Background - KarnavedhanaSanskara is one of Important Sanskara. The process of ear piercing is known as Karnavedhana mentioned in ayurvedic text. In today’s era goldsmith, physician, beautician and Boharin performs Karnavedhana. Whether these performers are aware of method explained by Acharya Sushruta? To find answer to aforesaid question this observational survey is carried out. Aim -Understanding the different methods of Kar- navedhana i.e. ear piercing. Objectives - To understand different methods, different performers and proper site of Karnavedhana. Material - Ayurvedic literature i.e. Sushruta Samhita; Survey sheet; Research papers; Articles; Journals; Internet. Methods - Type of study – Observational study. Conclusion- There are four Karnavedhana performers in society viz 1. Goldsmith, 2. Physician, 3. Beautician 4. Boharin. Commonly used methods are gold- smith and physician. No above performer has knowledge of scientific method of Karnavedhana explained in Sushruta Samhita. Keywords: Daivkrutachhidra, Karnavedhana, ear piercing, Boharin.

This paper analyses Children Protection in the Islamic Family Law of the Southern of Thailand and the Civil Law of Thailand. The common issue faced by the Court or the District Islamic Department is the rising number of hadhanah claim cases. This research is meant to investigate the rights of children regarding hadhanah based on the Islamic Family Law of the Southern of Thailand and to which extent the laws stated follow the syarak rules. This research utilized few approaches which are the content, deductive, inductive, and comparative analysis. Basically, the findings suggest that the differences between the two laws can be accepted as both laws are originated from distinguished backgrounds. Therefore, both laws play crucial role in completely protecting the children in hadhanah cases, as well as promising safety and peaceful life for the children even though their parents’ relationship is in crisis.
or its success. However, research on PDR with special emphasis on stakeholders and their significance in success and sustainability of the projects is limited. This paper provides a systematic literature review (SLR) to amalgamate and synthesise research in this area. It focuses on the identification of the stakeholders and significance of their engagement in PDR activities for a more sustainable and resilient built environment. Research papers published in peer reviewed academic journals from 2000 to 2014 were identified through three major research databases, using T/A/K search options. The selected research papers were reviewed and critically analysed to identify the stakeholders and mechanism of their identification. This research revealed that contemporary research is unable to identify a commonly agreeable scientific method for identification of stakeholders and their interests. This research has outlined an exhaustive list of stakeholders that have been identified by the researchers. Based upon systematic review, this research has also provided background information, recent trends and a future direction for research in the specific field of stakeholder engagement in PDR projects.

The ability to contribute consistent, fundamentally sound critiques is an essential element of the scientific peer review process and an important professional skill for investigators. Despite its importance, many students and junior scientists do not have an adequate working knowledge of how to effectively critique research manuscripts. Part of the problem, in our view, is that novice referees often lack a comprehensive understanding of the basic issues that should be considered in evaluating scientific articles. Specifically, they tend to overemphasize certain limitations (usually methodological), while missing other key points related to the scientific method that should be weighed much more heavily. In our journal club and graduate courses we have been using a "checklist" to help graduate students and postdoctoral fellows critically analyze original research papers. In this article we present these guidelines in the hope that they will serve as a helpful resource for students and other novice reviewers when critiquing scientific manuscripts.

Significant increase in number of natural disasters during past decades has triggered huge investments in reconstruction projects. Typical post-natural disaster reconstruction (PDR) projects are different from routine construction projects due to certain additional challenges. Abstract. Background: The purpose of this observational study is to report the six-month clinical outcomes with a new multiple stent delivery system in patients with femoro-popliteal lesions. Patients and methods: The LOCOMOTIVE study is an observational multicentre study with a primary endpoint target lesion revascularization (TLR) rate at six months. Femoro-popliteal lesions were prepared with uncoated and/or paclitaxel-coated peripheral balloon catheters. When flow limiting dissections, elastic recoil or recoil due to calcification required stenting, up to six short stents per delivery device, each 13 mm in length, were implanted. Sonographic follow-ups and clinical assessments were scheduled at six months. Results: For this first analysis, a total of 75 patients 72.9 ± 9.2 years of age were enrolled. The majority of the 176 individually treated lesions were in the superficial femoral artery (76.2 %, 134/176) whereas the rate of TASC C/D amounted to 51.1 % (90/176). The total lesion length was 14.5 ± 9.0 cm with reference vessel diameters of 5.6 ± 0.7 mm. Overall 47 ± 18 % of lesion lengths could be saved from stenting. At six months, the patency was 90.7 % (68/75) and all-cause TLR rates were 5.3 % (4/75) in the overall cohort. Conclusions: The first clinical experience at six months suggests that the MSDS strategy was safe and effective to treat femoro-popliteal lesions of considerable length (14.5 ± 9.0 cm). Almost half of the lesion length could be saved from stenting while patency was high and TLR rates were acceptably low.
