The study identifies the factors and measures the influence on the use of logistics services by seafood exporting enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. Many research models on the same and relevant fields are reviewed to provide the comprehensive research background of the topic. Thereby, the research model and hypotheses are proposed with 26 observed variables for 05 factors of using logistics services. The survey is conducted in Ho Chi Minh City with 161 valid answers accepted for the analysis. After various statistical techniques to fully analyze data, the findings show that there is statistically significant relationship between all five factors and the use of logistics services by seafood exporting enterprises. Transportation time is the most influential factor, followed by reliability, cost, reputation and service quality. In accordance with these results, implications are proposed for both seafood exporting enterprises and logistics service providers to improve their operations and business performance. Despite the limitations during research process, the study has made a significant contribution to the literature of B2B buying relationship in the logistics industry.

The purpose of this research is to identify and measure the factors affecting the intention to buy apartments of customers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The survey carried out with the participation of 200 customers. The authors explore five factors which affect customer's apartment purchase intention include location, features, brand, finance, and subjective norm. The result from Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) shows that location, features, finance, and subjective norm have a significant effect on the intention to buy customers' apartments. In which, location in Ho Chi Minh City context is the most influential factor, so, it strongly confirm the research of Adair et al. (1996), Clark et al. (2006), Daly et al. (2003), Kaynak and Stevenson (2007), Opoku and AbdulMuhmin (2010), Sengul et al. (2010), Tu and Goldfinch (1996), Xiao and Tan (2007) and Wang and Li (2006). The study also proposes some recommendations to increase the attractiveness of the apartment. What is more, developers, marketers, real estate policymakers can use the results of this research to understand the needs of customers better and satisfy customers.

The logistics sector in India contributes to 14% in GDP and recently has added a lot of consideration from both business industries as well as policy makers. Fluctuating government policies on tax system and guidelines of service providers are going to play an important role in logistics industry. Coordination among many government agencies needs agreement from various ministries and is a barrier for multi modal transportation in India. Growing demands from e-commerce industry and Government initiatives like MAKE IN INDIA, will absolutely bring considerable development for logistics service providers in India. The LSPs need to restructure their strategies with the purpose of gaining all approaching opportunities. LSP’s in India are facing many challenges with the intention to deliver shipments on assured time and in proper condition. In this study, it has been attempted to highlight the challenges faced by LSP’s and what measures can be taken to mitigate the challenges. Based on the opinions of experts and literature reviews from few journals, the challenges and solutions has been identified. This study explains how globalization plays an important role in driving the Indian logistics industry and detailed information about each challenge.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the contribution of logistics service providers’ (LSPs) initiatives to disaster relief and how LSPs are engaged with humanitarian sector. In recent years, the importance of logistics services in disaster relief operations and the capacity of LSPs to improve humanitarian supply chain management have become an increasingly interesting topic for both professionals and academics. Design/methodology/approach This research follows a qualitative approach based on multiple case studies. Findings The current research, after considering the differences and similarities among collaboration, cooperation and coordination and underlining how crucial these mechanisms are in the humanitarian context, explains the contribution of LSPs to relief operations alongside humanitarians. Research limitations/implications There has been increased interest in humanitarian logistics on the part of international academic and professional communities. This study constitutes a first exploratory step in the research to build a platform for benchmarking analysis of logistics services that aims to ensure the effective implementation of social responsibility principles. Practical implications The managerial implications arising from the research offer a range of current responsible actions from which strategic and operative directions to contribute can be derived. Originality/value Humanitarian logistics represents a crucial field in logistics management. This paper addresses the innovative socially responsible initiatives undertaken by the main international LSPs in the area of humanitarian logistics.

