The traditional means of mineral resource management is backward, to this problem, The paper put forwards the mineral resource management information system based on GIS , the system is established by GIS and database technology. From the following aspects discuss the design and realization of the system , such as system requirement analysis, the design of system database and function modules,the realization of the system function,The system can effectively improve the management level and lay a foundation for mineral resources information.

Based on the results of national mining rights on-the-spot survey and related foundation and business database, the general idea and the tech-framework of ‘one-map’ mineral resource management information system (MRMIS) was studied through comprehensively and systematically analysis of mineral resources administration’s present status, business processes and the demands in the future. The ‘one-map’ should not only be a comprehensive map, but also a ‘relation graph’ that would reflect the businesses’ relations, and workflow driving approach should be used to realize organic interconnection of each business in ‘one-map’. The national, provincial, municipal and county four levels MRM interconnecting network was designed on the basis of C/S, B/S and M/S hybrid software architecture, and the integrated tech-framework of effective supervision for mineral resources administration and information services for the public was achieved.

With the increasing geographic information system development, more technology about GIS was introduced to the mineral industry. Because of the promotion and implementation of "Digital Mine", many mining companies and research institutes started to build large mineral resources management information system. Mineral data has complicated and diversified characteristics, it include Two-Dimensional, Three-Dimensional spatial data, production statements, mining point of information, sampling results etc. This paper introduces a kind of design method that spatial database associated with the attributive data(maps, text, tables, video, etc.) in the server, to establish an systematic mineral resource management information system including GIS functions, mineral data management functions, Web GIS functions.

Rapid, accurate and standardized budget estimate is the basis of project bidding, which involves a lot of data information verification and charts. At present, many companies often use the traditional manual method in project budget estimate, which is time-consuming and error-prone. Aiming at the requirements of blast furnace coal powder injection project bidding, this paper developed a blast furnace coal powder injection project budget estimate management information system by using Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server database technology, introduced its overall function modules and the key technologies, including system role represent and use case analysis, the system data storage methods, report forms customization methods and so on. Finally, an applied case is given, which can make the project budget estimate conveniently, quickly and accurately, and can reduce the labor intensity of project information management.

As a reaserch and development model, IFS is fast and efficient for MIS sysment.At first, we introduced the IFS models (information models, station models and function models) ,and it is proposed that the management information system (MIS) is build base on IFS models data-driven technologies and four tiers soft development technologies. Finally, we described abstract of the station models (user interface) and mechanism about the station models to the user interface.
