In order to improve the stability of feed movement in high speed CNC system, the feedrate planning algorithm based on piece-wise polynomial function was proposed. The flexible transition of feedrate was realized through maintaining linear continuous jerk. The principle of the proposed algorithm was introduced and the method to generate smooth motion profile based on the proposed algorithm was presented. The proposed algorithm is simple and it can be applied in acceleration/deceleration before interpolation in high speed feed movement to improve the stability of it. The proposed algorithm was applied in multi-contour high speed processing and the result indicated that it could improve the stability of large-scale parts motion.

In order to meet the development demands for high-speed and high-precision of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools, the equipped CNC systems begin to employ the technical route of software hardening. Making full use of the advanced performance of Large Scale Integrated Circuits (LSIC), this paper puts forward using Field Programmable Gates Array (FPGA) for the functional modules of CNC system, which is called Intelligent Software Hardening Chip (ISHC). The CNC system architecture with high performance is constructed based on the open system thought and ISHCs. The corresponding programs can be designed with Very high speed integrate circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) and downloaded into the FPGA. These hardening modules, including the arithmetic module, contour interpolation module, position control module and so on, demonstrate that the proposed schemes are reasonable and feasibility.

AbstractNanopesticide is one of the best pesticide formulation technologies to overcome the disadvantages of traditional pesticides, which has received great attention from the international community. Using high-speed emulsification and ultrasonic dispersion technology, an avermectin nano-delivery system (Av-NDs) with a particle size of 80–150 nm was prepared through embedding the pesticide molecule utilizing the cross-linking reaction between sodium lignosulfonate and p-phenylenediamine diazonium salt. The formulation and composition of Av-NDs were optimized, the morphology of Av-NDs was analyzed by scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope and dynamic light scattering, and the structure of Av-NDs was characterized by UV, IR and 1H NMR. Anti-photolysis and controlled-release tests show that the stability of Av-NDs is 3–4 times of the original avermectin (Av) and possesses the pH-responsive controlled release property. Furthermore, the insecticidal activity of Av-NDs is better than that of avermectin suspension concentrate (Av-SC). The Av-NDs with anti-photolysis and controlled-release characteristics is suitable for large-scale industrial production and is capable to be utilized as effective insecticide in the field.

In Tai et al. (2020), the concept of idealized curved surface (ICS) is proposed to mimic the failure surface, and the application to a large-scale landslide yields good agreement with the satellite image for the post-failure flow paths. The ICS consists of two constant curvatures in the down-slope and cross-slope directions, respectively. Hence, it is convenient to evaluate the stability based on the moment of momentum with respect to the plausible ICS. In this study we are going introduce a new formula for the stability analysis, in which the balance of angular momentum is employed, so that the local failure thickness (above the ICS) and the local ground water level can be taken into account. That is, the depth distribution of the landslide body may also have significant impacts on the slope stability.

Motivated by the similarity between landslide and granular avalanches, the periodic sand avalanches on a heap are investigated by means of the snap shots of high-speed camera, where the sand is accumulated up to a specific volume before sliding down. It is found that the first failure takes place near the toe of the avalanching body and the rupture surface develops and moves upwards. The ICS and the associated stability analysis can well explain the initial failure near the toe. This concept can also be applied to the mystery of the Hsiaolin landslide, taking place in southern Taiwan in 2009, where the released volume is up to more than 22 Mm3 but the mean slope is around 21 degrees. In spite of a 2D analysis, it can be found that, with a reasonable groundwater level, the first failure could be suspected to develop around the toe part. Therefore, we speculate that the plausible state of the landslide is the rainfall induced rise of groundwater level, inducing the sequential landslides and resulting the resultant large-scale landslide event.

With the increasing of printing machine’s working speed, the minor changes of design variables will decrease mechanical precision and stability in working state. So, high-speed and high stability are the tow mutual restraint aspects in modern printing machine design. The web press is the highest printing speed and large-scale with, but the stability of fold mechanism is the most significant constraints to speed. In order to increase the mechanism speed and stability, the two robust criterions, kinematics and dynamics precision, has been proposed. Through the kinetic analysis to the fold mechanism of web press, the dynamic model of the mechanism response to design variables has been established. By the model, the optimization model has been established based on robust analysis. Through the robust model, seeking the design variables with the best robustness, the goal of increasing the mechanical long-term stability in high speed can be attached in the condition of ensuring the fold precision. The design example shows that in the case of the stable design variables, the kinematics performances of robust design and trace optimization design are slightly different , but the dynamic performances of robust design are much better than that of trace optimization, and in the case of the design variables’ slight changes, robust design can make the mechanism’s dynamic performances still maintain, but the trace optimization doesn’t. In short, robust design is a good way to increase the stability of machine.

Using an experimental design approach, researchers altered process parameters and material prop-erties to stabilize the curtain of a pilot curtain coater at high speeds. Part I of this paper identifies the four significant variables that influence curtain stability. The boundary layer air removal system was critical to the stability of the curtain and base sheet roughness was found to be very important. A shear thinning coating rheology and higher curtain heights improved the curtain stability at high speeds. The sizing of the base sheet affected coverage and cur-tain stability because of its effect on base sheet wettability. The role of surfactant was inconclusive. Part II of this paper will report on further optimization of curtain stability with these four variables using a D-optimal partial-facto-rial design.

High-speed railway "Moscow-Kazan" by the draft crosses the Volga (Kuibyshev reservoir) in Chuvashia region 500 m below the village of New Kushnikovo. The crossing plot is a right-bank landslide slope with a stepped surface. Its height is 80 m; the slope steepness -15-16o. The authors should assess the risk of landslides and recommend anti-landslide measures to ensure the safety of the future bridge. For this landslide factors have been analyzed, slope stability assessment has been performed and recommendations have been suggested. The role of the following factors have been analyzed: 1) hydrologic - erosion and abrasion reservoir and runoff role; 2) lithologyc (the presence of Urzhum and Northern Dvina horizons of plastically deformable rocks, displacement areas); 3) hydrogeological (the role of perched, ground and interstratal water); 4) geomorphological (presence of the elemental composition of sliding systems and their structure in the relief); 5) exogeodynamic (cycles and stages of landslide systems development, mechanisms and relationship between landslide tiers of different generations and blocks contained in tiers). As a result 6-7 computational models at each of the three engineering-geological sections were made. The stability was evaluated by the method “of the leaning slope”. It is proved that the slope is in a very stable state and requires the following measures: 1) unloading (truncation) of active heads blocks of landslide tiers) and the edge of the plateau, 2) regulation of the surface and groundwater flow, 3) concrete dam, if necessary.