<p>This article describes the notion of “customer activity” in logistics services as an interaction with providers. We reviewed concepts of customer activity in services offered by logistics service providers (LSPs) in the food sector. We then analysed customer activity in transport, storage and management of services. We used a direct diagnostic survey for comparative analysis of groups of customers. The roles of LSPs in the supply chain and within the framework of cooperation in the business-to-business market are presented. Basic customer activities were examined by studying the supply chain, within which LSPs adapted their processes to the activities of their customers. The research results present the degree of customer activity in supply chains.</p><p><strong>Theoretical background:</strong> Customer activity in logistics services is mainly understood as part of interaction with providers. This study goes beyond this view by focusing on the independent activity of the customer in solutions related to transport, storage and the management of logistics services.</p><p><strong>Purpose of the article:</strong> The purpose of the article was to review concepts of customer activity in services offered by LSPs in food-sector supply chains; customer activity was characterised and applied in exploratory research.</p><p><strong>Research methods:</strong> A literature review, comparison of groups of customers, and a direct diagnostic survey method were all used.</p><p><strong>Main findings:</strong> The perspective of customer activity predominating among customers allows LSPs to pursue different activities on behalf of different groups of customers. This article contributes to research on logistics services while focusing on the concept of customer activity.</p>

The research aims to explore, measure, and analyze factors affecting the intention to use Mobile Banking (M-Banking) of customers in Ho Chi Minh City. The author conducts a convenient sampling, including 600 participants. The method of the research is the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and a multiple regression model. The results show that there are six factors such as perceived ease to use (EU), perceived usefulness (PU), trust (TR), expected performance (PE), social influence (SI), Facilitating condition (FC) affect the adoption of M-Banking. In which, Facilitating condition is the most influential factor, and expected performance is the least influential factor. Also, this study proposes some recommendations to develop an M-Banking application to help customers gain more insight into the bank as well as actively select the M-Banking application as a reliable transaction method.

This study investigates the causes of food loss and waste (FLW) from the perspective of logistics service providers (LSPs) and provides sustainable options for the Chinese market. To this end, this study reviews the literature on FLW and cold chain logistics published from 2008–2021. Until recently, little attention has been paid to understanding FLW drivers from the LSP perspective. This critical systematic literature review (SLR) aims to identify the potential drivers of FLW and provide a coherent and integrated knowledge base regarding these factors. A configurative SLR was performed, and after a filtering process, 43 articles were analyzed. Potential factors were identified and categorized into four groups: (i) poor management, (ii) inappropriate operational practices, (iii) high cost, and (iv) restrictions. The results reveal that technical inefficiency and facility costs are the most serious risks, and the lack of legislation and standards constitutes the second most serious risk for FLW. Sustainable solutions are recommended to address these risks. Finally, the study findings provide guidance for LSPs to achieve sustainability in social, economic, and ecological dimensions.

<p>Having initiated economic liberalization in 1986, Vietnam is a particularly interesting emerging economy to study. The logistics industry in the country is developing strongly because manufacturers are willing to outsource their logistical activities to specialized businesses called logistics service providers (LSPs). To be sustainable partners of manufacturers, LSPs must adopt an informational integration policy that improves the functioning of their customers’ supply chains. To find out whether Vietnamese manufacturers value information integration, a questionnaire survey was administered to 139 food industry managers. The main research finding is that informational integration between manufacturer and LSP strongly impacts the manager’s perception of its own logistics performance. This result has major implications for foreign LSPs that want to carve out a significant place on the Vietnamese market.</p>

The aim of this chapter is to evaluate the efficiency of third party logistics (3PL) and the importance of outsourcing logistics services from the client’s perspective. The research focuses on current practices related to the extent of use, predictive value outsourcing and performance measures system of Colgate-Palmolive Company in Greece. The study examines the efficiency of the logistics service providers, and its impact on the overall client performance, evaluated through interviews with the 3PL Coordinator, the Logistics Manager, and the Manufacturing Director. The key findings of the work are that logistics outsourcing takes responsibility for non-core business functions, brings reductions of stocks and costs as well as order-to-delivery lead-time, accelerates capital turnover and capitalizes on synergies to achieve efficiency. Overall, its contribution is evaluated by the client as satisfactory and of medium significance, with room for improvements.
