Third-party reverse logistics providers (3PRLPs) selection has become an important logistics function which can help companies to maintain their competitive edge. Traditionally, companies solely considered economic aspects for selecting their 3PRLPs. However, due to increased pressure from different types of stakeholders regarding environmental and social issues in recent years, companies have been obliged to incorporate these issues in their logistics and supply chains functions. Although many studies have been conducted in the field of 3PRLPs selection, much less attention has been devoted to incorporating all three aspects of sustainability (social, environmental, and economic) in this field. In this research, a hybrid fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (FMCDM) approach is proposed for selecting 3PRLPs while all three dimensions of sustainability were taken into account. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was used in order to weight the selected sustainability criteria and subcriteria. Then, fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS) was applied for determining the ranking of suppliers. The applicability of the proposed approach was tested in an electronic manufacturing company.

The selection of Third-party reverse logistics supplier is key factor for the success implement of reverse logistics. In this paper an evaluation index system on the third-party logistics supplier is put forwarded according to the characteristics of reverse logistics, evaluation model is established by using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy synthetical method and an example of calculation is given. The result shows that the method is simple, accurate and has good application.

Dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS).

Under the guidance of the new strategic objectives of the power grid company, it is necessary to inject innovative vitality into personnel training, capital investment, and technological progress in order to achieve the goal of increasing the value of power grid companies. This paper analyzes the coupling relationship of “innovation chain, talent chain, technology chain, capital chain and value chain”, and establishes the evaluation index system of “five chain” integration effectiveness. Then, the traditional Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is improved, and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) model is constructed. Finally, three provincial power grid companies are selected for example analysis, and the innovation effectiveness ranking of each company is obtained, which verifies the effectiveness of the model proposed in this paper.

The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) are extremely beneficial when a decision-making process is complex. The reason is that AHP and TOPSIS can prioritize multiple-choice criteria into a hierarchy by assessing the relative importance of criteria and can thus generate an overall ranking of the alternatives. This study uses fuzzy AHP and fuzzy TOPSIS to evaluate the human resource in science and technology (HRST) performance of Southeast Asian countries. The fuzzy TOPSIS analysis indicates that Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan have similarities in their desired levels of HRST performance. That is, these three countries have better HRST performances than other Southeast Asian countries.

Recently, there emerge a variety of clouds in sky and thus, several similar cloud services (from different cloud venders) can be provided to a mobile end device. The goal of cloud-path selection is to find an optimal cloud-path pair between the mobile device and a cloud among a certain class of clouds that provide the same service, in order to carry out the offloaded computation tasks. It is easy to choose the optimal cloud-path to save execution time incurred by offloading program to cloud when considering only one factor. However, there are many Quality of Service (QoS)-based criteria such as performance, bandwidth, financial, security and availability that need to be considered when making final decisions. In this paper, a multiple criteria decision analysis approach based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) in a fuzzy environment is proposed to decide which cloud is the most suitable one for offloading. The AHP is used to determine the weights of the criteria for cloud-path selection, while fuzzy TOPSIS is to obtain the final ranking of alternative clouds. The numerical analysis is performed to evaluate the model. Furthermore, a method based on historical data of the mobile device’s experiences is used to evaluate the importance weights of the alternative cloud service, when it is challenge to measure and acquire the parameters of criteria timely in practical systems.

The urban artificial wetland is an important component of an urban green space system, and the adoption of quantitative method for studying the evaluation of urban wetland landscape proposal is of great significance to promote the construction of urban artificial wetland. In this study, the evaluation system of urban artificial wetland landscape proposal was established by selecting 6 indicators such as technology, bio-diversity, landscape function, maintenance, construction cost and artistic effect, and adopting the methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), and empirical evaluations of 30 urban artificial wetland landscape proposals have been conducted to verify the feasibility of the model. The results showed that: AHP-TOPSIS model was applied to the evaluation of urban artificial wetland landscape proposal with a good differentiation degree, which can be used for a comprehensive, reasonable and accurate assessment on the comprehensive quality of an urban artificial wetland landscape proposal as a simple and effective evaluation method. This method also can be applied to evaluation and classification on landscape proposals of other types of green space.
