The peak of power consumption will be brought by the rapid development of the industry. Thermal power is still the main component of electric energy at present. More and more attention has been paid on the atmospheric pollution caused by the thermal power plant in our country. The sulfur dioxide (SO2), one of the thermal power plant flue gases, is dangerous to the environment and human. Effective SO2 control technology can not only reduce the environmental pollution but also the sulfur can be recovered in order to conserve resources.

In this paper, the flue gas desulfurization gypsum (FGD) generated from thermal power plant is used to produce high strength gypsum. The basic properties of super high strength gypsum prepared by FGD gypsum are investigated based on the test results of strength, thermal expansion rate, crystal appearance and size. The results indicate that the properties of high strength gypsum prepared by FGD gypsum above α50 standard. This can be a reference for gypsum-based α super high-strength gypsum related product development.

Explains the principle and reaction mechanism of desulfurization catalyst. Introduces the test applying desulfurization catalyst in WFGD (wet flue gas desulfurization) system of 320MW generating units operating in thermal power plant. Desulfurization efficiency is improved significantly by using desulfurization catalyst of 100 μ g/g to 600 μ g/g concentrations. To save electricity, stopping the top level slurry pump is the priority.

In this paper, the flue gas desulfurization gypsum (FGD) generated from thermal power plant is used to produce high strength gypsum. Compared with the properties of high strength gypsum using natural gypsum, the basic properties of super high strength gypsum prepared by FGD gypsum are investigated based on the test results of strength, thermal expansion rate, crystal appearance and size. The results indicate there is little difference of the properties of high strength gypsum prepared by FGD gypsum and natural gypsum. And furthermore, the FGD gypsum can be used as the good raw material of high strength gypsum preparation instead of natural gypsum.

Abstract Gas gas reheater is an important device for waste heat recovery and flue gas purification in thermal power plant. In this paper, the fracture failure reason of pressing plate bolt of guide bearing end cover of flue gas reheater in thermal power plant is analyzed. The results of optical microscope analysis show that there is no obvious abnormality in the metallographic structure of the two guide bearing bolts. The mechanical analysis results show that the hardness value, tensile strength and yield strength meet the requirements of relevant standards. SEM analysis showed that the fracture began at the root of the thread. The research results can provide reference for the operation and maintenance of flue gas reheater in relevant enterprises.

The article presents data on the calculated values of improving the efficiency of fuel use at the thermal power plant as a result of the introduction of a technical solution for cooling the flue gases of boilers to the lowest possible temperature under the conditions of safe operation of reinforced concrete and brick chimneys with a constant value of the flue gas temperature, when changing the operating mode of the boiler.
