To change the current phenomenon of “being an armchair strategist" in the study of DC servo system, the simulation system of that was developed using virtual reality technology. The principle of pulse width modulation was stated. The development strategy of simulation software was introduced. Some key problems and their solutions in system development were put forward, which includes the formation of triangular-wave modulation, calculation of armature current, assurance of duty ratio with average voltage. Finally, an example was given using the virtual DC servo system simulation. This paper provides an assistive tool for the R&D of DC servo system.

To change the empty talk phenomenon of the research of a current AC servo system, virtual reality technology is used to develop the virtual simulation system of an AC servo system. This article described the fundamental principle of the sinusoidal pulse width modulation, introduced the functional structure of the virtual system. The fundamental principle of a wave display and the treatment of the key detail problems were solved. In the end, an example of the AC servo system simulation was given. The simulation of the AC servo system can be used as a soft device instead of a real one, and provide a technology platform for the development of a new AC servo system.

In digital fluid power, fast switching valve is a potential digital hydraulic component because of less throttling loss, reliability, low price, and so on. But its outlet flow is usually small and discontinuous. In this article, a two-stage proportional flow control valve is presented, in which the main stage is a flow amplifying valve, and the pilot stage consists of several switching valves with pulse width modulation control strategy. Peak and hold technique is adopted to improve the dynamic performance of the pilot stage. Benefits of the proposed configuration are continuous outlet flow and large flow capacity. The valve performance is investigated by theoretical analysis, simulation, and test. It is shown that both poppet displacement and outlet flow fluctuate around a stable value because of the discontinuous pilot flow, but the average outlet flow as well as poppet displacement of the main stage can be approximately proportionally regulated by changing pulse width modulation duty ratio. Average outlet flow of the main stage is an amplification of that of pilot stage. Increasing the average pressure drop not only increases outlet flow but also increases the severity of flow pulsations because pressure fluctuation becomes more serious as the average pressure difference increases. In theory, higher carrier frequency leads to smoother outflow; however, tested outflow profile of the proposed valve at 50 Hz is not significantly smoother than that at 30 Hz. This phenomenon may be due to the asynchrony of the four switching valves and the pressure fluctuations during the testing process.

In recent years, the quasi -switched boost inverter uses widely in electrical systems. This paper proposes a method to control the AC output voltage and reduce the current ripple of the booster inductor in the quasi-switched boost inverter (QSBI). The proposed technique base on carrier pulse width modulation with two triangles with phase shifts 90◦. This technique uses the offset function to expand the modulation index and the algorithm for output voltage stabilization based on the adjustment of the boost ratio. The modulation index expansion will reduce the stress voltage on the switches by an average of 16.5% under the simulated conditions. The boost factor base on the short circuit time on the DC / DC booster and the inverter on the zero vectors. So, the duty ratio (of the boost DC / DC) can reduce by the short-circuit pulses that insert in the position of zero vectors, so the inverter is responsible for both boosting and inverting. The combination helps to reduce the current ripple on the boost inductor. Besides that, reducing the short-circuit ratio of DC / DC booster will also reduce the capacity of the booster switch and thereby reduce the production cost. The analysis clarifies the proposed technique. Simulations and experiments evaluate the proposed method.

The Personal Transporter (PeT) is an electric vehicle, with easy maneuverability and compactness, which finds its application in confined areas. It is designed to transport an individual with the aid of an intelligent system. The two main wheels are driven by separate dc motors, fed by a common battery source and aided with the power electronic drives for appropriate speed control. The directional control is a electro - differential system done using the H-bridge circuit. The speed control is done with the help of microcontroller by varying the duty ratio of pulse width modulation signals given to the mosfets in the H bridge circuit. Two castor wheels are placed in order to balance the vehicle. The vehicle is further embellished with an intelligent system that directs the person to his/her destination in the best possible manner. This is done through installing receivers and transmitters in the i-PeT, as well as the places around the specified range. The application of such a system will be very helpful in various places such as airports, hospitals, shopping centers and lounges.

In this paper, put forward a real-time navigation method adopted in the process of 3D virtual geographical scene roaming, which get the real combination between the virtual reality technology and mature GIS applications. And it has realized the entity location, property information, the management of the buffer zone and other functions through the geographical coordinates of the earth's counterpart in the 3D virtual geographical scene. However, the functions are likely to bring out only if it is in the 2-D environment previously. It has provided an effective assistance for the daily management. And the solution has been proved that not only is applicable to the basin simulation system development, but also has referenced value in involving the development of the GIS simulation.
