Wind power and solar energy have been developed rapidly during recent years. However, costs of power transmission services have been rising due to their respective instability of working, which has become a barrier restricting their developments. Wind and Solar Hybrid Generation System, a result of the combination of wind and solar energy, which is a good match in terms of resources, is an effective means to improve the reliability of power generation. In this paper, the topic of influences on price of power network transmission service caused by the combination of wind and solar energy has been discussed. Based on power changes caused by the combination of wind and solar energy, comparing different prices of power transmission service before and after this combination, pointing out that it is more economical when the wind and solar energy are combined, which has been verified through the 5 nodes system.

A grid connected hybrid generation system (HGS) consisting of wind energy conversion System (WECS)/Photo voltaic (PV) System/solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is designed and simulated by using Matlab/Simulink. SOFC is the replacement of battery, attached to produce the clean energy when these renewable energy sources are unable to produce required amount of electric power. A controller is used to regulate the flow of H2 through the valveto the SOFC and the rest amount of H2 is stored in storage tank. Also, an operational control strategy (OCS) is developed to utilize maximum amount of power of PV to the required load and rest amount of power is coming from wind to fulfill the load demand. Hence, the electrolyzer is supplied by the wind power to convert the water in to H2 and oxygen. Also the power quality factor (PQF) analysis is exercised to measure the quality of power transmission.

The sustainable development of the energy sector through the implementation of renewable energy (RE) technology has been a primary concern for the government of Malaysia since the 1990s. Developing RE technology in rural areas is also one of the most important energy strategies. One of the most important requirements for the successful adoption of renewable energy technology is the public acceptance of this technology. This article examines the public acceptance of RE (wind and solar) technologies among rural residents in Mersing, Malaysia. This study is conducted in conjunction with the development of the hybrid wind–solar RE generation system for the Marine Ecosystem Research Centre (EKOMAR), which located in Mersing. To investigate the public acceptance of RE technologies, two surveys were conducted, before and after the installation of the hybrid wind–solar RE generation system. The findings revealed that RE innovations, such as wind and solar energy, were well known among 54.7% and 96.2% of the respondents, respectively, before and after the introduction of EKOMAR. The survey results showed that rural residents generally support RE technologies and EKOMAR RE projects. They were also in line that the use of RE should also be extended to other parts of Mersing, including wind and solar. These findings illustrate that EKOMAR has played a crucial role in educating local residents about RE, wind and solar energy in particular. Residents believe the government plays an important role, particularly in rural areas, in encouraging and enhancing RE technologies.

Smart grid based on Ethernet technology is the development direction of power transmission network, power Ethernet carried different data communication service, which have different needs for network transmission time delay and bandwidth guarantee, which is reflected in the quality of service of network QoS (Quality of Service) requirements, in power Ethernet, QoS which can provided differentiated services (Diff-Serv) is essential. This paper outlines QoS implementation, QoS feature and related technologies in the power Ethernet switch, and analyses the flow characteristics of digital substation network, and proposes classification and scheduling scheme of service traffic based on network nodes, and elaborates an important effect that QoS has in ensuring substation communication network transmission of high quality service.
