A digital storage oscilloscope module in automatic test equipment was designed based on PIX bus. The field programmable gate array (FPGA) is used as the logic control unit. The circuit of high speed ADC and FPGA interface, clock management, and high speed data access were designed based on hardware modules. The digital storage oscilloscope module was successfully applied to the practical test system, whose performance was good, stable, and achieved the desired design goals.

The large-capacity, high-speed and low power consumption become the new requirements for the data storage systems. In this paper, a high-performance storage module based on multiple NAND flash memory chips is presented to real-time massive data acquisition system. In order to achieve the miniaturization dimension and the high-speed data storage design requirements, the paper presents a small size and high-speed storage unit based on NAND flash, where the dimensions of the module can reach 33mm×33mm and the maximum rate is up to 60MB/s. Ensuring continuous and reliable operation requires a dedicated buffering for the data transmission. We analyze the elements and peculiarities of the flash memory chip and propose a multi-way architecture to speed up data access. The design of a multilevel high-speed buffer structure based on the field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology is introduced in the paper. The proposed system can be applicable to some portable digital equipment.

In order to improve the detecting efficiency of the Hall vehicle speed sensor, an improved detection system was presented in this paper. This system was consists of five parts of system manager, A/D converter, D/A converter, voltage comparator, and a high-speed programmable counter array. The quality of Hall vehicle speed sensor online was evaluated, and the statistical result was graphically displayed by PC. Compared with the synchronous detection of digital storage oscilloscope, it is shown that the detecting accuracy of the system can then meet the requirements of industrial production, and will be suitable for mass production.

A kind of portable digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) is developed in this paper. It builds trigger, storage, measurement module for embedded system with programmable logic resource of FPGA chip. The external digital circuits of a digital oscilloscope is achieved. And it saves a lot of cost by implanting NIOS II soft-core processor as the control unit of the system in the FPGA. This system has the function of automatic frequency control (AFC) and automatic gain control (AGC), and it can measure the signal conveniently.

This paper describes the design of an intelligent multi-gyro measurement device to measure and monitor an inertial unit composed of three dynamically tuned gyros (DTGs). A 16-bit microprogrammed control unit is programmed to fulfill the functions of signal processing, logic control and serial communication with a master computer. An FPGA, designed by using Verilog Hardware Description Language, is used to realize high speed 16-bit reversible counters for output pulses of the DTG digital dynamic balance circuits. The count values represent the angular motion of the inertial unit. A stepping electric bridge is employed to measure the resistance of thermal resistors within the gyros in a wide temperature environment. The resistance represents the working temperature of the gyros. An effective calibration method for the bridge is developed to eliminate the resistance measurement error. A test system is established to examine whether the device meets the user requirements. Results of the tests show that the device has a good performance. A trial use has proved that the device is stable and reliable and that it satisfies the demand of the user.
