Thinking and Methodology in Programming Teaching of Single-Chip Microcomputer

For application system based on single-chip microcomputer (SCM), software design becomes more and more difficult than hardware design. Most of the college students can scheme out hardware circuits, but seldom of them can write out high-quality code for comprehensive system. Thinking and methodology are the key factors deciding the code quality. This article analyzes current situation of programming teaching for SCM, then discusses the particularity of thinking and methodology for SCM programming. The teaching contents were reformed by introducing new thinking and methodology. The applications of new thoughts and methods were demonstrated by three examples: multi-petal structure, key-jitter elimination without time-consuming and programming method based on messages. The practice showed that the teaching reform expanded the students’ thinking and improved their capabilities to write high-quality programs.

This paper analyses the characteristics and the glowing use value of LED lights, using STC series microcontroller design a system of LED which can automatically adjust the light according to the environment changes. The control system consists by the data acquisition module and control module and circuit driver module. This paper gives the control circuit hardware and software design. This system has many advantages such as energy conservation and environmental protection and longevity when compared with the conventional lighting system.

With the development of robot technology some robots have been seen in the field of entertainment. Dance robot’s mechanical structure is the motion mode with several free degrees drove by electric motor. The blocking idea was impenetrate in hardware design and the CPU was high-quality single-chip AT90S8535.The technology PWM with width modulation combined with three subprograms and main program were adopted in the software so that the dance robot can complete all the action arranged in advance.

With the rapid development of computers and aggravation of competitiveness in employment, the course content system of Microcomputer Principle and Interface Technology with 8086/8088 CPU as the core is questioned by more and more people. Based on this, the course reform of Microcomputer Principle and Interface Technology was proposed. Recombining and optimizing the contents of "Microcomputer Principle" and "Single-chip Microcomputer”. Constructing the course system with Micro Controller Unit (MCU) and embedded as the main contents. The ways of teaching reform was discussed and task-driven method, learning by doing teaching method and Proteus simulation software were applied in teaching effectively. The practice proves that the teaching reform obtains a better teaching effect, arouses students' learning initiative and improves the students' project practice ability, comprehensive application ability and innovation consciousness.

Through the hardware and software design of the system, and simulation test, proved that the system is reliable. The system can solve the problem of truck brake failure effectively.

In the hardware introduced the ADC0809 modulus conversion chip data acquisition system,AT89S51 and MC143150 interface and MC143150 and physical network interface. In the software introduces the data acquisition, parallel slave-A mode of communication and utilization of network variables to send information from three aspects of the program design.

It is described in detail how to develop the intelligent instrument system through connecting bus-bridge of PROFIBUS with single-chip microcomputer system of users, changing the traditional PLC-control into the data-bus control in limekiln electrical control system. This paper focuses on the development of hardware of the accompanies-station of PROFIBUS-DP, the model for user, and software design. About 400,000 dollars per each were saved and the ease of operation and the robust of control have been also improved dramatically after novel development.
