Smart grid based on Ethernet technology is the development direction of power transmission network, power Ethernet carried different data communication service, which have different needs for network transmission time delay and bandwidth guarantee, which is reflected in the quality of service of network QoS (Quality of Service) requirements, in power Ethernet, QoS which can provided differentiated services (Diff-Serv) is essential. This paper outlines QoS implementation, QoS feature and related technologies in the power Ethernet switch, and analyses the flow characteristics of digital substation network, and proposes classification and scheduling scheme of service traffic based on network nodes, and elaborates an important effect that QoS has in ensuring substation communication network transmission of high quality service.

Application-aware networking (AAN) is a framework in which applications can discover services offered by a network and explicitly signal their flow characteristics and requirements to the network. Such framework provides network nodes with knowledge of the application flow characteristics, which enables them to apply the correct flow treatment (e.g., bind the flow to a network slice, bind the flow to a service function chaining, set appropriate quality of service marking, invoke policing and shaping rules) and provide feedback to applications accordingly. This chapter describes how an application enabled collaborative networking framework contributes to solve the encountered problems. The chapter also describes recent proposals such as the PAN (path-aware networking) framework discussed within the IRTF and the APN (application-aware networking) framework that is meant to convey application identification and its network performance in-band.

ABSTRACT—Network traffic internet is data communication in a network characterized by a set of statistical flow with the application of a structured pattern. Structured pattern in question is the information from the packet header data. Proper classification to an Internet traffic is very important to do, especially in terms of the design of the network architecture, network management and network security. The analysis of computer network traffic is one way to know the use of the computer network communication protocol, so it can be the basis for determining the priority of Quality of Service (QoS). QoS is the basis for giving priority to analyzing the network traffic data. In this study the classification of the data capture network traffic that though the use of K-Neaerest Neighbor algorithm (K-NN). Tools used to capture network traffic that wireshark application. From the observation of the dataset and the network traffic through the calculation process using K-NN algorithm obtained a result that the value generated by the K-NN classification has a very high level of accuracy. This is evidenced by the results of calculations which reached 99.14%, ie by calculating k = 3. Intisari—Trafik jaringan internet adalah lalu lintas ko­mu­nikasi data dalam jaringan yang ditandai dengan satu set ali­ran statistik dengan penerapan pola terstruktur. Pola ter­struktur yang dimaksud adalah informasi dari header paket data. Klasifikasi yang tepat terhadap sebuah trafik internet sa­ngat penting dilakukan terutama dalam hal disain perancangan arsitektur jaringan, manajemen jaringan dan keamanan jari­ngan. Analisa terhadap suatu trafik jaringan komputer meru­pakan salah satu cara mengetahui penggunaan protokol komu­nikasi jaringan komputer, sehingga dapat menjadi dasar pe­nen­tuan prioritas Quality of Service (QoS). Dasar pemberian prio­ritas QoS adalah dengan penganalisaan terhadap data trafik jaringan. Pada penelitian ini melakukan klasifikasi ter­hadap data capture trafik jaringan yang di olah menggunakan Algoritma K-Neaerest Neighbor (K-NN). Apli­kasi yang digu­nakan untuk capture trafik jaringan yaitu aplikasi wireshark. Hasil observasi terhadap dataset trafik jaringan dan melalui proses perhitungan menggunakan Algoritma K-NN didapatkan sebuah hasil bahwa nilai yang dihasilkan oleh klasifikasi K-NN memiliki tingkat keakuratan yang sangat tinggi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil perhi­tungan yang mencapai nilai 99,14 % yaitu dengan perhitungan k = 3. DOI: 10.24843/MITE.1601.10

<p class="FigureCaption"><span>With the advent of several new cloud radio access network (C-RAN) technologies, today’s networking environment is dramatically altered and is experiencing a rapid transformation. One of the most important is ethernet based C-RAN, in support of which many products such as optical Ethernet switches have recently appeared on the market. This paper presents the performance analysis of such switches with respect to packet loss ratio (PLR), latency and packet delay variation (PDV). We employed the Simula based on discrete event modelling on Simula (DEMOS), a context class for discrete event simulation to simulate a cut-through optical ethernet switch under two types of traffics: high priority (HP) traffic and low priority (LP) traffic. In this way, the paper evaluates the optical Ethernet switch performance quantitatively. The results obtained from the simulator showed that the high quality of service was reflected on HP traffic and the low quality of service in LP traffic. Hence, HP traffic can be used for transporting radio over ethernet (RoE) traffic while LP traffic can used for transporting time insensitive application. It is also found that HP traffic experiences a PDV equals to the duration of maximum sized LP traffic in Optical Ethernet switch.</span></p>

