The system goal is fixed as the choice and optimization of passenger travel-transfer station. Then the inquire method of all kinds of travel schedules is proposed and Railway Passenger Travel Aided Decision System(RPTADS) is developed with WEBGIS. The aim of the system is to provide the query result to passengers, and the optimal route will be displayed on the map intuitively, which make the synchronous connection reality between the text inquiry result and the map specific display. In addition, the timetable database of railway passenger transportation could be renewed timely by background decision software according to line conditions.

To predict the passenger travel sharing rate in the inter-city comprehensive passenger traffic channels, the passenger transport properties of the inter-city comprehensive passenger transport channels were combined, variables with different characteristics were introduced into utility function, the application of Logit model was improved, the comprehensive passenger transport channels of Guangzhou-Huizhou, Shenzhen-Huizhou, Dongguan-Huizhou were taken as examples to conduct the prediction applications of the passenger travel sharing in the railway passenger transportation, highway passenger transportation and non-commercial transportation. The results showed that the improved model could effectively carry out the passenger travel share prediction in inter-city comprehensive passenger transport channels.

Large-scale population movements can turn local diseases into widespread epidemics. Grasping the characteristic of the population flow in the context of the COVID-19 is of great significance for providing information to epidemiology and formulating scientific and reasonable prevention and control policies. Especially in the post-COVID-19 phase, it is essential to maintain the achievement of the fight against the epidemic. Previous research focuses on flight and railway passenger travel behavior and patterns, but China also has numerous suburban residents with a not-high economic level; investigating their travel behaviors is significant for national stability. However, estimating the impacts of the COVID-19 for suburban residents’ travel behaviors remains challenging because of lacking apposite data. Here we submit bus ticketing data including approximately 26,000,000 records from April 2020–August 2020 for 2705 stations. Our results indicate that Suburban residents in Chinese Southern regions are more likely to travel by bus, and travel frequency is higher. Associated with the economic level, we find that residents in the economically developed region more likely to travel or carry out various social activities. Considering from the perspective of the traveling crowd, we find that men and young people are easier to travel by bus; however, they are exactly the main workforce. The indication of our findings is that suburban residents’ travel behavior is affected profoundly by economy and consistent with the inherent behavior patterns before the COVID-19 outbreak. We use typical regions as verification and it is indeed the case.

The pace and scale of the digitalization of today’s global information society open up new opportunities for business. At the same time, they set new challenges for business owners and managers in the field of marketing. Given this fact, the purpose of the study was to present the impact of digitalization on the marketing activity of the enterprise in the field of services by promoting the use of online sales via electronic distribution channels, social networks, and mobile applications. A comparative system of estimating the parameters of the influence of digitalization on the marketing activity of the enterprise was proposed as a confirmation of this impact. Based on the developed “tree of goals,” the dynamics of the digitalization of services were projected and the prospects of development of this sphere of activity were outlined. For testing the proposed methodology, the railway passenger transportation company (JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”) was chosen as the object of the research. Research methods used in the study include: (1) statistical; (2) SWOT analysis; (3) systematization, comparative, and structural-dynamic analysis; and (4) an expert survey. As a result of revealing the impact of individual elements of digitalization on the level of marketing activity, the number of recommendations regarding the development of digitalization of electronic ticket sales services and their accounting for enterprises dealing with railway passenger transportation were proposed.

The most important element in railway passenger transport is a customer – traveller, who requires the transport from one place to another. A basic precondition for accomplishing the main requirement – transport, is making the complete offer which provides not only transport, but also other associated services. Practically, there are many associated criteria of transport, for example safety, duration, price, reliability, comfort and complementary services. Passenger transport is generally considered as an activity, which arises as the consequence of spatial division of places, where people are in exact time and their need to move. Motivators for moving could be commuting – job or education, dealing with personal or working matters, travelling for vacation – hiking, sport, health, cultural and social facilities, visiting relatives and friends. Requirements for transport of passengers originate in the need to move, while the passenger transport is dependent on the willingness of travelling. In passenger transport, there are mostly individual passengers, so it is difficult to determine all transport requirements. The paper is focused on one of the key factors of passenger transportation - connectivity of trains. Connectivity of passenger trains and other means of transport can be distinguished also from temporal and spatial point of view. Temporal connectivity is such sequence of arrivals and departures of different passenger trains and other means of transport, which allows changing the different passenger vehicles easily in regard to necessary time. Spatial connectivity means the distance between two passenger vehicles, among which the passenger is moving. In the paper, there is described the general methodology for calculation of minimum transfer time in the railway station. Railway passenger station is some kind of transport hub – a starting and finishing point for flows of passengers. Passengers have the opportunity to change the train type from long-haul train to regional train or contrariwise or simply enter or leave the system of railway transport. In the methodology, all necessary aspects are taken into account.
