In order to solve the force deformation of the hydrostatic center frame in the heavy type horizontal lathe, a simulation research concerning pressure field of hydrostatic center frame was described. The Finite Volume Method of CFX has been used to compute three-dimensional pressure field of gap fluid between the rotation workpiece and bearing pillow. This research theoretically analyzes the influence of angular velocity on the bearing pressure performance according to lubricating theory and computational fluid dynamics, and it has revealed its pressure distribution law of gap oil film. The simulation results indicate that an improved characteristic will be affected by rotating velocity easily, and oil cavity pressure creases by gradually with rotating velocity enhancing. Through this method, it can provide reasonable data for design, lubrication, experience and force deformation computation for hydrostatic center frame in the heavy type horizontal lathe.

This work describes a simulation research concerning dynamic effect of multi-pad hydrostatic thrust bearing having rectangular recess, sector recess, ellipse recess and I-shaped recess in order to solve the loading capacity of the hydrostatic thrust bearing. Three-dimensional pressure field of gap fluid between the rotation worktable and the base has been computed by using the Finite Volume Method. This study theoretically analyzes the influence of recess shape on dynamic effect of the bearing according to computational fluid dynamics and lubricating theory, and the simulation results indicate that an improved characteristic will be affected by recess shape easily. Through this method, the safety of a multi-pad hydrostatic thrust bearing having different cavities can be forecasted, and the optimal loading capacity of such products can be achieved, so it can provide reasonable data for design, lubrication, experience and thermal deformation computation for hydrostatic thrust bearing.

CFX of ANSYS has been used to compute three-dimensional pressure field of gap fluid between workpiece and bearing pillow. This research analyzes the influence of rotation speed on the bearing pressure performance according to lubricating theory and computational fluid dynamics, and it has revealed its pressure distribution law of gap oil film. Results indicate that an improved characteristic will be affected by rotation speed easily, and oil cavity pressure increases by gradually with rotation speed enhancing. The reliability of a hydrostatic center rest can be predicted through this method.

In order to increase the working performance of a heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest, a theoretical study concerning the lubricating oil film dynamic pressure effect of the heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest is described. The Computational Fluid Dynamics and the Finite Volume Method have been used to compute numerically the static pressure field and the total pressure field of the lubricating oil film. The influences of spindle rotating rate, lubricating oil dynamic viscosity and inlet flow rate on the lubricating oil film dynamic pressure effect of the heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest were analyzed based on the computational fluid dynamics and lubrication theory, and the influencing laws were revealed. By means of this method, the reasonable data can be provided for reasonably controlling dynamic pressure and structure optimal design of the heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest.

This paper builds three-dimensional finite volume models for 4 different mufflers. Internal flow numerical analysis for mufflers is carried out with computational fluid dynamics software. Velocity field and pressure field are obtained to analyze the airflow influences on muffler performances. The corresponding regularities are obtained from simulation results, which provide a method for design optimization of mufflers.

In order to study the effect of salinity wastewater discharging ways on the range of salt content rise nearby the outfall. Two three-dimensional numerical models of discharging ways which were single-port submerged-type and double-port submerged-type in the condition of subcritical flow were researched based on FLUENT. The range of salt content rise of the two discharging ways could be concluded according to the simulation results. The value of maximum salt concentration and average salt concentration of two discharging ways were compared and analyzed. The results showed that double-port submerged-type discharging way was better than single-port submerged-type discharging way.

Taking multi-oil-cavity and multi-oil-pad hydrostatic bearings as studied projects, firstly make brief instructions for structure characteristics and working principal of hydraulic system; Then, build three-dimensional models of multi-oil-cavity and multi-oil-pad hydrostatic bearings respectively. Adopting finite volume method, oil film mesh is generated by universal finite analysis software CFD; then, carry on numerical simulations for pressure distribution and temperature distribution of the two studied hydrostatic thrust bearing under various viscosity, and make comparative analysis for difference between the two studied hydrostatic thrust bearing. Based on the analysis of numerical simulation results, the conclusions whether oil-return groove is set for hydrostatic bearing could be received. Simulation results reveal truly the influence of setting oil-return groove or not on hydrostatic thrust bearing, and improve structure design for hydrostatic thrust bearing.

In order to increase load capacity of a heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest, a theoretical study concerning the lubrication performance of the heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest is described. The Computational Fluid Dynamics and the Finite Volume Method have been used to compute lubrication characteristics, such as the recess pressure and the oil flow state. The influences of oil-returning slot on the load capacity of the heavy constant flow hydrostatic center rest was analyzed based on the computational fluid dynamics and lubrication theory, and the influencing laws were revealed. Through this method, the reasonable data can be provided for optimal design and lubrication performance improving of the constant flow hydrostatic center rest in the heavy equipment.
