Development of feed industry is the way to achieve sustainable development of animal husbandry.and mixer has a pivotal role in this process. In this paper, optimization factors were the speed of mixer(32-68r/min), the mass of mixing material(6-14kg) and mixing time(10-480s) while investigated responses was mixing uniformity. The order of strength and the best valve of the factors when mixing were determined to obtain. The order was found to be the mass of material first, the speed of mixer second, and then mixing time and the best values of factors were found to be mass of mixing material of 14kg with speed of 36.48r/min for the mixing time of 3min. At this the best point, the The coefficient of variation were found of 8%. This paper provides a theoretical basis for further study on feed mixing equipment and technology for mixing process.

Many problems associated with the mixing process remain unsolved and result in poor mixing performance. The residence time distribution (RTD) and the mixing time are the most important parameters that determine the homogenisation that is achieved in the mixing vessel and are discussed in detail in this paper. In addition, this paper reviews the current problems associated with conventional tracers, mathematical models, and computational fluid dynamics simulations involved in radiotracer experiments and hybrid of radiotracer.

Combining with the concrete mixing process of twin-shaft mixer, this paper studied the gap-graded concrete mixing uniformity variation under different time. The study found that: under different mixing time, the relative error of coarse aggregate weight in per unit volume decreases, the compressive strength of concrete specimens change from increase to decrease, and they respectively reach the minimum and maximum at 40s, according to this, we get to optimum stirring time is 30~40s; Torque can reflect the condition of concrete mixing to a certain extent, but when the torque becomes stable, it does not stand for the uniformity of concrete mixing, keep stirring about 8s, the concrete mixing will be uniform completely.

Continuous manufacturing has received increasing interest because of the advantages of intrinsic safety and enhanced mass transfer in the pharmaceutical industry. However, the difficulty for scale-up has limited the application of continuous manufacturing for a long time. Recently, the tubular flow reactor equipped with the Kenics static mixer appears to be a solution for the continuous process scale-up. Although many influence factors on the mixing performance in the Kenics static mixer have been investigated, little research has been carried out on the aspect ratio. In this study, we used the coefficient of variation as the mixing evaluation index to investigate the effect of the aspect ratio (0.2–2) on the Kenics static mixer’s mixing performance. The results indicate that a low aspect ratio helps obtain a shorter mixing time and mixer length. This study suggests that adjusting the aspect ratio of the Kenics static mixer can be a new strategy for the scale-up of a continuous process in the pharmaceutical industry.
