This study aims to examine the implementation of academic quality assurance, as well as the strategies and models used in improving academic quality assurance in the Islamic Senior High School of Surabaya and Islamic Senior High School of 2 Malang. This study used a qualitative approach with a multi-site research design. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is concluded that the implementation of academic quality assurance in the process of implementing education at Madrasahs has been carried out well in improving the quality of learning, academic achievement, and competitiveness of these madrasah graduates. The implementation of quality assurance can be done using the first strategy, the leadership has given trust and responsibility in implementing management guidelines, second, the madrasah activity program is socialized intensively, and third, the preparation of learning tools that are carried out collaboratively. Overall, the implementation of madrasah academic quality assurance has been carried out according to national education standards.

This paper discusses about strengthening the management of academic quality. Oneof the educational problems faced by the Indonesian, these are the low quality ofeducation at every level and unit of educations, especially at primary and mediumeducation. The various attempts have to improve the quality of national education,for instance: developing national or local curricula, increasing teacher’scompetences through training, procuring books and learning tools, improvingeducational facilities, infrastructures, and improving the quality of the school’smanagement. However, the indicators of the education’s quality do not show thesignificant improvement. Some schools, especially in cities show the quite encourageimprovements in the quality of education. But, part of them is still apprehensive,especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The teachers and education’smanagement have experiencesin many things.

The Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) has an important position in ensuring the quality of education of each education unit. A good internal quality assurance process will guarantee the quality of education is maintained and will make it easier for schools to conduct quality mapping, preparing quality plans, fulfilling quality, evaluating and determining quality standards. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation internal quality assurance processes at SMAN (State Senior High School) in the City of Tomohon, North Sulawesi based on quality report. This research was designed using qualitative descriptive research with the data collection techniques include observation and documentation as well as data sourced from the Quality Report online application. The results of this study indicate that the internal quality assurance process at SMAN in Tomohon City has been carried out in accordance with national education standards. The educational quality achievement still needs to be improved so that there is consistency in fulfilling quality. In addition, a culture of quality and cooperation must be fostered in order to support the internal quality assurance process. Likewise in the internal quality assurance process that requires support from various elements in the school, government and community environment.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui realitas upaya guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik di sekolah menengah atas (SMA) se-Kecamatan Bringin, Kabupaten pada tahun 2012, termasuk: (1) Untuk menentukan kompetensi pedagogik guru PAI, (2) Untuk mengetahui upaya guru PAI dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, (3) Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kompetensi pedagogic guru PAI se-Kecamatam Bringin. Penilaian dilakukan penelitian kualitatif, informan terdiri dari guru PAI dan kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru PAI SMA se-Kecamatan Bringin Semarang 2012 tergolong baik, terbukti dari latar belakang pendidikan guru yang linier dengan pelajaran yang diampu, pemahaman terhadap kompetensi pedagogik yang baik, persiapan alat pembelajaran dan manajemen pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan ketentuan (2) upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik adalah dengan memperbanyak referensi mengenai kompetensi pedagogik PAI, menghadiri berbagai seminar, lokakarya, pelatihan, dan mengikuti Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Pihak sekolah juga melakukan upaya melalui evaluasi belajar, memeriksa pembelajaran, supervisi kelas, dan mendorong guru untuk menghadiri seminar pendidikan (3) Pelaksanaan pedagogik pembelajaran pendidikan Islam akan menentukan kualitas pembelajaran itu sendiri, dengan guru yang memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, manajemen pembelajaran akan berjalan lancar. This study aims to determine the reality of the efforts of teachers of Islamic religious education (PAI) in improving pedagogic competence at senior high school (SMA) throughout Bringin Semarang regency in 2012, including: (1) To determine the pedagogical competence of PAI teachers, (2) To know the efforts of PAI teacher in improving pedagogical competence, (3) To know the implementation of pedagogical competence in PAI. The assessment was conducted qualitative research to informants, both PAI teacher and the headmaster. This study uses a descriptive qualitative procedure. The conclusions are (1) pedagogical competence of PAI teachers at SMA 1 Bringin Semarang Regency 2012 is good, proven by the teachers’ linear education background with teaching load, understanding towards good pedagogic, the preparation of learning tools and management in accordance with the provisions (2) efforts to improve pedagogical competence are by reading various reference regarding it, attending seminars, workshops, trainings, and following deliberation subject teachers (MGMP), the school authorities make efforts through the evaluation of learning, classroom supervision, and creating opportunities for teachers to attend educational seminars (3) Implementation of pedagogic on learning Islamic education will determine the quality of learning itself. The purpose of the  research is to describe the  strategy of the  Ministry  of Religious  Affairs in Improving the Quality  of Madrasah Aliyah Management in Seluma District. This type of research includes qualitative research. The subject of this study  was head of Seluma, Head of Madrasah and  principal. Instrument of data  collection using  obser- vation, interview and  documentation, Technique of data  analysis with qualitative data  analysis done interactively and progress continuously until complete, so that data  is saturated. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in improving the quality of Madrasah Aliyah management in Seluma Regency by improving the academic and  non  academic quality by meeting the 8 national education standards in accordance with the PP. 32Year 2013 which  includes content standards, process standards, equipment and  infrastructure standards, graduation competency standards, management competency standards, financing competency standards, competency standards of educators and  education personnel as well as assessment competency standards. Constraints experienced by the Ministry  of Religious  Affairs Seluma in improving the  quality of Madrasah Aliyah management such  as teachers and educators who have not met  the academic standards, still low ability to take advantage of IT, and  Infrastructure Inad- equate. The solution to overcome obstacles in improving the  quality of Madrasah Aliyah management by the  Seluma Regency ministry is to motivate teachers to improve their  educational qualifications, to include teachers in workshops and training, to activate KKG activities and to use IT such as internet, communication tools and social media Others. Keywords: Strategy, Ministry  of Religious Affairs, Quality of Madrasah Aliyah Management.

