The air-powered swashplate engine is different from the oil-free compressor in working principle and mechanism. In order to predict the life of the oil-free piston rings of the engine , a new method is put forward, and is used to the life prediction of the rings. The results shows that the oil-free piston rings which is designed for the air-powered swashplate engine are feasible .

First of all, the working principle of infrared thermometer and the structural principle sketch map for measuring the temperature of rotary wheel disc through infrared thermometric technology are briefly introduced from the physics aspect. Secondly, the type of infrared thermometer is selected according to the practical request of low or high temperature measure of rotary wheel disc. Finally, the same point temperature of the turbine wheel disc of an engine is measured through infrared thermometer and thermoelectric couple in the heating status, and the measure results are compared, which dictates that the infrared thermometric system could achieve an upper detection precision and satisfy the practical engineering request.

A novel method based on Fourier series for the measurement of motion, yawing and rolling error is proposed in this study. In this method, a stationary stage with eight sensors, three of which are laid in the upper row and the rest are positioned in the lower row, is used as the data acquisition device. While the carriage of a lathe is sliding on the bed in one direction, the sensors capture the displacement data from the facing machine profile. Based on the existing “F5S” method, a new method is proposed to obtain the three major time-varying error components, which are the on-machine motion error, the yawing error and the rolling error, together with the shape functions of the machine profile. Mathematical proof and working principle are included in the paper. Verification of the method applicability is carried out by computer simulation. To evaluate the results of the method, the input data and calculated data are compared. It is shown that the new method is capable to separate all input error components with acceptable accuracy.

Determining how to strikingly and environmentally reduce the accident rate on roads in the snow weather, and ensure the traffic flow and safety in the icy district has become a tough issue nowadays. In the context, this article analyzed the series of current research results on different deicing techniques, and presents a new method which combines the thermal water-jet cutting with mechanical-milling deicing technique. It also introduces the structure and working principle of this device, together with the practicality design. The experiments indicate that this device can perform well in deicing work, environmentally friendly and satisfy to the requirements of design.

In this paper, a new method for the calibration of robotic cell components is presented and demonstrated by identification of an industrial robotic manipulator’s base and end-effector frames in a workplace. It is based on a mathematical approach using a Jacobian matrix. In addition, using the presented method, identification of other kinematic parameters of a robot is possible. The Universal Robot UR3 was later chosen to prove the working principle in both simulations and experiment, with a simple repeatable low-cost solution for such a task—image analysis to detect tag markers. The results showing the accuracy of the system are included and discussed.
