According to traffic safety factor analysis of freeway entrances and exits, this paper use traffic behavior and traffic conflict theory, select the number of conflicts as the evaluation index, use SSAM software to analyze the safety factors in freeway entrance area. On this basis, this paper put forward recommendations about intersection traffic safety design.

Curved section is one of the sections where happened extraordinarily serious traffic accidents in China. Until now, one kind of the traffic safety evaluation method based on the accident indexes, the other based on the non-accident indexes, just as the traffic conflict technique. But there are difficulties in collecting data when the evaluation of traffic safety on specific road sections is applied. So, one safety evaluation method for the curved sections is putting forward, in which the deviation value between the driving track and safe trajectory is used as the evaluation index, and the gray evaluation method is applied. The case study shows that, the method in this paper could be a new way for traffic safety evaluation.

Currently, several traffic conflict indicators are used as surrogate safety measures. Each indicator has its own advantages, limitations, and suitability. There are only a few studies focusing on fixed object conflicts of highway safety estimation using traffic conflict technique. This study investigated which conflict indicator was more suitable for traffic safety estimation based on conflict-accident Pearson correlation analysis. First, a high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle was used to collect multiple continuous high-precision videos of the Jinan-Qingdao highway. The vehicle trajectory data outputted from recognition of the videos were used to acquire conflict data following the procedure for each conflict indicator. Then, an improved indicator Ti was proposed based on the advantages and limitations of the conventional indicators. This indicator contained definitions and calculation for three types of traffic conflicts (rear-end, lane change and with fixed object). Then the conflict-accident correlation analysis of TTC (Time to Collision)/PET (Post Encroachment Time)/DRAC (Deceleration Rate to Avoid Crash)/Ti indicators were carried out. The results show that the average value of the correlation coefficient for each indicator with different thresholds are 0.670 for TTC, 0.669 for PET, and 0.710 for DRAC, and 0.771 for Ti, which Ti indicator is obviously higher than the other three conventional indicators. The findings of this study suggest TTC often fails to identify lane change conflicts, PET indicator easily misjudges some rear-end conflict when the speed of the following vehicle is slower than the leading vehicle, and PET is less informative than other indicators. At the same time, these conventional indicators do not consider the vehicle-fixed objects conflicts. The improved Ti can overcome these shortcomings; thus, Ti has the highest correlation. More data are needed to verify and support the study.

Finland is the first country that formulates the design policy, and these successful experience and lessons are deserved to be focused and studied. This paper has a research on the Finnish policy index with the factor analysis approach and Delphi Method, and sorts out the opinions of policy planners, building the index system of design policy which is used to evaluate the effectiveness and result of Finnish design policy, and then studies the exterior policy environment where design innovation drives the development of country, and provides important reference for the system summary, the effectiveness, problem and tendency of the Finnish design policy.

The mainstream rollover evaluation index, lateral load transfer rate (LTR), is commonly used in the rollover control field. However, it is not instant enough to reflect the rollover tendency since it can only reflect the load transfer rate of one side wheels while single rear wheel leaves the ground first during rollover happens. In order to monitor the rollover tendency more instantly and improve the reliability of anti-rollover control system, a new evaluation index called predictive vertical tire force (PVTF) is proposed, which is based on the single vertical tire force and merges both iterative prediction and derivative prediction methods. Meanwhile, an optimization is taken to solve the contradiction between prediction time and deviation. Secondly, using the PVTF as the measurement output, an anti-rollover control system based on active steering is established in this paper. In order to achieve the desired tracking effect and anti-jamming capability, a two-way H∞ controller is adopted in the anti-rollover control system. Lastly, the simulation results of J-turn condition and NHTSA (national highway traffic safety administration) condition are conducted and the results indicate that the anti-rollover control system has strong stability and robustness. Meanwhile, benefit from the pre-warning function of PVTF, the controller is triggered earlier and the vertical tire forces of four wheels are controlled to be positive all the time, which is beneficial for handling stability.

LPD’s (lighting power density) definition, calculation method, standard value, influence factors and ways to reduce it are talked in this article. The aim is to take measures to reduce LPD properly. LPD should be less than standard value while guaranteeing traffic safety, average and uniformity road surface luminance. Then a road lighting system of energy-saving should be built as soon as possible.

By establishing the high-tech industry competitiveness evaluation index system, we apply the factor analysis and cluster analysis methods to evaluation and analysis on high-tech industry competitiveness in East China of six provinces and one city. The result shows that the comprehensive score of Fujian stands at the lower level in the whole country, but the efficiency ability, innovation and effect ability factors rank up the average level. So we suggest that Government should adjust the industrial and regional structure, develop the high-tech industry branding and standardized and so on to promote the development of the high-tech industry and then improve its competitiveness in Fujian.
