelty of the research lies in the model of adapted common data environment based on life cycle of a construction project by stages of implementation and emergence of information. The proposed architecture is a platform for intelligent parametric modeling as intelligent CAD, which allows linking all elements of the model "Digital Enterprise".The result of the study is a conceptual mechanism for improving the efficiency of enterprise management processes based on the architectural approach in terms of digitalization of construction. Emerging technology in the study is the architecture of the intelligent decision support system in construction based on 5D BIMtechnology and Digital Enterprise. The main advantage of the proposed approach is the possibility of multiple reuse of information by all participants in the development and implementation of an investment and construction project without changes and distortions of data about the construction object. Keywords — Building Information Modeling, BIM, Digital Enterprise, Common Data Environment, life cycle of construction project, digitalization of construction

The transformation of a conventional enterprise from a people-centric model to a technology-centric one has important implications for its human workforce. In this chapter, the authors look at three representative people-related focus areas for the digital enterprise, enhancing workplace wellbeing, enabling continuous learning and compliance to information security. They discuss each of these problems and then look at the technological infrastructure a digital enterprise would require to manage these areas.

This study aims to examine changes in enterprise management during the COVID-19 pandemic and develop a universal mechanism for managing digital transformation. Its methodological basis is represented by a terminological analysis of the concepts of automation, digitalisation and digital transformation. Their close consideration enables us to form a conceptual scheme of business digitalisation. In sum, the study process shows that full-fledged and fruitful digital transformation can be achieved through restructuring a company’s business process management system. By comparing the outcomes of using digital platform-based business models, the most promising one was selected for use. Its practical application was studied in Azerbaijan, Russia, and Switzerland using the Network Readiness Index (NRI). The analysis made it possible to form business development strategies for each country reviewed and to develop a universal mechanism for digital transformation management by means of optimisation and modelling. The findings suggest that in pandemic settings, digital enterprise management concentrates on survival, self-learning and cooperation without intermediaries through innovation and the transformation of business processes. The strategies can be used to adopt digital technologies and attract investment. Further research can be directed at detailing the proposed mechanism.

The scientific paper summarizes the definition and structures of main and secondary activities, the value chain, the means of carrying out the cooperation of the economic environment with research as a necessity for increasing innovation in digital enterprises in Romania and the research results and contributions on mechatronic and cyber-mixmechatronic systems, technological platforms - cobotic platforms, platform networks and networks of technology and cobotic platform networks for the digital enterprise and for the smart industry as a whole (4.0). These concepts and constructive robots that have emerged as results of the research efforts in INCDMTM are presented concretely, as an important part in the realization of some of the parts of the digital enterprise and of the intelligent industry.

Due to the increased complexities and operating speeds of today’s and tomorrow’s system-of-systems (SoS) architectural configurations for digital enterprises, the design of new domain architecture management systems is required. A key element of these new designs will be the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) microservices to provide dynamically containerized and orchestrated service capabilities within a lightweight interoperability fabric with the ability to operate in hard-real-time environments. Each containerized AI microservice exposes an independent, programmable function, which enables it to be easily reused, evolved, or replaced without compromising interoperability across critical mission essential functions to execute mission threads. In addition, embedded in this design needs to be a trust management layer to enforce reliable messaging and trust amongst the actors. This paper provides a framework for planned research and demonstrates the feasibility of microservices using a representative simple problem to demonstrate the application of the framework. Early positive analysis results using AI microservices within an SoS environment shows that the 500 milli-second (ms) threshold for latency can be met.

The current crisis and the accelerated economic development both require new methods and technologies in order to plan the development of socio-economic and business entities. Digital transformation proved extremely effective in improving economic performance. Digital transformation requires an executable strategy that can help the economy to reach the target state by distributing available resources in priority areas. The economic system is ready for digital transformation if it possesses an appropriate external environment. The article introduces an authentic approach to the analysis of the processes at the core of the regional economy. The research featured the case of the socio-economic system of the Kemerovo region. It included a comprehensive assessment of the region’s viability in creating a favorable business environment at the early stage of digital transformation. To prevent economic stagnation, the leading regional enterprises should introduce capital-intensive technologies and conduct digital business transformation. Such poles of growth can open access to digital technologies for small and medium-sized businesses, thereby ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of the region. New IT ecosystems are the key to successful digital transformation as they implement a systematic approach to decision-making, as well as such technologies of knowledge-driven economy as predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, etc. The paper also contains recommendations for the development of a consolidated information area on a digital enterprise.

Abstract Background and Purpose: The growing role and involvement of Artificial Intelligence in modern digital enterprises leads to a considerable reduction of personnel and reorientation of the remaining staff to new responsibilities. However, in many areas like services and support the total elimination of the employed human resources still remains impossible. It is proposed to study the organisational problem of finding the optimal proportion of computer agents and human actors in the mixed collaborative environment. Methods: Using the technology of semantic and statistical analysis, we developed an original model of computer agents’ and human actors’ cooperative interaction and an optimization method, which is novel in considering the focus of the executors while calculating the compliance indicators. Results: The problem was studied by an example of service desk automation. Considering the semantics of the problem domain in the form of ontology introduces the logic for better distribution and automation of tasks. Conclusion: In a modern digital enterprise there exists and can be estimated a rational balance between the computer agents and human actors, which becomes a significant indicator of its performance. In general, human actors are preferable for processing unpredictable events in real time, while agents are better at the modelling and simulation.
