Design of OPC Client Based on .NET for Advanced Control System

Aiming at the problem that there are many .NET based software need to access COM based OPC servers. This article developed an OPC client for .NET based advanced control software. Firstly, this article introduces the structural characteristics of OPC, then describes the whole process to develop this client software, and finally shows the experiments result that the client could access data with an OPC server stabilized. This client could be a good solution to solve the communication problem between .NET and COM platforms.

OPC has been widely applied to coal mine automation control system as an industry standard of communication between the field control substation and PC in the control system. In this paper, through the analysis and design for the transport system of coal mine belt conveyor, communication between the PC and S7-300 PLC is realized by using OPC technology. This paper gives the configuration scheme of OPC Server and develops the OPC Client program. The actual operation shows that the system is stable, reliable of communication and high of data real-time.

Hydraulic descaling system is the key device to ensure the surface quality of billet. However, traditional control methods lead to the stability problem in hydraulic descaling system. To solve the problem, the construction of the hydraulic descaling computer control system is studied, the working principle of the system is analyzed, and the high pressure water bench of hydraulic descaling is designed. Based on it, the corresponding computer control software is developed. The application shows that the designed system is stable in practice, which is helpful for enterprise production.

The next generation of free-turbine engines in the 2 to 5-lb/sec airflow class will undergo vast improvements in performance and efficiency. The improvements will be achieved concurrent with overall reductions in size and weight. Effort is required at optimization and miniaturization of the engine control system to keep pace with these improvements. This paper describes a conceptual design of an advanced engine control system for this class of engine. It provides gas generator and power turbine control with torque, temperature, load sharing and overspeed limiting functions. The control system was concepted to accommodate, with minimum hardware changes, such variants as regenerative cycle and/or variable power turbine geometry. In addition, considerations for closed and open loop modes of control and fluidic, electronic and hydromechanical technologies were studied to best meet a defined specification and a weighted set of evaluation criteria.

This paper provides a design for a PLC-based, variable-frequency governing, pressure-constant, automatic water-supply control system. This design is based on the current situations at the water supply plants found in small and medium cities in China. In this control system, the pressure signal across the pipe network is acquired by pressure sensors and then transmitted to PID modules in the PLC in order to control switching between pump motors. At the same time, the PLC is connected with a personal computer for industrial control purposes. On this computer, monitoring and control software has been installed in order to monitor and control the pressure-constant water-supply system on a real-time basis.

AbstractThis paper describes the design of an advanced solar tracking system development that can be deployed for a range of applications. The work focused on the design and implementation of an advanced solar tracking system that follow the trajectory of the sun’s path to maximise the power capacity generated by the solar panel. The design concept focussed on reliability, cost effectiveness, and scalability. System performance is of course a key issue and is at the heart of influencing the hardware, software and mechanical design. The result ensured a better system performance achieved. Stability issues were also addressed, in relation to optimisation and reliability. The paper details the physical tracker device developed as a prototype, as well as the proposed advanced control system for optimising the tracking.


Version Control Software or Revision Control Software are the most important things in the world of software development. In this paper, we have described two version control tools: Git and Apache Subversion. Git comes as free and open source code management and version control system which is disseminated with the GNU general public license. Apache Subversion abbreviated as SVN is one amongst a software versioning and revision control systems given as open source under Apache License. Git design, its functionality, and usage of Git and SVN are discussed in this paper. The goal of this research paper is to accentuate on GIT and SVN tools, evaluate and compare five version control tools to ascertain their usage and efficacy.
