The cationic polymethyl acrylate (CPMA) emulsion which was prepared with no soap emulsion polymerization was used with petroleum resin sizing agent in bleached wheat straw pulp and wood pulp as papermaking sizing agent. It was showed that by the experimental results that when the dosage of composite sizing agent composed of CPMA emulsion and anionic petroleum resin sizing agent was 0.2% absolute dry pulp, sizing degree and white degree of handsheet made of bleached wheat straw pulp were improved 33% and 5.2%ISO respectively. It was also showed that when the dosage of composite sizing agent was 0.2% absolute dry pulp, sizing degree and white degree of handsheet made of wood pulp were improved 37% and 4.2%ISO respectively.

Before oxygen bleaching and hydrogen peroxide bleaching, wheat straw pulp was bleached using xylanase. The effect of enzymatic stage on pulp properties and bleachability has been studied and compared with reference (control) pulps, processed without enzyme addition. Experimental results showed that, the optimal concentration of wheat straw pulp was 10%, the optimal treatment time and dose of enzyme was 60 min and 1.25AXU/g respectively. Oxygen pressure decreased from 0.6MPa to 0.5MPa when conditions of hydrogen peroxide bleachingremained unchanged and wheat straw pulp achieved the same whiteness. Hydrogen peroxide consumption decreased from 2% to 1.8% when oxygen bleaching has the same conditions and achieved the same white degree.

Cationic polymethyl acrylate emulsion which was prepared with no soap emulsion polymerization was used in bleached wheat straw pulp as papermaking retention agent. The main influence factors on retention effect, such as dosage of polymethyl acrylate emulsion, pH value of the bleached wheat straw pulp, reaction time after adding the polymethyl acrylate emulsion and stir velocity were discussed in detail. Experimental results showed that optimal application conditions were that first step was adding cationic emulsion which dosage was 0.64% relative to dry fiber, stir velocity was 1400r/min, 90s for reaction, second step was adding anion components which dosage was 0.16% relative to dry fiber, stir velocity was 750r/min, 60s for reaction, pH value was 4.5~5.0. The cationic organic particles system has good retention aid effect which one pass retention was 96.4%.

In this paper, the effect of microwave treatment on the hydrogen peroxide bleaching of Soda-AQ wheat-straw pulp was investigated. The results showed that microwave treatment could increase the brightness of the hydrogen peroxide bleached pulp. The fiber coarseness of microwave enhancing peroxide bleached pulp was higher than that of the peroxide bleached pulp. However, the arithmetic average fiber length, the length weighted average fiber length and weight weighted average fiber length of the former was lower than that of the latter. Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra showed that CrI(%) crystallinity of microwave enhancing peroxide bleached pulp was similar as that of the peroxide bleached pulp but all higher than that of the Soda-AQ wheat-straw pulp. N·O′KI infra-red crystalline index of microwave enhancing peroxide bleached pulp were lower than that of the peroxide bleached pulp. The FTIR spectra of lignin showed that the microwave treatment had some influences on the methoxyl and phenolic group in lignin.

It is usually reported that chitosan is used as paper strengthening agent. However, it is sorry that the study choosing chitosan which DD (degree of de-acetyl )and viscosity is filtered by experiments is blank. Many chitosan samples of wide viscosity range and wide DD range were tested by their strengthening effect on bleched wheat straw pulp. Then a few sample of chitosan is selected because of their obvious strengthening effect on pulp. This study could be as the foundation of further research of chitosan used as paper strengthening agent.

In order to improve the general problem of irregular coating morphology and low mechanical strength of the coating layer in existing coating desensitization technology, nano-cyclotrimethylene trinitramine/melamine-urea-formaldehyde (RDX/MUF) composite energetic microspheres were prepared by an improved emulsion polymerization, taking the MUF as the binder and RDX as the main explosive. In order to judge whether RDX/MUF possessed good stability, the combination of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation was used to determine the level of binding binding energy between urea-formaldehyde resin binder (UF) and RDX. In addition, to investigate the optimal reaction temperature for the preparation of MUF/RDX, the binding energy between UF and RDX at different temperatures was simulated. And then the morphology and thermal properties of the as-prepared composite energetic microspheres were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and DSC, the impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity of the resultant samples were tested as well. Moreover, RDX/MUF with the same MUF content was prepared by physical mixing for comparative analysis. MD simulation demonstrated that UF and RDX possessed good binding ability at 298 K. The DSC method indicatec that UF and RDX had good compatibility, and the comprehensive performance of RDX after coating was not significantly deteriorated; The optimal binding temperature between UF and RDX was 60~70 °C which is consistent with the experimental results. The experimental results showed that the optimum process conditions for the preparation of RDX/MUF could be listed as follows: the temperature for preparing RDX/MUF composite energetic microspheres by the improved emulsion polymerization was 70 °C the optimal pH value of the urea-formaldehyde resin prepolymer solution was 3, and the optimal melamine-urea molar ratio was 0.4.

In order to study the preparation and property of the multi layer composite paperboard, bleached wheat straw pulp, bleached chemical thermal mechanical pulp and waste newsprint pulp are used as raw materials to making paperboard. The results show that the bonding force between fibers of grasses chemical pulp is strong which can improve the bonding strength between the layers. Bleached wheat straw pulp is used as outer layer and waste news paper pulp is used as inner layer to make composite paperboard has high physical properties. Bleached chemical thermal mechanical pulp fiber is shorter, so paperboard tightness and physical strength reduce, which can be used as the lining of the multi layer composite paperboard to improve the stiffness of the paperboard and reduce the cost.