One of the educational problems that our nation is currently facing is the issue of the quality of education. Various attempts have been made to improve the quality of national education, including through various training and improvement of teacher competencies, procurement of books and learning tools, improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure, and improving the quality of school management. Leadership is one of the factors that determine the successful implementation of SBM. School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. Because schools have very broad authority, the presence of a leader figure is very important. An understanding of the nature of leadership. In implementing SBM, School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. In implementing SBM, principals need to have strong, participatory, and democratic abilities. This research uses a qualitative approach in descriptive form. The use of descriptive methods in this study with the aim to describe an activity of implementing the leadership of the school principal in implementing school-based management which first analyzes the implementation process. The implementation of School Based Management (SBM) at Al-Masthuriyah Sukabumi High School is participatory. This management gives authority from the foundation to the school, and then the school delegates to each teacher and employee. All teachers and employees feel involved starting from planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs. The principle of decentralization considers that the problems that arise in schools will be adjusted as well as possible if the solution is left to the party closest to the existence of the problem. In resolving the problem of education in schools, the most knowledgeable about the problem are the residents of the school itself, especially teachers, staff, school principals and parents of students. The application of participatory management improves the quality and education services so that Al-Masthuriyah High School can compete and produce quality graduates both academically and non-academically. SBM will succeed well if school members have the initiative in carrying out their work and the initiative of each individual is appreciated. What happened at Al-Masthuriyah High School was the lack of school community initiative due to lack of ownership of the school.

Vocational High School has an essential role in preparing the competent workers for the industry. To encounter the 4.0 industrial revolution era, Vocational High Schools must be able to keep up with developments by revitalizing a roadmap so the graduates have in line competencies with the industry’s needs. The revitalization of the Vocational High School roadmaps is inseparable from the principles of 2013 curriculum, the improvement of teacher’s quality competencies through training in the industry, and the application of student-centred learning models, such as; Project Based Learning (PrBL), Problem Based Learning (PBL) that emphasizes on ability for innovation and creativity, the improvement of education personnel’s competence, and the collaboration with business and industrial world. The fulfilment of eight Indonesia National Education Standards (NES) has become absolute. The finding of this study are four main aspects as the basic of vocational road maps revitalization, namely; (1) synchronizing the curriculum with industry, (2) revitalizing the quality of teaching staff and education personnel, (3) revitalizing facilities and infrastructure, (4) optimizing cooperation with industry, and (5) strengthening soft skills competence.

The purpose of the development Encyclopedia biology learning tools and materials as a reference for students of Senior High School is knowing the quality of encyclopedia was developed based on the results of the assessment by a validator. This research include research development. The development model which used in this study is 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, dan Desseminate). The instrument assessement of the encyclopedia quality form of sheet check list by using Likert scale. The kind of data which took is validation from the experts, the response of theacher and students. The results of the expert assessement material, media experts, and linguists an average to 81,3% with very decent criteria. Biology teacher’s response is 84% and the student’s response is 82,06%. Based on the assessment of the validator and responses, so it can be concluded that these materials can be said to deserve be used for the students in the biology learning for Senior High School.