Biomedical wireless sensor networks enable the development of real time patient monitoring systems, either to monitor chronically ill persons in their homes or to monitor patients in step-down hospital units. However, due to the critical nature of medical data, these networks have to meet demanding quality of service requirements, ensuring high levels of confidence to their users. These goals depend on several factors, such as the characteristics of the network deployment area or the network topology. In such context, this chapter surveys the main applications of biomedical wireless sensor networks, taking into account the key quality of service requirements of each one of them. Finally, it presents an analytic method, and its experimental validation, to help engineers managing the radio power of the network nodes in order to improve the communications and the quality of service provided by the network while minimising the energy consumption and, thus, maximising the network lifetime.

At present the need for integrated data communication has become a major need for an office, especially at this time it tends to have many branch offices to support its business processes. Problems will arise if the head office has a branch office in a different city. Such as more costs in building network infrastructure to connect between headquarters and branches. One solution is to use Ethernet Over IP (EoIP) Tunnel. That is one of the tunneling features of the Mikrotik that provides an efficient solution to this problem. Network tunnel that is built between Mikrotik devices over TCP / IP. In running EoIP tunnel simulation using IPv4 to communicate with each other. Ethernet Over IP (EoIP) is a proprietary protocol, which is only owned by MikrotikOS. The routing protocol used in the EoIP tunnel is OSPF. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is one dynamic routing protocol (Dynamic Routing) that is able to maintain, manage and distribute routing information between networks following any dynamic network changes. Then the quality of service is observed with throughput and packet loss parameters. The results of throughput parameters, the performance of video streaming services reaches 280.45 kbits / Sec. In the video streaming communication service, the average OSPF EoIP Tunnel packet loss reaches 0.92%.

The aims of this study are to measure the level of service quality and how to improve the quality of service execution in re-measurement tera and tera of UTTP in Commerce On duty Co-Operation, Industrial and Commerce Of Sub-Province of Pacitan. This research’s object is traditional market of Minulyo Pacitan as mains market in Sub-Province of Pacitan with 100 perpetrator people of sample as user/owner of UTTP (ukur,timbang, takar, dan perlengkapannya) with method intake of sampel by Convenience Sampling. The technique of collecting data uses questionnaires and direct interview. This research use qualitative analysis instrument test of validity and reliability to know valid or not and reliabel or not about the questions of questionnaire. Then, this research was done with Servqual method as instrument to do measurement of service quality. The measurement of service quality in Servqual method pursuant to five service dimension that is tangibles, responsiveness, realibility, assurance, and empathy. This research will be measured of gap 5 that is difference among performance and its expectation. Ad for yielded gap from a enumeration of Servqual 5 gap, -146 progressively lower him mount the quality of given service activities. Therefore, its needs the existence of priority repair of service quality, in this case is service of remeasurement tera and tera of UTTP at biggest difference or gap that is at variable of Responsiveness ( Energy Listen carefully) and attribute that has smallest difference that is – 0.44 at dimension question of variable of Tangibles ( Evidence Physical). This study departs from the hajj bailout financing facility which is a booming product because of the customer's interest, but in this case there is a difference in the target achievement between Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) Ujungberung KCP which is less successful in improving the hajj bailout products while the Rancaekek KCP is very superior in one consolidation Ahmad Yani Branch Office Bandung. This is what is interesting for researchers to carry out this research, the difference constraints include service quality and promotion factors. This phenomenon raises problems that must be examined, namely how the influence of service quality and promotion of market share expansion products hajj bailouts at Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Ujungberung and KCP Rancaekek Bandung. This study aims academically to contribute in the study of Islamic economics in worksheets, especially the quality of service and promotion of market share expansion and practically expected to be able to provide input to all employees of BSM KCP Ujungberung regarding the quality of service and promotion of market expansion of bailout products. Hajj that has been successfully carried out by BSM KCP Rancaekek.The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence of service quality on the expansion of market share by 53.3% with a strong correlation of 0.730 and through t test, where t counts at 8.245 (> t table), then H_0 is rejected and H_i is accepted. Furthermore, there is a significant influence of promotion on the expansion of market share by 30.3% with a moderate / sufficient correlation of 0.550 through t test, where t counts is 4.219 (> t table), then H_ (0) is rejected and H_i is accepted. Then there is a significant influence of service quality and promotion simultaneously to the expansion of market share by 60.6% and a strong correlation of 0.784 and through Test F, where F count is 67.023 (> F table), then 〖H〗 _ ( 0) rejected and H_i accepted.
