The sewage diffusion is an environmental material for protecting marine environment. It plays an important role in port engineering. Its effect under deep water was carried out between different diffuser design parameters based on the hydraulic model test, and YangKou port sewage marine disposal project phase II was taken as an example. For this project, jet angle was controlled to be 0 degree, and horizontal angle was controlled to be 0 degree. It not only can ensure that sewage fully diluted mixed, also can avoid the premature convergence and sewage lifting. It is feasible for selecting large angle nozzle under deep water and there are some technical bases have been provided for other sewage marine disposal project.

The sewage diffusion effect under deep water was carried out between different diffuser design parameters based on the hydraulic model test, and Huizhou Dayawan sewage marine disposal project was taken as an example. The experimental results show that the design parameters are significant for sewage diffusion at the near field. For Dayawan project, jet angle was controlled to be 20 degree, and horizontal angle was controlled to be 90 degree. It not only can ensure that sewage fully diluted mixed, also can avoid the premature convergence and sewage lifting. It is feasible for selecting large angle nozzle under deep water and there are some technical bases have been provided for other sewage marine disposal project.

Through the physical model test research on the dynamic response of jacket structure during floating transportation, the state of motion and the cable towing force under different wave conditions are given. The study results not only the scientific basis for the jacket structure construction, but also can be regarded as the relevant technical reserves of the jacket structure for deep-water offshore wharf construction in our country.

Deep water pipeline installations by S-lay present many challenges, especially in the overbend section. The S-lay requires a long curved and stiff stinger to support the pipeline weight. The interaction between the overbend pipe and stinger is complicated such that the numerical structure analysis could not sufficiently predict the mechanical behavior of the installing process. A dynamic substructure model test method with 1:20 length scale for 2000 m water depth is addressed in this paper, where the large scale model structure can be tested to simulate the vessel movements during installation. The roller forces influenced by the stinger stiffness and vessel movements are discussed based on the test platform.

The sewage diffusion is an environmental material for marine environmental protecting. It plays an important role in port engineering now. Its effect under deep water was carried out between different diffuser design parameters based on the hydraulic model test, and sewage marine disposal project in Tianjin south port was taken as an example. For this project, jet angle was controlled to be 0 degree, and horizontal angle was controlled to be 45 degree. It not only can ensure that sewage fully diluted mixed, also can avoid the premature convergence and sewage lifting. It is feasible for selecting large angle nozzle under deep water and there are some technical bases have been provided for other sewage marine disposal project.

Abstract In order to ensure the safety of the single point moored shuttle tanker in waves, the numerical model of a shuttle tanker moored with a fixed point was established on the basis of radiation / diffraction theory and pressure integral method in this paper, which was further checked by a series of model tests. Then the plane motion characteristics of the tanker like fishtailing oscillation were analyzed by applying the combined approach of numerical simulation and model test. On this basis, the effects of wave and ballast conditions as well as mooring line length and stiffness on the plane motion of the single point moored tanker were investigated by means of model test. Overall, the research can provide a reference for the design and safety assessment of deep-water offloading system, and give the technical support for the engineering development of deep-water oil and gas projects.

Information is presented on 38 dolos projects in various parts of the world. Some of the data were collected by means of questionnaires and the remainder are based on publications, reports and personal visits. Information is given on design conditions, structure details, model tests and site experiences. Past dolos research is discussed briefly. Present experience of damage to various dolos structures is described, particularly that to the 2 km long Sines main breakwater. The results are discussed of research initiated by differences in accepted design and model test conditions and the recent dolos failures. This research concerned dolos packing densities, dolos movements (damage criteria) and structural failure of armour units. There is little doubt that dolosse will be used effectively and economically, in the future for many small and medium-sized coastal structures. However, special attention will have to be given to deep-water structures of any kind, with regard to representative design conditions, the effect of the larger waves in the spectrum and the possibility of structural failure of armour units. A few practical suggestions are made for the design of safer dolosse, in the interim, but it is recommended that a major effort be made to collect reliable data on existing structures as well as to develop representative and, preferably, standardized design and model test techniques.
