Freight forwarders are of great importance in the air cargo industry. As the cargo revenue constitutes an important source for airline companies, the evaluation of freight forwarders is vital for airlines’ success. This study employs DEMATEL method in order to prioritize the determined criteria for evaluating freight forwarders from the point of view of an airline. The calculated importance weights are used in an illustrative problem where the ranking of freight forwarders are obtained by employing the simple additive weighting method.

When the school decides to implement the RFID campus-safety system, the administrators always encounter internal and external risk items or difficulties which they know even they don’t know. This study therefore proposes an analytic hierarchy model to help the administrators understand the critical risk factors influence the RFID campus-safety system initiation, and an aggregative risk degree is indicated which risk grade they are in. The importance weights of risk factors and possible occurrence ratings of four risk grade (high-risk, medium-risk, low-risk and none-risk) are determined by using consistent fuzzy preference relations. The relative priority weights of evaluators are taken into consideration at the same time and obtained by simple additive weighting method. By multiplying the importance weights of risk factors, possible occurrence ratings of risk grades and the relative priority weights of evaluators, the aggregative risk degree of implementing RFID campus-safety system.

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a type of freshwater fish consumption with elongated and flattened body shape laterally and blackish white color. Tilapia originated from the Nile River and surrounding lakes. Now this fish has spread to countries on five continents with tropical and subtropical climates. Whereas in cold climates, tilapia cannot live well. ideal water temperature in tilapia enlargement ponds ranges between 27.7-29.3 ° C, where fish will grow optimally at water temperatures around 25-32 ° C.for the pH of the tilapia enlargement ponds range between 6, 4-8.5 and turbidity range of 3-19 NTU, because this high turbidity level has an effect on the amount of tilapia mortality. With the system that the researchers created, it was easier to determine a suitable fish pond to maintain as a life of tilapia with the help of the Internet of Things network system and reduce the failure rate in breeding and implementation of Thingspeak as a platform to display the results of data obtained by sensors and calculated with method calculation. This system takes data with temperature sensors, pH and Turbidity, to find water temperature, acidity and alkalinity in water and turbidity of water. Then the data obtained is sent to the ESP8266 module network and sent to the thingspeak platform, the data that appears is inputted into the database to be processed using the SAW method, the results of the SAW method calculation are displayed by the system. Implementation of the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) Method for Detecting the Feasibility of Iot-Based Fish Ponds (Internet of Things) has been successfully implemented. So that it can rank tilapia ponds based on parameters of temperature, pH, turbidity.

<p>The Sea Beach Cahaya is one of the rising beach attractions in Kendal Regency, Central Java. In general, the tourism object of The Sea Pantai Cahaya still does not use many computer systems in their daily lives. As with tourism ticket purchases and also entrance tickets, vehicles that still use ticket paper as proof of payment, it is often disrupted if it is still fussing with the queue conditions and questions by visitors. On the other hand, report data collection is still considered slow.</p><p>One way to overcome the above problems is to make a ticket payment system that is computerized using the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method, replace paper tickets with a card model and also use the network to shorten report generation.</p>

Majors are part of higher education institutions that a very important role determining the thesis student supervisor . At the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) the determination of the thesis supervisor is carried out through a lecturer meeting based on its title in accordance with the competence of the lecturer who will guide, regardless of the number of lecturers' workload or the number of students being supervised. The results of the decision of the meeting to determine the supervisors will be announced to students after the meeting is held. This flow inefficient and may lead to ineffective determination of the supervisor . The final result of the system shows that the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method can be applied to determine the weight value of each attribute so as to produce a ranking of each alternative lecture who will be selected as a student supervisor for the thesis according to the result of computerized and accurate calculations.

MNC Group as a television media company, performs performance appraisal for each employee as a job evaluation material, which is carried out by the head of the division, one of which is the head of the technical division of 112 other employees. The process of evaluating employee performance at MNC Group is still done manually, which is using Microsoft Excel applications one by one which makes the length of the process. The employee's assessment and appraisal report does not display the ranking from the top to the bottom of all of the employees. Decision support system in evaluating employee performance in MNC Group using the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method with this white box test is made to assist the head of the division to expand employee appraisal capabilities. The employee performance appraisal process is carried out in a computerized, structured and systematic manner based on the assessment criteria previously determined by the MNC Group, namely the quantity of work, accuracy & time management, quality of work and efficiency. The SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method is a weighted addition method by looking for weighted sums of performance ratings on each alternative on all attributes. So that it can be obtained from every employee at MNC Group. Testing of system results that have been made is very necessary to know that the system is running well. Tests carried out are white box testing which is based on checking the details of the design, using the control structure of the program design procedurally to divide the test into several test cases. So that the value of the test results is known, namely 2 with the type of procedure is a simple procedure and the risk level is low risk.

Make or buy decision answers a fundamental question in the development of a manufacturing strategy. It requires consideration of both quantitative and qualitative factors diverging in a broad range. This study presents a two-stage decision model which incorporates fuzzy multi-criteria decision making methods to support make or buy decision of a company operating in the wood building products sector. The first stage comprises fuzzy SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method to evaluate the decision on market entry, then the second stage integrates fuzzy SAW and fuzzy VIKOR (Multi-criteria optimization and compromise solution) methods to evaluate sourcing options. Proposed approach is demonstrated on an example invoked from a real-life problem. Then, sensitivity analysis is conducted to test the robustness of the models.

Nowadays along with the rapid development of industrialization across the globe, the environmental and ecological impacts of products have become a serious issue. Taking into account purely the economic impacts of industrial decisions, and excluding their ecological impacts, make the human beings and animals more at risk to many threats such as global warming, ozone layer depletion, toxic environments, and natural resources depletion. To minimize the environmental effect, implementation of green supply chain management (GSCM) is much more essential for industries in the environmental and social point of view. The purpose of this chapter is to analyze barriers to an implementation of green supply chain management in a stone crushing plant of Southern India by using modified simple additive weighting (SAW) to rank approaches. Further, this study will help the small-scale industries to understand the factors affecting implementation of GSCM in their organizations.
