The MRBR is important to ensure the aircraft’s safety and reliability. The analysis to the structural components’ reliability is to establish the basis for its MRBR. The aviation component’s reliability obey the bathtub curve distribution, Weibull distribution, exponential distribution and a linear increasing distribution. A method of reliability analysis of structural components is proposed. According to the aircraft operating data the structural components reliability distribution is fitted. The component failure weaknesses and remedial measures can be determined according to its reliability distribution. So the perfect MRBR can be obtained. As an example the structural component slide rail is studied, which showed the slide rail reliability is the Weibull distribution and consistent with the actual running situation. So the example showed that the proposed method is reasonable. And a viable method to the development of aircraft MRBR is got.

Deepwater oil and gas explorations bring more safety and reliability problems for the dynamically positioned vessels. With the demands for the safety of vessel crew and onboard device increasing, the single control architecture of dynamic positioning (DP) system can not guarantee the long-time faultless operation for deeper waters, which calls for much more reliable control architectures, such as the Class 2 and Class 3 system, which can tolerate a single failure of system according to International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) DP classification. The reliability analysis of the main control station of DP Class 3 system is proposed from a general technical prospective. The fault transitions of the triple-redundant DP control system are modeled by Markov process. The effects of variation in component failure rates on the system reliability are investigated. Considering the DP operation involved a human-machine system, the DP operator factors are taken into account, and the human operation error failures together with technical failures are incorporated to the Markov process to predict the reliability of the DP control system.

Fitness as a healthy lifestyle implementation helps to improve the social, mental and physical well-being components. Several scientists have indicated that there is a connection between social belonging and physical activity (PA) as the structural component of a healthy lifestyle (Walseth, 2006; Walseth & Fasting, 2004; Antonsich, 2010; Yuval-Davis, 2006; Anthias, 2006; Pinquart & Sorensen, 2001; Everard et. al., 2000). That is why the goal of the research is to develop and apply a social belonging promotion programme for women in fitness programme and to determine the changes in the lifestyle structural component health promoting PA. 10 women involved in fitness classes in small groups (2-4 people) participated in the case study, where in addition to PA social belonging promotion events were organized for all women together. In order to evaluate the structural components of social belonging and PA level and type, questionnaires adapted in Latvia and a semi-structured interview was used. Applying the social belonging promotion programme for women in fitness creates statistically significant changes in such structural components as sense of commitment (p<0.01), perception of interpersonal relations (p<0.01). By additionally promoting social belonging in fitness, women perceive the group better, are willing to spend more time with it; that, in turn, positively affects the willingness to be physically and socially active on a daily basis.

Investigating the geometric structures of the distribution manifolds is a basic task in information geometry. However, by so far, most works are on the distribution manifolds of exponential family. In this paper, we investigate two non-exponential distribution manifolds —the Weibull distribution manifold and the generalized exponential distribution manifold. Then we obtain their geometric structures.

The aim of this paper was to highlight the promotion degree of movement games in middle school education, by looking at its use in the structural component of the physical education lesson. In order to capture various aspects regarding the use of movement games in the physical education lesson, 40 observation charts were made for the lessons conducted at two Bacau schools. Following the results recorded during the studied physical education lessons, and based on the observation charts, it can be said that the use of movement games did not record impressive values, and their formative value has not been exploited at its full potential. That is why one can say that the physical education teachers should make more use of their imagination and creativity in using these means during their lesson.

Abstract Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are increasingly get popularity in many applications. Their operation requires high level of safety and reliability to accomplish successful missions. In this study, the reliability was comparatively analyzed by different available approaches to select the efficient method. First, failure model of the system is developed. Then, three different scenarios are considered to study the effect of redundancies on the system reliability results. In the first scenario, there is no redundancy where in the second scenario there is only one redundant component and in the third scenario, there are three redundant components. Static reliability analysis such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), Markov Chain (MC), and Bayesian Networks (BN) are applied on proposed scenarios and results are obtained. Regarding to time dependencies between redundant components, a dynamic-based methodology is also developed in this study through applying Dynamic Fault Tree (DFT) analysis. Proposed static and dynamic approaches are applied on an UAV as a case study and results are discussed. Finally, characteristics of each methodology and related conditions are clarified for selecting the efficient reliability analysis approach.
